White House Delays New Sanctions Against Iran – Democrat Iran Deal Supporters Left In Wind…

President Obama pressured/threatened all Democrats and UniParty membership Republicans to support his Iranian Nuclear Deal, they did.  Now Iran violates the deal, sanctions should be applied, but the White House says – meh, violations… no biggie.

Golfing-While-the-World-Burns

(Via Washington Free Beacon) A last minute delay last week in the implementation of new Iran sanctions has some prominent congressional backers of the nuclear deal accusing the Obama administration of capitulating to Iranian demands, according to sources both on and off Capitol Hill.

Senior Obama administration officials at the White House’s National Security Council told Congress Wednesday morning that new sanctions were coming as a result of Iran’s repeated ballistic missile tests, which violate current United Nations Security Council Resolutions prohibiting such activity.

However, the administration quietly walked back its announcement, telling lawmakers that the sanctions would be indefinitely delayed.

The move sparked a fierce backlash among prominent congressional leaders who have served as chief advocates for the administration’s efforts to ink a nuclear deal with Iran.

Sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon about the delay claim that the administration has repeatedly allowed Iran to dictate the terms of the deal out of fear that the Islamic Republic will ditch the deal before it is officially implemented later this month.

Iranian leaders have made clear that any new U.S. sanctions will force it to walk away from the nuclear agreement. In the wake of the new sanctions debate, Iranian military leaders announced over the weekend they are working to increase the strength and destructive power of the country’s arsenal.  (read more)

I am not supported Obama, but I do want to challenge some of your fundamental premises about him for argument sake. One, he has been triangulating against the Wahabi Saudis, not unlike Nixon and China against the Soviet Union, because (1) the Saudis and OPEC have been screwing the American people for decades (2) 11 of the 15 9-11 hijackers were Saudi (3) the Saudis including the other Wahabi Gulf States have been supporting their ISIS, Al Qaeda allies and yes (4) Valeria Jarrett is Shiite Muslim. Last, after seven years of research, I have come to the conclusion that Obama is not the religion of his father, but of his mother and the grandparents that raised him. How in the world can I possibly propose such a notion? Look at his real advisors, David Axelrod, David Pflouffe, dual citizen Raum Immanuel, Fed chairs Janet Yellen, and his personal choice for Treasury Secretary Jack Lew. Would a true Muslim surround himself with this group, or has this been an extremely elaborate ruse, beyond most people’s even rudimentary comprehension to advance this New World Order under the supposed guise a “Muslim” CoC. Just some things for you to think about and I am not asking for some ad hominem retorical attack.

Now Erdogan is making his Turkish waves, while Iran flies its filthy flag, and the Saudis are deciding with whom ot ally besides their corrupt selves. I don’t even think that Obutthead understands any of these nuances, which even among Arabs is subtle. What as ass.

SharonK, I don’t like it, but it is what it is. Back in Nixon’s day, when we were totally taken off the gold standard; Kissinger came up with a plan/agreement with the Saudi’s. All oil purchased from them, must be transacted in US Dollars. (Heard the phrase Petro-dollar?)
For this “benefit” we agreed to defend them. That is one of several things that helped the US Dollar be the Reserve Currency, which in the end, (now) has been a bad thing. It’s what has allowed DC to print $$$ to their heart’s content, and is why we are fast approaching 20 T. in acknowledged deficit spending.

There may also be, good or bad, geopolitical implications to this too.

