UPDATE – *Not Cruz Campaign* – Campaign Push Polling In South Carolina…

UPDATE 2/4/16 The caller identified TPC as “The Polling Company“, Kellyanne Conway’s group. Conway later disputed the assertion, and claims TPC is “Target Point Consulting”, not part of the Cruz campaign.

ted cruz largeFYI – A reader in South Carolina was the recipient of a telephone poll today.  Knowing the machinations of politics she identified the push polling method used.

After hanging up, she did some research and identified the Ted Cruz campaign. (see below)

“I live in SC, and I received a call from TPC Polling  today– a push poll against Trump. I looked up TPC, and it’s owned by Kellyanne Conway, who works for Cruz”.

The last two questions came after I identified Trump as my candidate. They (recording) asked something about how Trump wanted to work with Putin, and “was that a good idea”?

Then they asked the slanderous question, saying that Trump wants to close veteran-owned small businesses because they made the neighborhood look bad, and does that make me very angry, a little angry, or not angry at all.

After that, the call disconnected.

It would appear Senator Ted Cruz’s campaign is picking up in South Carolina right where his campaign left off in Iowa – same tactics.

update-1UPDATE:  Kellyanne Conway, says the identification of TPC is identifying the wrong outfit.  There are two TPCs.

  1. NewOrleans says:

A $100 million lawsuit against Kellyanne Conway by Trump would stop the silliness immediately and put others on notice that he won’t put up with this kind of crap.

  2. Wigitgetit says:

In my profession this is called social engineering.

  3. Jeffrey Raum says:

Rubio and Cruz have both pimped themselves out to the establishment, their careers mirror Obama, first term senators with the Hispanic flavor to lure Hispanic voters, just as Obama was elected because of his race. I like Trump because what you see is what you get, and I believe he will follow through with his promises because he loves this country, and his ego will drive him to be the best president he can possibly be! He will go directly to the American people and expose the corrupt establishment politicians trying to block his mandate that America will give him. The media and the establishment are scared!

  4. Evony Master says:

Judging by Michael Meyers (Managing Partner & President) over at Target point’s twitter, they seem to be seriously pro RUBIO and as expected anti-Trump. So, it might not be the shyster to blame for this one amazingly. Trump needs to get to the bottom of this, cause RUBIO is probably his biggest threat in NH.

  5. stobberdobber says:

Despite what she says it doesn’t sound right. The QUESTIONS point to a POLLING company-not a consulting company. Fishy to me.

  6. Carol says:

More and more the fraudster is caught in his evil.

  7. Eric says:

Ted Cruz is using social engineering tactics to win. Obama did the same thing. I do not want another President who wins deceptively. If you can’t win without these digital data-run campaigns, you are not worthy of the office.

  8. wanda mason says:

    it wasnt cruz see update

  9. milo minderbinder says:

Screw you Ted Mc Carthy. I am voting for Trump, and will never vote for you or RUBE y Yo. Drop Dead.

  10. William Heino Sr. says:

If you see something, say something.

What else is Ted Cruz selling?

As citizens,”We the people..” in support of our United States Constitution, cannot let well intentioned citizens to support theories unsupported by the Constitution, U.S. law, and the Immigration Act in order to promote a candidacy for President of the United States.

The United States Constitution, “No Person except a natural born Citizen of the United States, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office…”

The qualification being, “No person except a natural born Citizen…” If you are born in the United States you are then, therefore a “natural born citizen” of the United States. Ted Cruz on the other hand, born in Canada in 1970 to a United States citizen is not considered a “ natural born citizen” of the United States, but a “citizen” of the United States.

Why? The Naturalization Act of 1790 passed three years after the U.S. Constitution was written with the wording, “natural born citizens”. However, the 1790 Naturalization Act was superseded by the Naturalization Act of 1795 which changed the language from “natural born citizens” to just “citizens.” The change meant to clarify the U.S. Constitution, “No person except a natural born Citizen of the United States,….”

Senator Cruz was born in 1970 to an American citizen while living in Canada. He came to the United States at the age of 4 in 1974.

