You saw the posts where the Russian on state media openly ridicule Obama on print and on TV, calling him Maximka. Leaders like Putin, Erdogan, Xi have a finely tuned nose that sniffs out testosterone in their peers – I’m betting all they get from the POtuS is pumpkin spice latte.
Regardless of how that political eunuch plays it, international politics is a power game and the more sooner we get his limp-wristed self out of that game the safer we’ll be. Anyone out there think that Abu Nabil was shaking in his sandals after Obama’s post-Paris-attack speech? OK, Abu’s been sleeping with the fishes since breakfast but you get the idea.

Putin knows how to play the game – he was a KGB man and knows how to work a mark. Playing 2nd fiddle to Erdogan to make Erdie look good with the other guys is just part of the job – a little deference never hurt anyone and with what they both have to gain, it’s a small personal price to pay.
Obama. on the other hand, doesn’t know how to play the game and it shows – painfully. You have to have had power and knwo how tpo apply it – you think Barry ever kicked some guy’s ass for the guy doin’; the dozens on Barry’s mama?
Putin plays Obama like a cheap fiddle and Obama doesn’t have the skill, knowledge or personal fortitude tyo play back. You think Obama could look Andropov in the eye and move SRBM nukes into Europe as Reagan did?
Barry’s worse than Carter – at least Carter had the ‘suicidal Christian’ route to fall back on, Barr’s a total loss and a detriment to our survival.

Well, you made me feel better. I know O’s whole personal power base is < 0, it just worried me to think Putin was truly subservient to Erdogan. There’s so much out there about Erdogan’s ultimate aim and I think it may be on the mark (no pun originally intended). Just hated to think him and Putin as a close team. Or do you think they are a close team but Erdogan is not top dog?

Germany screwed Erdogan, prevented Turkey from getting into the EU, and Putin was smart/quick enough to score a MAJOR strategic advantage by getting Turkey to crawl into bed with Russia.
Russia and Turkey want to be the BMOC in the Mideast and Turkey’s far more ‘trustable’ than Iran so now Putin has the two most powerful countries in the Mideast in his pocket.
Erdogan’s aware that while Turkey has the largest military in the Mideast Russia’s got better weapons and is ready, willing and able to open the gates wide to arm Turkey. Russia’s also got nuke plants and has held that option out to Turkey. Erdogan knows that he has a key Russian card in the Bosporus and Dardanelles and a whole lotta shoreline on the Black Sea while Russia knows that Turkey wants nuke plants, weapons and the cash that the huge Russian petro system being built by Russia in Turkey,
They both got somethin’ major the other wants/needs and it’s in both of their best interests to just be shower buds.
Biggest problem I see is that teh Russians will be working overtime to find quislings they can co-opt in the Turkish military and government so that if the relationship goes south they can move people around and bring it back to their direction. And all of the players know this. To me it’s a friendlier scorpion riding a more compliant frog.

At least one of the murderers is now known to have gotten into Europe pretending to be a Syrian “refugee”, huh? And yet Obama (and others) want to bring many here… since of course they’ll be “thoroughly vetted”. RIGHT! I’m hearing that Rubio is still saying he might consider bringing some here. Well thanks, Marco… whatever tiny challenge you still presented to Trump just went out the window.

These ISIS scum MUST realize that in a little over a year, they’ll be dealing with President Trump. So I’m worried that they’re gonna try to use the interim to hit us while there’s still an opening. 😦

We were talking about that some weeks ago here, it’s really no surprise. I’m betting that IF they can scrape up enough frothy DNA and IF they can track it they’ll find most, if not all, were innocent, Keane-eyed Syrian spawn.
I’d mentioned the first time the news came out that they couldn’t vet them, it would be impossible. The UN refugee folks would do what they usually do – issue nearly every one some BS refugee documents just as was done for so many Nazi war criminals art the end of WW II. I’ll be checking the co-op up the street for Devil’s Rope (barbed wire for the city types) but it’s selling fast.

