BREAKING – Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia Dies…

OMG – News is breaking that 79-year-old Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has died.  Has been on bench since 1986.

antonin scaliaTEXAS – Associate Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead of apparent natural causes Saturday on a luxury resort in West Texas, federal officials said.

Scalia, 79, was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch, a resort in the Big Bend region south of Marfa.  According to a report, Scalia arrived at the ranch on Friday and attended a private party with about 40 people. When he did not appear for breakfast, a person associated with the ranch went to his room and found a body.

Chief U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia, of the Western Judicial District of Texas, was notified about the death from the U.S. Marshals Service.   U.S. District Judge Fred Biery said he was among those notified about Scalia’s death. (link)

This is incredibly consequential considering the 5-4 make-up of the court, and considering that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been widely rumored to be considering leaving the court.

If Obama is able to replace Scalia and Ginsburg the Supreme Court could shift to 3-6 in favor of liberal ideological worldview prior to the end of President Obama’s term in office.

From a commenter at lucianne dot com:

Infrared cameras and night vision land operations were being conducted around the ranch Sat night.
At 4:30am, night operating helicopters from Ft. Bliss were hovering in the mountains just west of the ranch.
Black SUVs with darkened windows were observed entering and departing the ranch in the early morning hours.
Highway 67 was closed off by the Feds between 110pm and 60am.
There was electronic jamming of communications devices during the same time period.
Coincidentally, the FAA redirected all FAA air traffic around the area from 110pm Sat until noon Sunday.
      No autopsy.

What? That’s proof positive of a heart attack. It’s like THE most common symptom-pillow over your head.

Perhaps I have become too jaded about politics, especially with this election season; but, consider this scenario: neither Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton are viable establishment candidates. With the death of Justice Scalia, the President can nominate Hillary for the Supreme Court. This creates the opening for Vice President Biden to enter the race out of his patriotic duty to the nation. Elizabeth Warren becomes his running mate. The establishment puts Hillary into a position where she can control outcomes of crucial Supreme Court cases, Justice Ginsburg can now resign and be replaced by another, but much younger liberal justice and we have a strong liberal majority on the court for many years to come. With the vast number of liberal appointments to the lower courts, the conservative view is shut out for a generation.

      • Josh says:

I can’t see him nominating Hillary. There are soooo many others from which to choose – Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Michelle Obama … heck he could appoint himself! Who thinks anyone in the Senate would not vote in favor of whomever he chooses?

        We are so screwed!

      Justice Scalia… irreplaceable.
All justices should take care not to transgress… ?

    • Linda Ruth says:

Scalia had to have known all of this, so the question is, “Why would he go to this ranch in the first place?” Would the person who allegedly found him, lie? Why would Scalia even trust him?

      Scalia definitely murdered
UPDATE: Scalia was found dead by none other than ranch owner JOHN POINDEXTER, you know, the Iran/Contra guy. What could possibly be amiss with that??
And Drudge actually posted the clue: Scalia was found with a pillow over his head. Considering the fact that Scalia was very physically active, active enough to carry a gun in the woods and hunt, I doubt he choked on a pillow without a little help. And obviously a heart attack/cardiac arrest will follow, because that is what happens when you die, your heart just stops . . . . . . there is more on Scalia down this page a ways, the clan had very good satanic reasons to off him. . . . . .
Now we need to know the background on the Cibolo creek vacation ranch, including the owner, to see how connected it might be to forces that might want Scalia offed. The story does not wash, I do not buy casual pillows over heads when important people are dead.

      For historical reference:
By PHILIP SHENON, Special to the New York Times
      Published: March 17, 1988
WASHINGTON, March 16— Lieut. Col. Oliver L. North, Rear Adm. John M. Poindexter and two other key participants in the Iran-contra affair were indicted today on charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States by illegally providing the Nicaraguan rebels with profits from the sale of American weapons to Iran.
The indictment was the most sweeping criminal action against former White House officials since the Watergate scandals, and presented to President Reagan the politically delicate issue of whether he should pardon his former aides before his term ends next January.
On February 13, 2002, Americans were warned that our nation was facing the threat of danger to homeland security. Three hours later it happened, but nobody told America.
That day, John M. Poindexter was appointed Director of the Pentagon’s Information Awareness Office.
      Meet America’s New Big Brother
America’s Big Brother is Watching You Who’s John Poindexter?
A retired Navy Admiral, John Poindexter lost his job as National Security Adviser under Ronald Reagan, and was convicted of conspiracy, lying to Congress, defrauding the government, and destroying evidence in the Iran Contra scandal. [1]
      Iran Contra Success Stories
      Background Facts: Iran Contra Affair
These men were involved in a secret and illegal covert military operation, whereby weapons were being sold to an enemy state, Iran, and the profits from those sales were going to illegally fund an army of rebels the CIA was building in Central America.
Documents were shredded, Congress was repeatedly lied to, and an untold number of human beings were killed with the weapons of destruction that were secretly being shipped by the US to different parts of the world.
Each of these men played a role in the scandal and the subsequent cover-up, but instead facing ruin and disgrace, their careers actually prospered. Today they are top government officials, billion dollar defense contractors, shapers of public policy, and leaders in the media.

Dang! The media are such heartless, dirty, empty headed…empty hearted jackals!
A well known paper posted a photo of the (supposed) room where Scali was napping. HOW can they do that! He has family….9 children and 20 grandchildren iirc plus wife of course! They are so vulgar!
Who does such a thing! Just let it go. What, they think the public are nothing but a bunch of do-nothing voyeurs. He was a highly respected brilliant human being. May he rest in peace. btw there was nothing to see in the photo.

    • nwtex says:

oops. Apparently I allowed the media to annoy me to the point where I wasn’t watchful of my typing. The “…vulgar” remark ended up in the wrong place. Looks bad. sheesh.

    From the later newscast.
    A “for what it’s worth”.

Ranch owner recalls finding Justice Scalia
    10:20 PM. CST February 14, 2016

“He’s a man who went to sleep and just didn’t wake up,” said John Poindexter, a Houston businessman who owns the 32,000-acre ranch that sits about 30 miles south of Marfa.

“I and a friend of his who came from Washington, DC, knocked on his door and didn’t get an answer and presumed he was probably in the bathroom. He’s a Supreme Court Justice. Maybe he just didn’t care to answer the door,” Poindexter told News 8 after stopping by the justice’s room around 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning.

They returned three hours later, just before lunch.

“About 11:15 or so the same gentlemen and I – his friend from Washington – went to his room, entered by a side door after knocking on it vigorously and found him in his bed.”

“His sheets weren’t crumpled. His hands were on his chest. He was perfectly at ease,” added Poindexter.

If anyone is interested here is the interview….

I am shocked and even more shocked that if he did have pillow over his head that there was NO autopsy. It’s Drudge headline!

Perfectly normal for a conservative Supreme court justice set to rule on major issues to be found dead in his room with a pillow over his head…in Chicago

    • Aaron Lohr says:

Have you never placed a cool pillow over your head when you had a headache? Have you never placed a pillow over your head when you wanted a 100% darkened space in which to rest? The justice said he wasn’t feeling well when he went to bed the night before. Additionally, he was not on a hunting trip this time — also, perhaps, because he wasn’t feeling all that strong? He was 79 and not in perfect health. I also think an autopsy is called for, his body is still intact. But all this conspiracy shilling is just too much.

I was unaware of this thread when I posted some information on the OPEN thread about Justice Scalia this morning, and nobody yelled at me yet. So, shall we get back to normal? 😎
