And then, well, you’re probably going to want to….
I’ll heartily endorse Lauren Stephens’ notion of Trump ’16/Trump ’20/Cruz ’24/Cruz ’28. The day they ally, the primary contest is OVER.

Ted Cruz needs to withdraw from the presidential race, immediately. He is roasTED ,ToasTed and DONE.

Not only roasted and toasted but, DAM IT he is not constitoootionally (levin) eligible. Wish Trump would pound away to that point. The democrats will if Cruz is nominated. Levin and Rush will not engage in that eligibility conversation
I’m with you grainofsalt. Cruz is not fit for public office. Including the Seanate. Including the Supreme Court.
I don’t understand how Lauren Stephens can present such a damming case against Cruz, a case which screams for prosecution and sentencing, and then turn around and promote him for VP, to be followed by his Presidency. It’s illogical.
Ms Stephens was in need of a proof reader and, clearly, someone to challenge her assertion that 1) Cruz is a liar & a law breaker & a hypocrite and 2) she supports him being President for 8 years after he is Trump’s VP for 8 years.
Ted Cruz public office holder ? No. Just no. Go home to Calgary.

As you say, assertion number one by Stephens contradicts assertion number two. With Cruz, what you see is not what you get, and it has been a disturbing revelation how untrustworthy he is.
Agree, Stephens presents a good case of how untrustworthy Cruz is which to me disqualifies him for any trust from anyone. He can not be trusted to continue the battle that Trump is waging and this battle will take longer than 8 years to get accomplished.
The funny part is that Donald would have fired him for this dishonesty on his television show. He’d have been fired no question. Donald was being up front with Rafael Eduardo Cruz when he told him he had some things to get cleared up. Unfortunately at that point for the Canadian, he was already out of time on his filings. I don’t think Donald would bring him on now that he exposed his character flaws.
Me neither. Slick Eddy would sent all of our jobs to Canada. Definite conflict of interests if you ask me.
I really cannot understand these people (not directed at you, necessarily, SouthCentralPA) who, out of their own mouths, acknowledge Cruz’s non NBC status, his ethics issues- all of that, AND that Trump is the best candidate for president, yet they STILL want Cruz mixed up in it somehow. Where are these people coming from? WHY does Cruz deserve this special ”mentoring”? Why is he so ”essential”?
I’m not geting any answers at all. Only further arguments that he must be included. It’s weird.
Both Cruz and Rubio are completely Constitutionally ineligible.
I’ll heartily endorse Lauren Stephens for Trump’s VP. She has more competence and love of this country than 99.999% of our politicians.
Forget Stephens. I nominate Sundance !!
I second the nomination!!!

Article II Section 1 says Cruz is ineligible.
The 12th Amendment says because Cruz is ineligible to be President, he is also ineligible to serve as Vice President.
It is important that we follow and defend the Constitution, even if Ted Cruz doesn’t.
Cruz lost me when he “forgot” to report his Goldman Sachs loan.
He lost me AT Goldman Sachs.
What if he had gotten his secured loan from Bank of America, which took bailouts?
i think Levin will shred this letter not because he can defend any error in the research, but to have its author go to such length to diminish Cruz’s fitness for office based on credibility issues and then turn around and suggest he be put in the VP slot and perhaps after 8 years get his own gig is simply mind boggling. How does someone come up with such a convoluted result? I would have suggested an independent proof reader before posting this letter.
This is comedy gold! GOPe blames Trump for GOPe atrocities, then argues that Trump is the tool of the GOPe. They are confessing and then trying to claim Trump as one of their own. Because of this, we must choose one of the remaining GOPe candidates.
Erickson doesn’t go into much detail with this. This must be his new hobby.
WTF BECK FIND HIS MEDS QUICK