Donald Trump is the only one strong enough to stand up to the establishment and fix what’s going on. I’m for Donald Trump 100%. Take a look at these two video’s,

Yes, a muslim would work with Jews — they would work with Christians, pagans, atheists, and all points in between. And as for Obama — while I highly doubt he believes in much of anything but his own corruption — I’m pretty sure he’d go with whoever appears to be offering him a sweet deal (and the muslims are the ones he feels are, so there’s that).
In some ways he is triangulating, but in what direction? Obama has been triangulating against the Wahhabi Saudis, but this deal does not really help out Shia Iran in the long run. Oh sure, right now they seem to be getting a lot of cards to hold, but it is what their actions presently set up to happen that is the tell. However, I highly doubt that this triangulation has anything to do with the best interests of this country; rather, there is something else going on — something that America will be affected by, but which basically has little to do with America in and of itself (other than possibly trying to make sure America will not or cannot play a part in keeping a lid on developments, which we can’t anymore, and will not or cannot play a part in tipping the scales against said developments once they kick off in a big way — we are nearly there right now).
KSA no longer looks to the U.S. as its protector against Iran (and there is a threat from there; yes, it has to do with religion as much as Middle East power politics). Where has the KSA (and its newly formed coalition of Sunni muslim countries) recently turned? Guess which nation’s leader just got access to Kaaba? That nation is technically Sunni, like the KSA, but it is a different branch that is less egregious to Shiism (so Iran is more likely to deal with them, plus one of their major ethnic groups is culturally/ethnically tied to this other nation, so there’s that too). It’s strategically located and affiliated to do a whole lot of something in that region as well, and our leader seems to be bffs (plus having a love affair with the Muslim Brotherhood) with that nation’s leader. That nation’s leader would definitely like to have their old empire back (so the Gulf States and Iran may be in for a very big and not so nice surprise in the near future), and has also been the valve for refugees into Europe — and to top it off said nation’s leader just made some comments alluding to a certain mid-20th century ruler while a change in their government took place. Something tells me that while the KSA’s goose is probably cooked, Iran isn’t going to come out the winner in this deal in the long run. For the rest of us, things just got real interesting.

Erdogan recently was invited into the Kaaba (that’s their black stone) — through the Gates of Allah itself. That’s like the holiest of holies; it’s significant. Saudi recently started up a Sunni self-defense league of sorts — ostensibly against IS, but it doesn’t take much to realize it’s against Iran. Turkey is a part of it.
But Turkey also has some friendly ties to Iran (and they both have dealings with the MB as well as IS — the Shia Sunni split is there, but it isn’t as cut and dried as many Americans think)…Iran attacks Saudi (who was recently emboldened enough to chop the head off that cleric), the two of them go at it. Saudi likely gets destroyed (I’m pretty sure the Iranians have or could get quickly enough material to nuke them) but Iran gets pretty badly bloodied too. If anything, damage to the oil fields or cease of flow through Hormuz — everybody takes a big old hit (although Turkey has that pipeline deal and dealings with IS oil production coming out of Iraq, so they stand to make some money). Turkey gets to step in as the “peacemaker” and extend its power over the Mid-East (which means Jordan and Egypt are most likely screwed, and then Israel, so there goes any somewhat reliable ally we might have in the ME), which most Turks are going to be happy with (even if they don’t much care for Erdogan) as having their old empire back, well, is something near and dear to most Turks — pan Turkism has never gone away (and ethnic Turks stretch all the way across Central Asia, into China and they are almost to a man all muslim, can you see the repercussions/possiblities there?).
And Erdogan just said something to the effect “Hitler had it right”…plus the official new sources coming out of Istanbul are calling him “like onto Mohammed, even Allah” — this is considered an ok thing to say in Sufism. It should give everybody a heads up though as to what sort of personality we are dealing with here.

And the only thing Putin has to do with this is: if Russia makes a move to protect itself from its traditional enemy, Turkey, well NATO. At which point the U.S., Russia, and possibly China occupy themselves with fruitless fighting among themselves, and that leaves some people in a position to capitalize on it — namely that muslim caliphate thing.
Putin’s a jackwagon, and I don’t trust Russia — but on this I’m not so sure the old Cold War mentality has gotten misunderstood or blatantly forgotten for the sake of profits by some.
And I don’t think Romney really had much of a clue — he just looked smarter because he was up against some truly traitorous folks.

