2:00am, December 16th 2015, and yet another 2,000+ page bill emerges from the halls of congressional staff – this one an “Ominibus spending bill” with over $1.5 Trillion in expenditures, almost certain to add yet another thousand billion to the structural deficit.

Republicans control the House and the Senate.

Nothing good ever comes from congress at 2:00am.

omnibus

Obama-Care came from the halls of the Senate at 1:36am on 12/23/09. More trillions, beyond trillions. The Democrats controlled the House and the Senate – we removed them.

For some insufferable reason it appears Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, the Republican leadership, think the U.S. electorate are unaware of the contents of this recent Omnibus spending. We’re not.

We are fully aware the current 2,000+ page bill contains an insurance bailout, “risk corridors”, for the short-comings within the construct of the unsustainable ’09 Obamacare bill. More structural deficit.

We are also fully aware the current 2,000+ page bill contains taxpayer deficit spending to benefit illegal aliens, non-U.S. citizens/residents, who are mostly Mexican nationals. We are aware this bill is essentially using U.S. taxpayer funds to pay foreign nationals from other nations.

This is insanity. This is reckless fiscal policy. This is with Republicans in control of both the House and the Senate. Why?

Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, took to a specific and intended platform last week to condemn the leading candidate for President who proposed we temporarily halt giving visa’s to Muslim immigrants until a process of security can be put into place safeguarding the U.S. from terrorist embeds. This, Paul Ryan called, “not what our country stands for”.

[…]  “This is not conservatism. What was proposed yesterday is not what this party stands for and, more importantly, it’s not what this country stands for.” (link)

And yet today, this same Speaker Ryan is willing to put payments of U.S. taxpayer funds, which will be mostly deficit spending added to the backs of our children and grandchildren, into the hands of foreign nationals and calls this “conservatism”.

Is it really any wonder why the leading U.S. Presidential candidate would be distant from the Republican brand.   Who exactly is “a republican” any longer?  What exactly does “a republican” stand for?

We fully understand republicans’ control the House and Senate.  We also fully understand when constructing budgets, actual budgets, thanks to ‘reconciliation‘ the legislative branch only needs a simple majority in both the House and Senate.  You have that – and yet you chose not to put a budget for fiscal year 2016 on the desk of the President.

You chose the Omnibus spending approach, it was NOT forced upon you.

In so doing you are specifically choosing to spend money, our grand-children’s money, to finance lawful foreign nationals, refugees and illegal aliens; and giving the bill to lawful U.S. residents/citizens.  This is ridiculous.

Just be aware, that we are aware…

…and we are watching !
