Latest NBC/WSJ National Poll – Candidate Donald Trump More Than Doubles National Lead…

In an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll conducted January 9th through 13th (full pdf below) you find the origin to this article: “Donald Trump is one of the most important political figures of our time” – NBC Chair Bob Greenblatt

What we are witnessing is the moment when what the opposition wants, runs into the reality of what is going to happen.   Candidate Donald Trump is going to win the GOP nomination, and with it – The White House.

All of Trump’s political opponents, ideological opponents, and transparently visible media opponents are, at various points in the next several weeks, going to have to admit the obvious – We, and he, have beaten them.

When you’ve followed the modern legacy media constructs, and the political maneuvering of the K-Street recipients intensely, you begin to be able to predict their next moves.  They are all now in full hedge-bet mode.

President Donald J. Trump could very well be the destructive force, with Sampson-like capabilities, who tears down their entire Potemkin village and leaves them completely naked to their enemies, us.

That is the current reality the internal adversaries of America are facing.

So how do the “gaslighters” react, when ‘all-of-a-sudden’ they become aware their victims have caught on to the ploy?

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Donald Trump has more than doubled his national lead in the Republican presidential race ahead of Thursday night’s GOP debate here, according to the results from a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

Trump is the first choice of 33 percent of national Republican primary voters – his highest percentage in the poll. He’s followed by Ted Cruz at 20 percent, Marco Rubio at 13 percent and Ben Carson at 12 percent. Chris Christie and Jeb Bush are tied at five percent. No other Republican presidential candidate gets more than 3 percent.

Trump’s 13-point lead over Cruz is an increase from last month, when he held a five-point advantage over the Texas senator, 27 percent to 22 percent.

[…]  Maybe the most striking finding in this NBC/WSJ poll is the growing GOP acceptance of Trump. Back in March, only 23 percent of Republican primary voters said they could see themselves supporting the real-estate mogul. Now that number stands at 65 percent.  (read more)

Would a Brokered Convention Stop Donald Trump?

Will the GOP establishment steal the 2016 nomination from Donald Trump even if the magnate arrives in Cleveland with the most pledged delegates but short of the 50 percent he’d need to be nominated?

Is a back-room deal in the works to have a “brokered convention” to deny Trump the GOP nod? I think there is such a plan and it must be exposed.

Donald Trump is our last hope to make Washington work for us – not the lobbyists, special interests and billionaire donors who control the corroded two-party system. As Trump says: “America is going to hell!”

I am a veteran of nine national Republican presidential campaigns, including the floor of the 1976 Republican National Convention for Ronald Reagan. My sources inside the Republican party are warning me:

The insiders have a stunning plan to stop Trump even if he wins the primaries.

The plan involves stalling Trump short of a majority on the first ballot, since many of the delegates pledged to him would no longer be legally bound to support him on subsequent ballots. There are many, many Trojan Horse delegates inserted by the GOP establishment who could bolt from Trump after that first ballot.

Remember, up until March 14 all primaries have proportional delegate allocation. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97%
, Chris Christie, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79%
, Jeb Bush and the rest will be winning delegates, too.

There are 278 Super Delegates who are GOP establishment insiders, likely opposed to Trump. They constitute 4 percent of the convention. Thus, Trump must win 54 percent of delegates elected in caucuses and primaries to guarantee he could block a plot to stop him.

To make it worse, Convention Rule 40 B says the Candidate must have a majority of
delegates in at least eight states. The Romney people passed this rule in 2012 when they had control of the party. It hurts Donald Trump.

By hanging in the race long after they have any chance of being nominated, sustained by Super PAC money, Trump’s opponents can drain votes and could perhaps stop Trump from gaining a majority in any state – even while he is winning a plurality. Bush, Christie, Rubio and Kasich, I’m told, are in on this plan. Many GOP insiders calling it the “BIG STEAL.”

For example, Trump could win every primary, but the Bush-Rubio-Christie-Kasich-McConnell-Ryan-wing of the GOP could block Trump and seize the nomination for an establishment alternative. Rule 40B could block Trump from the nomination, bypass Cruz and pave the way for a backroom BIG STEAL deal that nominates, say, a Rubio-Kasich ticket.

Many party moderates and GOP congressional establishment types would rather have Hillary Clinton, who they can wheel and deal with, then Trump, who vows to drain their swamp.

The Trump candidacy is a citizen insurrection, an authentic uprising. We want to make America Great Again! The Washington consultant and lobbyist class are scared to death because Trump cannot not be bought. Trump is his own man and he will bring radical reform to government.

The BIG STEAL has already begun. Even today, a Super PAC supporting John Kasich is spending $2.5 million on harsh negative ads attacking Donald Trump. Jeb Bush and his billionaires have spent an estimated $16 million attacking Trump on TV. Chris Christie attacked Trump this week, calling Trump a “carnival barker.” All of this is part of the BIG STEAL plan to stall Trump short of a majority of delegates and force a brokered convention.

We must demand the Super-Delegates vote for the winner of the primaries, not some “STOP TRUMP” candidate like Rubio or Bush. The Trump forces can repeal Rule 40 B, clearing the way for a Trump nomination by a simple majority – with 51 percent.

If Trump is robbed at the Republican National Convention, millions of American tired of the two-party insiders and the Washington insiders will not vote Republican. Millions of working class Democrats won’t vote Republican. Hillary Clinton will win.

But maybe that’s what some in the Republican Establishment want.

      Just one thing.

If Trump wins in a landslide, all the above is irrelevant.

and if he wins Iowa even by a small margin, then he will very likely run the table, i.e. landslide.

The GOPe’s last hope is that some primaries are shared between the 2-3 top candidates. BUT if it isn’t and indications are it sure won’t be then all their best laid plans are scuppered.