I will never be impressed by the fearmongering about Iran’s missiles and nuclear program until someone explains why it’s OK for some countries to have nuclear weapons and missiles, but it’s not OK for Iran to have a nuclear program (not even nuclear weapons!) and missiles. Why is it OK for the one country that has actually used nuclear weapons in the past (in the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki) to test nuclear-capable missiles (as the U.S. did recently, off the coast of California), but it’s not OK for Iran to test ballistic missiles?

Biggest issue is what happens if they both take out each other’s oil production: the global economy isn’t in the greatest shape, because the world has not made provisions for this, not to be enacted soon enough I’m afraid.
While on one level I don’t have very much sympathy for either country, if even a conventional war goes beyond the proxy stuff they have been doing against each other (let alone nukes) then the rest of the world is facing some mighty hard times when we least need it economically. That in turn leads to other things.
Besides, it will open up the door for another actor to step in (and I think we are seeing the staging acts for that to happen in the Middle East; I don’t think the KSA or the IRI are going to be the net winners here) — and sometimes the devils you know are better than the ones you don’t. Oh well, at this point I don’t think there’s going to be any way to stop what is probably going to be a series of very unfortunate events.

Iran bad in reality probably good
Putin bad in reality probably good
    Trump bad in reality Awesome!!!
    Saudi good in reality Crap.

I know I’m going to receive a lot of flack on this, but Obama is doing the right thing in this instance.
Don’t let the war mongers drag us into conflict. I don’t think Iran is the enemy in this case.

          You’re logic isn’t fleeting, it’s non-existent.

In what universe could Iran possibly be good for the U.S.? If you don’t have an answer besides, “Well, the media thinks they’re bad, so they must be good,” then you’re horribly uninformed. Seriously, if you can’t name cogent points to support your position you’re spouting nonsense.

Calling out Iran for its threat to Middle East stability doesn’t mean the U.S. has to go to war with them. But it certainly doesn’t mean we should hand them $150B, like Obama wants, to further their current financing of state-sponsored terrorism.

Do your own research…don’t expect others to illuminate your lack of understanding.

Not surprising that you didn’t address a single issue about Iran, which is the only issue I countered you on (and has nothing to do with Trump). The issue isn’t what does the media think about Iran, or for that matter, what does Tump think about Iran (and all he’s said is the recent agreement we “negotiated” and committed to, which Iran didn’t even bother to sign, stinks). What matters is the truth about Iran and its relationship to the security interests of the U.S. And you still haven’t defended your position on that relationship except to say:

              “If the media say’s (sic)
they’re good then it’s probably the opposite

And here are just a few reasons why you’re wrong…

Iran has been holding 4 U.S. citizen hostages, one man since 2007:
                  http://dailysignal.com/2015/07/24/meet-the-four-americans-held-hostage-by-iran/

Trump has condemned Iran for their holding of these U.S. citizens hostage.

                  Iran on human rights:

                  http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5734/iran-rape-kurds

Iran as a national security threat:
                  http://freebeacon.com/national-security/clapper-acknowledges-omissions-on-iran-threat/

                  James Clapper, Dir.of National Intelligence:

“The Intelligence Community (IC) ‘continues to assess that Iran and Hezbollah directly threaten the interests of the United States and our allies….This has been the consistent view of the IC for more than three decades.’ ”

Does it still sound like Iran is “not so bad”?

Just because Trump suggests he has no problem with Russia and Iran fighting ISIS in the MIddle East doesn’t mean Iran is “not so bad”. Rather, it means if Iran wants to engage a common enemy over control of a neighboring state such as Syria, then he believes that issue is a regional issue that the U.S. may not necessarily oppose. Perhaps….better to engage ISIS there with those countries’ forces than our forces, with a healthy dose of, “My enemy of my enemy is my friend.” But that doesn’t make that enemy (Iran) “not so bad”, or even a true friend. Indeed, Iran as a state is evil to the core.