Can’t watch or listen to Beck.
I used to love him until he went kookoo.
It was only 30 seconds in which Beck crucifies himself and his conservative bona fides.
…and exposes himself as a complete hypocrite, full of himself blow-hard.
thesiterep – “until he went kookoo”. Just out of curiosity, can you place a time frame on that ?
I found Beck mildly interesting, yet weird, when his show was on HLN. As soon as he moved to FOX, all filters were off and it was clear to me, from day 1, that this guy was a coo-coo for coco puffs conspiracy freak with a very low intellect.
I’m curious when others realized what he was. Was it when he started the blaze and reinvented himself as an un-Biblical end times prophet who sold gold & cowboy hats?
Beck went coo-coo right around his “Restoring Honor” Tent Revival in September of 2010 or thereabouts.
Is he nuts? Or just constantly trying to sell himself? Andrew Breitbart said he stole ideas and materials from others. He lies and distorts information, especially about people. He has the attention span of my dog. Always chasing every squirrel he sees.
I think he’s unstable. I think the only reason he’s gotten as far as he has is b/c he’s stolen and climbed on others, not b/c he’s bright.
I first saw him on FOX. I knew he was scattered and not a clear thinker, but some of his shows were interesting. I didn’t think he was evil until recently though.
Fox is where I began watching Beck. I would only glance at his program when he was on HLN. But I found his early stuff interesting. I enjoyed the history stuff.
Beck turned me off when he got preachy. I noticed Fox cut him lose soon after Beck became a holier than thou preacher on his program.
Ted Cruz, a Nixonian type psycho-crook.
The Lauren Stephens letter to Levin is so damaging,Cruz should just resign, leave the Senate, move from Texas, go back to Alberta, and see if there is an exorcist up there who can cure him.
He has no future in politics with this fact sheet of offenses.
And he jumped poor Marco for some credit card shenanigans.
Trump will bury him with this stuff.
Do the right thing, take your family, Ted and go home to Calgary.
You are beef jerky.
Principled Conservative, eh?
BECK: “I think I’m much prefer her [Hillary] as president and may have voted for her against John McCain….I think John McCain would have been worse for the country than Barack Obama.”
Yet, he is (falsely) criticizing Trump for supposedly voting for Obama. This video needs to go viral.

Just off of my Twitter feed alone this video has been retweeted at least 25-30 times since late yesterday. Seriously, this is the bomb!
Glenn Beck has mental issues. Seriously.
Glenn needs to go another dozen rounds of 12 Steps until he recognizes and owns his ‘defects of character’ and gains honesty and humility.
Georgiafl – Beck will never attain a state of honesty and/or humility. Beck is a career con-man. Con men change their schtick to keep the cash flowing, but they never change who they really are in their heart of hearts: hustlers.
Beck’s first incarnation was as a hard partying, coke snorting, joke telling, foul mouthed, pornographic, left-wing shock jock. But that con ran it’s course.
He reappered a few years later reinvented. This time in the lucrative field of conservative leaning talk radio. With a gift for story telling and a mostly positive, uplifting show, his con found a nice niche.
Then FOX grabbed him and he reinvented himself once again. With his black boards and psedo intellectualism he found his greatest con yet: preying on the week minded and low information people who are susceptible to conspiracy theories. The glitz and glam of being a major cable TV star was so intoxicating (and lucrative) that he had to constantly up the ante on the coo-coo. He pulled off the biggest craziest con in cable history.
Then came the Blaze. What does a con man do when he’s already pushed the envelope on batsh-t crazy ? A con man goes for the REAL money; a pseudo televangelist ! Become an Elmer Gantry for the modern era with a TV show that reaches millions of rubes, suckers and morons. Who needs those low-Tec tent revivals to pull in cash when you can con millions through fiber optic cables ?
Thus we have the current reincarnation of the every changing schtick that is the con-man Glenn Beck: a full blown conspiracy nut who backs up his apocalyptic forecasts with non-Biblicle phrophesies, scaring the daylights out of the mentally unstable and elderly. Plus, he’ll be happy to sell you gold bars ! Plus, he has a line of blue jeans & cowboy hats !
Oh and the special events !! Come to Alabama ! Join him in the “Never Again is Now” march for unity ! For SPECIAL marchers who “restore unity” by paying $1,500, you will be given a “preferred march spot” at the front part of the line, very near to Glenn ! And Glenn doesn’t want to publicize it, but he WILL be wearing a BULLIT proof vest, so pray for him by sending donations !
So as I said, Beck will never be honest, never be humble. It’s not in his character. He is a con man. He was a con man yesterday. He is a con man today. He will be a con man tomorrow.