This is grasping at any straw they can, this is why Jebby will and is attacking everyone, he knows he has lost, but he is spending his money to try and splinter the field, otherwise known as total desperation.

We are past the meltdown stage, this is desperation on steroids.

In reference to some legit “brokered convention” posts here, I would like to offer this as some insight I’ve found along the way. It’s not the last, official word on delegate rules, but there is alot of good info. I think the 3 bullet points at the of the 2nd section entitled “Delegate Allocation to Presidential Contenders and Sanctions” should add perspective to this question. I think the RNC has very little room to fool with delegate binding and assignment, under heavy penalty and I’ve heard Reince say as much. Please give it a read and let me know what you think. I find comfort in those 3 bullets: http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P16/R-Alloc.phtml

The GOPe has spent all its time since 2004 putting down and trying to deactivate the Jacksonians that Dubya activated winning in Iraq — and Obana reactivativated craming down Obamacare — and now trying to scam past them in 2015-2016. They never learned what it would take to win them over.

It was always about crapping on the Jacksonian middle class to take the Plutocratrs open borders/managed trade 30 pieces of silver and feel superior to “Bubba.”.

        Now they will have nothing.

It could not happen to more deserving jerks.

I’m glad Roger wrote the article but I’m not sure that the reading comprehension skills of the Cruzbots is refined enough to grasp reality.

Maybe as we get closer to Feb 1 and their pastor’s numbers continue to free-fall they will finally accept the inevitable. Trump needs every delegate so he can win in the first round and avoid the brokered cnvention.

Since the whole brokered convention talk started, I’ve been thinking that Cleveland Ohio would be a great place to vacation this summer, say around July 17th or so. Great weather and good times meeting say a million Vulgarians there? Deep down the GOP powers that be are cowards, I doubt if Reince Priebus would have the stones to steal the nomination from Trump with one million Vulgarians just outside his door. The location of the convention in the Rust Belt is the worst logistically for the GOPe, with millions of Vulgarians within a short drive of the convention site.

I will write in “Donald J. Trump” in clear, perfect block letters. I will then vote for the independent or democrat in all the under-card races in my voting district.

I will vote out every last republican on the list; the under-card will pay for their leaders’ antics.

If we all do this, the incumbents will go down. If they take our plan seriously, however, they would be well-advised to pass word up the chain that they won’t support any underhanded anti-Trump schemes at the convention.

From where I sit, the RNC/GOPe-GUP has the future of their party’s faithful in their hands.

I simply won’t stand for any of the GOPe’s trickery, and this is the one thing I can do to counter-punch.

    • There must be an extreme cost to attempt this and that cost would have to be a major walking away from the polling both, regardless of office or who is on the ticket. The GOPe must see that if it’s a landslide Democrat year and they lose everything, there is no reason for the GOP to be backed by their donors anymore. No majorities = no donors = no kickbacks = end of the ride for the GOPe. If half the Trump supporters stayed away and didn’t support any GOP, the loses from federal, state and local would be massive and change the complexion of the country forever. THAT is the cost the GOPe must be informed to expect and let them decide if they want to roll the dice or not.

The two edge sword of NSA snooping being used against those that oppose the Uniparty by blackmail is why I agree with Rand Paul on the mistake to support ‘Big Brother’ powers of the NSA. But I am afraid the expedient Rubicon crossing is viewed too favorably at this point in history.

The eligibility thing is clearly hurting Cruz. As I’ve mentioned before, no NBC challenge will ever be decided by a court unless Cruz himself raises it (either because he is kept off a ballot or seeks a declaratory judgment — as Trump is so helpfully encouraging him to do).

But every day Cruz has to talk about it throws him off message and sows doubt in the subconscious of the electorate.

“Hey I didn’t raise it – – people are talking.” It’s a brutal tactic but its working.

The closer we get to vote results, the more the polls have to approximate reality. Look at the crowds, that is the only way to see how far off the polls are.

One other thing, normal folks that work for a living are averse to is letting others know their true support for Trump due to the media demagoguery. So the true vote results are going to blow GOPe ropers right out of their granite offices and leave them in the unemployment lines where they have abandoned hard working proud American’s lives and their families.

And have no pity on the GOPe rotters.

Some of these ads are not benign, IMO. Ads are one of the easiest ways for .gov and .dnc to get on your box / tablet / phone, get passwords, get information about you, etc. Even the residual, “selected safe ad” that WordPress tries to leave, is not safe, IMO. Some of those “carefully vetted” ads have “accidental” behaviors that look like cover for exploits. There is little difference between “whoops – we’re sorry it grabs focus” and “whoops – we’re sorry it grabbed you password”, as long as the chances of getting called on it are miniscule. Bad ad only has to run for a short while here to get data on a lot of Treepers.

Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough, weighed in on Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s rally in Pensacola, FL, a city of which was in the district that he represented in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Scarborough indicated that it was unprecedented for Pensacola to draw such attendance for a presidential campaign event.

“I was at George W. Bush’s campaign rally in 2004 at the final stages of that unbelievable presidential race in early November,” Scarborough said. “I saw Reagan come to Pensacola twice in 1980. I saw the crowds. I never saw anything like that in my hometown before. It’s absolutely staggering, here we are — in early January. I’ll be honest with you — I guess seeing it in your own hometown, I don’t get it as far as the size of these crowds go. It’s like nothing I saw with Reagan. It’s like nothing I saw with Bush. It’s nothing I saw with any political candidate what I saw come out of Pensacola last night.”

Later in the segment, Scarborough said he doubted any of Trump’s opponents could draw a crowd close to that of Trump’s crowd.