And regardless what Trump believes about Russia’s and Iran’s involvement against ISIS, there are long-term implications and risks, particularly in Syria:

                  http://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/thanks-russia-iran-could-lose-control-the-syrian-war-14061

                  http://www.understandingwar.org/report/iranian-strategy-syria

                  http://m.voanews.com/a/saudi-iran-tensions-risk-sinking-syria-peace-efforts/3130678.html

If you actually take time to read these facts as presented by “the media”, you may finally understand that understanding the truth is not as simple as simply believing the opposite of what “the media” (whoever that is) says….and which you have repeatedly stated is the way you are drawing your conclusions about Iran and other issues. It’s not even as simple as believing what Trump says. Believe it or not, like every candidate he says things that are not always reliably correct. That makes him human.

In spite of your objections, Trump is NOT the issue! Truth is the issue. Facts are the issue. How you process the facts, understand them, draw your own conclusions and form your own opinions, then make cogent/wise decisions based on those facts are the issue. Supporting anyone for the office of POTUS doesn’t mean jack squat until you’re able to do that. Because if you don’t know the truth (and it doesn’t hurt if you can actually defend your own opinions and positions), you’ll stand for nothing or fall for anything. And note I haven’t criticized Trump once in any of my posts. I hope you even understand I’m not criticizing you, rather your stated method of how you’re drawing conclusions. I’m trying to encourage you to research and challenge your beliefs. And I trust you will continue to not only search for the truth and critically analyze anything here at TCTH or anywhere else to find the truth. And that includes looking at media you don’t agree with. Challenge your own beliefs and defend them. You can’t learn if you don’t. This forum is not infallible, nor is any other source of information, including me!

                  All the best…

According to Walid Shoebat’s blog, in April, 2015, Iran forbade all Iranians (Shiite) from doing their pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudia Arabia (Sunni). This was in response to a supposed assault on two Iranian boys while in Saudi Arabia. Seems the Shiites want to replace Mecca and Medina (in Saudi Arabia) with Karbala (in Iran) as the place where Shiites would pilgrimage to. There were demonstrations outside the Saudi embassy in Iran in April over it all. So the Saudis just executed a Shitie cleric, the Iranians ransacked the Saudi embassy in response, and Saud has now cut diplomatic ties with Iran. This whole Sunni/Shiite religious war is accelerating and could rapidly spin out of control.
As a Christian, my first instinct is that I don’t have a dog in this fight. However, the problem is we don’t know what secret alliances and assistance pacts any of these countries have, but we DO know that Turkey (Sunni and a NATO country) and Russia (Orthodox Christian) are on the verge and Putin is no Obama pansy. This could all get real ugly real fast, and all over a killing that occurred in 680 AD.
In case anyone wants to read Shoebat’s post from last April. The embedded videos are disturbing:

    http://shoebat.com/2015/04/14/iran-declares-a-war-on-mecca-by-banning-shiites-to-do-pilgrims-to-the-holiest-sites-in-islam/

And in the meantime, it’s almost as if the Obama crew is clearing the way for Shiite Iran to gear up for a nuclear exchange with the Sauds (Sunni) and Israel. I can’t see how anything he has done has done anything other than pour fuel on this smoldering fire.

They may both be Muslim countries but Iran has hated Arabia since the Arabs destroyed what was left of Persian culture and forced Islam on them. I expect that if the first Iranian bomb is for Israel the second is for Riyadh. And ISIS doesn’t like the Saudis either. And this isn’t the first time an insurgent group went against Mecca, the Kaaba used to be full of idols (and still has lingering vestiges of goddess worship) and was temporarily taken over by another Muslim extremist group, the Qarmatians, who used it as a toilet. Nuking Mecca could more likely be done by Muslims than the west.

Not to provoke the Iranian, but the Iranians against UN resolutions should definitely not be allowed to continue to test intermediate range missiles. The solution to this problem is elemental and have nothing to do with additional sanctions. At the very next launch after appropriate warning, a Ticonderoga Aegis class Cruiser should be stationed in the straights of Hormuz and at the very next launch, an SM-3 shall destroy their test missile mid-flight. Solution solved.