(shudder) I didn’t know about the elite high-price marches and bullet proof vest business.
There was some other guy who had large marches and gatherings for a while, but I have forgotten the name.
Beck frequently has compared himself with MLK, Ghandi, and Walt Disney. This “network you are building” crap goes only so far. Right now his only programming is basically just televised radio shows.
Yes!! You described him perfectly!
Beck was on CNN before going to Fox. I will have to defend him on one thing. On his 5:00 pm Fox program, he exposed a lot of Obama appointees (czars as well) and their leftist backgrounds. He is almost entirely responsible for Vann Jones resigning from the administration. I believe the White House got to Roger Ailes and Ailes tried to put the lid on Beck so Beck left Fox or was fired.
Once he “left” FOX, he became the victim and he needed to reinvent himself again. Hence the Godly Glenn Beck complete with medical issues. He’s still in that phase.
And he is simply a Con-man with a big C.
I never followed Mr. Beck, so I don’t know much about him, but I always thought he seemed like a failed actor, maybe he is and that is common knowledge, I don’t know, I am just saying what I see without much background on him.
No reason I can see for him to have failed. I think he would have been great as a regular on Sesame Street or Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. I am not being facetious. He might have been able to pull off a Shakespearean villain in summer stock or a guest starring role on Law and Order.
So I see most of what he is doing as an act. I’m an Orthodox Christian, so his Christian stuff freaks me out. It is these types of Christians the left sees most in the media, Mormons, evangelicals, prosperity preachers, etc., with a progressive Catholic thrown in every once in a while. No wonder they think Christians are stupid.
I hope I am not insulting anybody, but theology matters. Christians should be intellectuals, cultivating their minds, not using free-association. At least Mitt kept the magic underwear on the inside of his pants.
Just my 2 cents.
What’s an orthodox Christian? I’ve never heard of one before.
It’s Eastern Orthodox Rites – Greece, Russia etc … They are close to Roman Catholic Theology pre Vatican II.
Good people. Good Christians. They pratise the TRUE faith. That’s why they’ve been around so long. Just like the members of the Holy Roman Church established by St. Peter 2,000 years ago.
Having spent a lot of time in Cheddarland, what this woman says about the corrupt GOPe Good ol’ Boys Network there of Priebus, Walker and Ryan is dead on !!!
I would hope and certainly believe it will happen, but President Trump has to completely clean house and get some honest people in for a change !!!!
Beck should get back on the sauce soon as its obvious he cannot cope without his bottle. That being said phony whack job McCain was the best POTUS vote that I NEVER made. 2008 was a great year to leave POTUS blank. What horrible choices.
I couldn’t vote for McCain either. I voted for GHW B, Bob Dole, GW Bush and Romney (holding my nose all the way) but I simply could not stand McCain and his open borders crap. After the fact, I see the others were just as lame and pro-illegals. I’m done with the GOP except for trying to vote my current RINOs out of office. Beck is definitely a psycho and needs help. Glad he hooked up with Pastor Ted–they deserve each other.
I voted for Sarah Palin. Unfortunately her running mate really was a drag on her campaign.
2008 I voted for Chuck Baldwin, Constitution Party candidate…whose platform was close to that of Trump. Baldwin was viciously attacked by Jim Robinson and Free Republic (FR is just another RedState NRO Salem type of Liberal RINO nonsense).
Jim Robinson is all in for Trump. He’s gone so far as to start deleting threads that hold contrary views.
So there was an article on Waterloo news site that mentioned endorsements .. Funny they never mentioned Cruz at all and no Beck. They did mention Palin. http://www.kwwl.com/story/31027214/2016/01/21/countdown-to-caucus-expectations
“Endorsments” funny you should mention that. Establishment shrill and phony “constitutionist” Mark Levin opened his discredited radio show on Friday night bitterly mocking the effectiveness of “so called conservatives” (ie: Schalfly & Palin). He claimed that such endorsements have no meaning. LOL !
He then bitterly mocked those who call the writers of National Review’s latest edition “establishment”. He said “Since they’re so establishment we won’t talk about them any more! Does that make you happy ? And while we’re at it, the Founding Fathers were establishment TOO. SO WE WON’T TALK ABOUT THEM OK ?”
