Former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair previously gave testimony to an investigative panel of Parliament regarding the decision-making in/around the 2011 overthrow of Libyan leader Muamar Gaddafi.  Blair was acting as an intermediary trying to resolve the crisis.  As a result of that testimony a transcript of a February 25th, 2011, phone call has also been released.

blair kaddaffi

It is important to remember on the date of this phone call, the U.S. decision to intervene in Libya was very much undecided.   U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was working with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and U.K Prime Minister David Cameron.

President Obama was specifically, and at the time, notoriously, absent from publicly commenting one-way or the other.  Pressure was building on the White House to weigh in on the Libyan issue.  The interventionist activity was the original construct of Secretary Hillary Clinton, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, and Senior White House adviser Samantha Powers.

Sarkosy with Clinton - whatz weeth you americanz nowCameron and Sarkozy

Many people, including senior U.S. intelligence and military advisers were stating the U.S. had no national security risk, and there was no need for our intervention.  Secretary Clinton was trying to form a coalition of support to depose Gaddaffi.  Clinton claimed the opposition forces to the Libyan leader Gaddaffi were freedom fighters, “rebels”.

Many people, including us, were using foreign media sources for information and analysis and specifically noting the “rebels” were not what Secretary Clinton was claiming; more specifically those “rebels” held all outward appearances to be factions of al-Qaeda North Africa (AQIM), along with inbound islamist fighters from al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsular (AQAP).

From the transcript you can now see 2011 Gaddaffi warning Tony Blair the people who rose up in Benghazi (Eastern Libya) against his regime, were indeed, al-Qaeda.  Gaddaffi further warned Blair that any action to aid this group, or to diminish his ability to put down the uprising, would ultimately end with Islamists using Libya as a launching ground to attack Europe.

While hindsight is always 20/20, in 2016 we can all clearly see now, that Gaddaffi was 100% correct and Hillary Clinton, David Cameron and Nicholas Sarkozy were 100% incorrect.

A rare peek into the Geo-political world with profound ramifications.  Here’s the transcripts:

Additionally, you’ll note this call was February 25th 2011.   It’s very fortunate that in 2011 we were tracking this activity, on this date, very closely – SEE HERE.

You’ll note a specific reference on Feb 25th, 2011 to a couple of issues.

Justice_Abdel-Jalil_27feb11First, the appearance of Justice Minister Mustafa Abdel Jalil, aka Mustafa Abdel Galil (both spellings used intermittently depending on media), who we immediately identified as a political al-Qaeda operative closely associated with the leadership inside the Muslim Brotherhood movement.

Here’s an excerpt of Jalil’s positioning:

[…]  Meanwhile, former Libyan justice minister Mustafa Abdel Galil, who resigned from his post earlier this week, warned on Friday that Gaddafi may use biological and chemical weapons against civilians, according to an Al Jazeera report.   “We call on the international community and the UN to prevent Gaddafi from going on with his plans in Tripoli,” Galil told Al Jazeera.   “At the end when he’s really pressured, he can do anything. I think Gaddafi will burn everything left behind him.”  (link)

Secondly, February 25th 2011 was the date when Hillary’s State Department botched the evacuation of State Department personnel, leaving them stranded in a Tripoli port aboard a ship that was too small for the evacuation.   Another article HERE

Lastly, on the date of this phone call, February 25th 2011,  – what was President Obama doing?  (watch the video)
