war with megan kelly continues. trump may not show up if she is on the panel. this is getting good. if fox backs down and pulls her, trump will own the high ground for good. therefore fox will ‘not’ pull her. if trump doesn’t partake and instead puts on his own townhall, fox ratings for the debate will be very much down and he will still own the high ground to a lesser extent to be sure. the only way kelly wins this is if trump shows up and she nails him to the wall with some garbage like last time only with more meat on the bone. must watch tv.

If Trump holds his own Town Hall, and if he gives detailed answers to questions – in his serious business voice, not his campaign voice – his broadcast will get great ratings, and the Fox debate will get very little attention. That would be an exercise of power that would impress a lot of voters.

Can you imagine the pressure on Kelly now?

A lot of money on the line and I bet there are a few personalities at FOX who are pissed at having to take a bath in this mess themselves because of FOX’s fixation on Megyn Kelly.

I have to wonder if the Trump team knows something, like Kelly not handling pressure well, and are tightening the screws in the run up to the debate.

I prefer TRUMP don’t go FOX, because with all the polls show he can do better without it. It would be so cool that TRUMP do the townhall himself and got huge ratings. FOX falls. There is no downside for TRUMP in my opinion, do you all agree?

I watched Mr. Trump’s interview with Wolf Blitzer. He still would not definitively commit to the debate.

I’ll bet that he tells Roger Aisles that he’ll do the debate, provided Megyn is not allowed to ask Trump any questions. That would be tricky but might be a good compromise. I see it as mostly a pre-emptive warning to Fox that they best play nice. Considering the NR debacle and backfire, Fox would be wise to be careful.

We have all been so conditioned by decades of PC that when we hear some of these things we cringe and say to ourselves, “Oooh, he shouldn’t have said that. IT’S TRUE, but he shouldn’t have said that.” But when he holds fast against the criticism and then doubles down, he gives us the courage to say, “Yes! IT’S TRUE, and FINALLY somebody has the guts to say it.” And that’s how the “Overton Windows” moves in the right direction.

Unfortunately, we do understand many of them. They are socialists at minimum and believe (fantasy life) that they do not have to work. We need to bring them back to the “joy of working”. The emotion of joy comes from accomplishments. The feeling only happens after bearing the burdens and the negative feelings to get to the other side. By persevering, good things often happen and successes accumulate — and joy, and satisfaction. No need for drugs, hypersex, antidepressants, or fructose. No need for sketchy friends who might promise some false salvation (like Beck for Cruz). Help bring them back to the good times of everyone working and doing their part. Working for The Donald is the best start.

Many of them have never had a real choice, they have been handed the limited range of choices their political masters have wanted them to have (and we would have had if Trump had not entered the race). They have not had good role models. They are afraid of the risk of the employment free market (like government employees do not want to the risk of having to perform, and being fired if you don’t). I believe that Trump can offer them something different, better, SO MUCH better that those who have manipulated them and killed their vision and initiative will go away. Let’s hope. HOPE FOR REAL POSSIBILITIES is the manipulator-killer.

But debates do give him opportunities to demonstrate his abilities answering questions asked of presidents, and reinforcing his strength on crucial issues, compared to the other would-be front runners. He did himself no harm sending Ted Cruz packing on the “New York values” question, and may have earned himself some NY admirers.

I wish, I wish, that 1) if Fox doesn’t substitute for Meg someone who wants to question candidates seriously and respectfully; and 2) if they don’t limit the big debate to four, then good-by Fox. Been good knowin’ you. Of course, Trump probably would have to be ready with his own outlet for magnificent townhall meetings in addition to going on the other media. I would love this approach. I would love to see him questioned by intelligent, honorable reporters and thinkers. Trump knows what’s best, though.