Senator Cruz will make it a point to remind listeners, of the law as it is,… “under the Constitution.” Along with that, his understanding of Immigration and Nationality law. One of the requirements of naturalization is, “… and do you have an understanding of U.S. history and government (civics)?” Are we going to stand by and allow an unqualified “citizen” to qualify.. for President of the United States and bypass all 229 years of American law and trash our Constitution?

Another of the many law references for Senator Cruz to overcome in his quest to “establish justice” is the 1952 amendment to the 1857 Immigration and Naturalization Act. Which reads in part, “…in all other respects, however, the naturalized citizen stands, ‘under the Constitution’…on a legal footing with the native citizen’ save as regards eligibility to the Presidency.”
(The Constitution and What it Means Today. Page 89. Edward S, Corwin. 1978 Edition Princeton University Press.)

On a whim, Senator Cruz is attempting to rewrite United States history, remaking the Supreme law of the land, the U.S. Constitution,. Since 1795, Congress has required that all candidates for naturalization formally renounce allegiance to their native land and all other foreign power. After living in the United States since 1974, 42 years after entering the United States as a “alien” meaning, any person not a citizen, only then in May of 2014 Senator Cruz renounced his Canadian citizenship.

How else do you differentiate two distinct persons in birth? One being born to a United States citizen living in, say for example, Canada? A Canadian at birth. The other being born in the United States. Are we to call them both “natural born citizens“? But, natural birth happened in two distinct and different sovereigns. Like all law you need to define each birth place with a label allowing for the difference, because the courts will not let you get away with it.

And further troubling is Senators Cruz’s response to a question of family citizenship, his response, “I’m not going to engage in a legal debate.”

“When in the course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands that have connected them to another, and to resolve…” Declaration of Independence July 4th 1776.

The Declaration of Independence was signed to separate us from the “reasons dating back to England.” There are those that will desperately cling to “English common law” to explain how a carpetbagger from the North can be President of the United States, because “English law is clear and unambiguous.”

    William Heino Sr.

  11. Cruz is a scumbag who will do anything for a vote.

  12. Kenneth says:

Quit saying it wasnt cruz, the question s were geared and set up to bash two canidates, trump and rubio. So who ever it is, and im sure the cruz campaign will try to distance itself from it but obviously they are calling for cruz, cmon folks, cruz campaign brags about thier technology and calling all kinds of people. So yes cruz campaign is dirty and they will do wtever it takes to try and win. Folks, thats exactly what we have now with rep. Congress, and rep senate, but nothing to help rep. ever gets passed are done. They are enlightened when they get to Washington and turn into big wigs who forget about the voters who put them in. Trump has been a big wig on his own for a while so he has challenged himself at this point on life to fix America. He will do and work for us and to me thats awesome. Even if he does 1/4 of what he wants, we will be that much better America. Cruz couldnt do nothing and brags that stood on principles, well you still did nothing, so your approach was wrong.

  13. I would be among the first to out Ted Cruz, but I think this particular attack may be coming from the Bush clan although they’re so tangled together it’s hard to tell. You know Cruz was out praising GW Bush his mentor.

TargetPoint, Thomas B. Edsall and James V. Grimaldi wrote in the December 30, 2006, Washington Post, that Target Point was able to:

On Nov. 2, GOP Got More Bang For Its Billion, Analysis Shows

“Delve into commercial databases that pinpointed consumer buying patterns and television-watching habits to unearth such information as Coors beer and bourbon drinkers skewing Republican, brandy and cognac drinkers tilting Democratic; college football TV viewers were more Republican than those who watch professional football; viewers of Fox News were overwhelmingly committed to vote for Bush; homes with telephone caller ID tended to be Republican; people interested in gambling, fashion and theater tended to be Democratic.
“Surveys of people on these consumer data lists were then used to determine ‘anger points’ (late-term abortion, trial lawyer fees, estate taxes) that coincided with the Bush agenda for as many as 32 categories of voters, each identifiable by income, magazine subscriptions, favorite television shows and other ‘flags.’ Merging this data, in turn, enabled those running direct mail, precinct walking and phone bank programs to target each voter with a tailored message.”