Yep. That’s right Mark. The “Founders” are JUST like the pundits of National Review.
Mark Levin is a pathetic, lying, constitutional hypocrite and fraud. He’s done. Washed up. Finished. Looks like his future stepson is working for a loser too. Maybe Levin can get him a job in Mitch McConnell’s office next time.
National Review, hoisted on their own petard (h/t/ voday.blogspot.com)
501(c)3 tax exempt next month?
And I wondered where they were when Ryan the RINO for speaker…
I couldn’t hold my nose and vote for McCain either, I voted for whatever 3rd party candidate was on my ballot that year – Harry Browne maybe? Can’t remember. but Hillary? NEVER.
Why are we even the slightest bit surprised at the man behind the Ted Cruz mask? HE’S A FRICKIN’ POLITICIAN!!! Worse yet, HE’S A FRICKIN’ LAWYER, TOO!!!
I dunno any more. I’ve lived 70-some years. I thought I’d seen it all. Guess not.
How gullible we are!! How morally and spiritually bankrupt are we that we won’t even take the time to find out just exactly who the hell these idiots are who claim to wish to “represent” us. In EVERY political office! Every frickin’ one, fer cryin’ out loud.
Go Trump, at least he ain’t as bad as ALL the other ones!
That was a passionate but respectful plea to Levin to not sell out his principles from someone who is obviously a fan and an ardent grassroots activist, the kind of people the Republican Party relies on to win elections. There is something very rotten in Denmark, if longtime conservatives are canceling subscriptions and writing these letters.
The Bush family has run the GOP party into the ground. Donald Trump might not be the second coming of Reagan, but he obviously supported the man. I watched her video of the 1988 convention in New Orleans. There was also a video of Trump talking to Oprah about running for president, such a young man! But he was the same person. That would be such an effective ad proving that Trump always sounded like this. He is authentic in his love of country and the American people and our freedom!
Has anybody in the history of broadcasting ever owned a more punch-able mug than Beck?
Well apart from Alan Colmes that is, oh and Chris Mathews, oh and, sorry this could take a while.
WATCH THIS and you will really want to punch him.
Was anyone else put off by the recording of Cruz on YouTube that Lauren Stephens linked to? He won ONE Senate election, but he talks like he’s a seasoned political consultant and election expert. He reminds me so much of BHO, very arrogant yet no real substance or experience to back it up.
Cruz and Beck meet to plot campaign strategy.
Two days later, Cruz says, “I won’t get in the mud with Trump”.
One day after that, Beck starts firing off “Trump is Hitler” type comparisons.
Cruz should quit hiding behind people, particularly that loser Glenn Beck.
I just got banned on TRS for posting the letter by Lauren Stephens
badge of honor
TRS was a daily stop for me. Quit going a while ago, when it was clear I – as a YUGE Trump supporter / volunteer – was NOT among friends there. TRS is team cruz… [Of course, TRS isn’t the only site I stopped going to. Have an extra hour in my day now, having eliminated the sites that refuse to consider boarding the Trump Train! Incredibly grateful for TLR providing so much information that I can use in conversations with family and friends – and even some strangers, like the guy at Lowe’s who thinks DT is in this to ‘give the office to Hillary,’ when “they” start in on DT did this, or said that… Much like how my Mom, to this day, still thinks Sarah Palin said, “I can see Russia…” Google it, Mom, Tina Fey said it NOT Sarah!] I have printed Lauren Stephens letter and am going to make copies to start handing out… There are still so many people out there that refuse to see the truth!!!
Several sites I’ve stopped visiting and email newsletters I no longer receive. People have become insane!
Great letter from Lauren Stephens. Sent it out to a few friends. 👍
Beck should get along well with Heidi Cruz she appears to have some mental issues was picked up by police who thought she was a danger to herself.
BTW Sundance here’s a great video to go along with your article….
Ted Cruz’s Father: My Son “Anointed” To “Take Control of Society”
Teen Ted Cruz joked of goals: ‘World domination, you know, rule everything’
That video is hilarious. “Word domination” Hahaha
What a goofball.

BECK is completely nutz.

You are who you associate with, so Cruz and Beck have much in common. They both want to dominate and will lie to attain their goal.
