Iowa Secretary of State Identifies Cruz Campaign ‘Voter Shaming Letter’ as Fraud – “Misrepresents Iowa election law”…

The Iowa Secretary of State, Paul Pate, has now called out the Ted Cruz campaign for falsely representing Iowa election law, in their campaign “shaming letter.

Press Release Below:

iowa state sealDES MOINES – “Today I was shown a piece of literature from the Cruz for President campaign that misrepresents the role of my office, and worse, misrepresents Iowa election law. Accusing citizens of Iowa of a “voting violation” based on Iowa Caucus participation, or lack thereof, is false representation of an official act. There is no such thing as an election violation related to frequency of voting. Any insinuation or statement to the contrary is wrong and I believe it is not in keeping in the spirit of the Iowa Caucuses”.

“Additionally, the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office never “grades” voters. Nor does the Secretary of State maintain records related to Iowa Caucus participation. Caucuses are organized and directed by the state political parties, not the Secretary of State, nor local elections officials. Also, the Iowa Secretary of State does not “distribute” voter records. They are available for purchase for political purposes only, under Iowa Code.”

  2. Not just false, creepy. He claims to be for less government in our lives and then sends out Orwellian fliers letting voters know he is watching. Does he also sneak around at night looking into peoples windows?

This is not an IOWA problem… These facts came out AFTER counting..many rumours during but nothing conclusive. Also, this is on a blog so I would wait to see it “official” before doing anything rash (no offense meant to conservative treehouse) My gut tells me that Rafael Red Cruz is a snake, but I can’t take that to court either😉

While I vehemently disagree with your characterizations of liberals on your “About Us” page, I thank you for pointing this out about Cruz. Frankly, the Republican offerings scare the daylights out of me; not so much because of their conservative ideology but because of their idiocy in some cases, corruption in others, and downright evilness in the case of Cruz.

    • You mention idiocy and yet the democrats solution for a tie is a coin flip. Idiocy, really, coin flip decides the winner, who really is idiots?

    • Would deciding a winner based upon a coin flip be a form of idiocy?

Hold the phone there mbbuffum… “their idiocy in some cases, corruption in others, and downright evilness”

Let’s talk about Hillary Clinton… Scandals a mile long. Just because she has escaped prosecution shows you bribery is still alive and well in the USA, Even if she is found not guilty, she should have a day in court over the crap she’s pulled. She is a case of prime evil, even the ole Teflon Don in the mafia got caught eventually… and good old I want to tax you all 90% Bernie. The money will come from the 1% that stole it. Okay, even if that’s true… Once he gets the money back, and uses it for his plans, the money will run out very quickly. Then what? He has no idea of economics. That covers Crazy and idiocy.

Now let me state categorically I don’t think all liberals are crazy or evil. But damn, you guys couldn’t come up with better candidates? Seriously? Neither one of them has ever sponsored a single bill that has passed. Nothing. nada. No accomplishments. Is that the best the liberals can do? If you’re gonna throw stones, step away from the glass house. You may get cut… Then you’ll feel the “Bern”…

You make the assumption that all Democrats or liberals support Hillary. That she only tied Sanders by winning coinflips should show you that we don’t want her in the Oval Office either.

It happens to be the democratic ideology that has destroyed america. The GOP has no guts to stand up to what is right and the law. But liberals are delusional and in denial of the facts and proof what the democratic communist party has been doing to all americans!

It seems to me this is the same Secretary of State who just refused to address Clinton cheating by saying caucuses were party activities and not official elections…waffle much?

The blog post quotes the Secretary of State: “Caucuses are organized and directed by the state political parties, not the Secretary of State, nor local elections officials. ”
So that is the exact same thing they said in the Clinton “Cheating” that you mentioned hoppleganger.