The ‘it’s gonna happen here’ theme’s been brought up here before. Just like 911 there’ll be candlelight vigils; notes, pictures and little stuffed animals will be left at memorials; pols will make impassioned speeches that we’ve all heard before while promising ‘never again!’ as they have their assistants make sure their personal security contracts are up to date.
I keep wondering how long people will gather in large public venues before that little tickle of fear in the backs of their minds ebbs. The wimpy little security measures the NFL has its teams take with fans before games, the opera/concert presentations in large theaters, all of those places where unsuspecting and happy people congregate…
This time, unlike 911, the huge apologist apparatus they’ll need to dampen the anti-Moslem rhetoric and feelings will be in place. It will be hard but the spinners know that first and foremost the American public wants to feel secure, even if it’s based on a lie.

Google “Muslims Paris riot” and you’ll see that Paris, and all of France really, had plenty of red flags. It looks like every couple of months there’s some significant Muslim-led mayhem going on. We don’t have that kind of stuff going on here in the US cities except when the BLM crew needs new weaves and gym shoes. It causes me to refer, once again, to the video that shows how increasing percentage of Muslims leads to increasing lawlessness. It starts to get bad around 5% and reaches bad at 10%. France is at 8%, and you know the biggest concentrations are going to be in the biggest cities, Paris and Marseille. And we see the end result. This is what happens when you are “tolerant” and “compassionate”, or really when you are asleep at the wheel or just plain stupid, France is toast, and the other Euro countries are poised to follow if they don’t do something now.

  27. Greetings, Treepers.

In the last 24 hours I’ve read perhaps 60 essays and articles about this latest iteration of Jihad.

Here’s one thing I’ve noticed: Most editorials by so-called “right-wing” pundits contain this combination of sentences, usually within a paragraph of each other:

We need to name the enemy and stop using weasel-words.

    And…

Just say it. We are at war with Radical Extremist Fundamentalist IslamIST Terrorists.

No weasel words, they say, all in perfect harmony. Followed by a bunch of cowardly weasel words.

And those are the right-wing authors. Even the Dread Right Wing has to preface “Islam” with a whole lot of weasel-word adjectives.

The left wing is even worse. They say “I won’t paint Islam with a broad brush”, and then they bring out an EVEN BROADER BRUSH and say, because they are also cowards, “It’s ALL RELIGION that’s the problem.” Little Jimmy punches little Suzy in the face in Kindergarten, and the Left just punishes the whole class, or just the cis-male boys… but not the kid doing the face-punching,

I ended my perusal of Terror topics with Ann Barnhardt. She did not disappoint…

Even Rubio today danced around the elephant in the room while pretending to be Brave.

Marco, the problem is ISLAM. The murders you see are a feature, not a bug.

And even the Right Wing won’t admit that. Barnhardt will.

    That’s because she’s not a coward.

    Liked by 2 people

    • rodney says:

      Spot on.

The problem is ISLAM. The people who commit the murders are just following Koranic injunctions. And those “moderates” they are merely less observant Muslims. When they become truly observant of the Koran they become jihadis or provide support for them. They become like the Muzzie that shot the Naval Reserve center in Chattanooga or the one who knifed those students at the community college.

And when some fatuous, secular Westerner like Cameron, or hack from the Obama administrations says what they are doing isn’t Islam, they are lying. Even Al-Azar in Cairo – the highest center of learning in the Sunni world, will not say what ISIS is doing is un-Islamic.

That’s what it seems like to me. I’m not sure Islam has ANY redeeming qualities (though I’m no scholar on it, by a long shot). It seems to me that it’s like if a Christian relied solely on some of the worst of the Old Testament, and then just stopped there. Fortunately 99.99% of Christians are influenced far more by the New Testament, and the teachings of Jesus than they are the bad stuff in the OT.

On the other hand, I don’t think there’s really any “good” things in Islam to counter the horrendous parts… and so way, way too many Muslims wind up being okay with the bad. Not many actually commit physical atrocities, but a large percentage of them seem to be okay with it. Contrast that to Christians. If some crazy person suddenly said, “Hey, right there in Leviticus it tells us that gays should be killed, so let’s do it!” If that happened, nearly ALL Christians would stand up and shout that idiot down. Muslims, on the other hand…

        Like

        • Actually, if you read the OT carefully, you will see that most of the “bad stuff” is either G-d or a prophet warning the Israelites or Hebrews depending on the time period of the writing, about what WILL happen if they don’t stop doing bad things like worshipping idols or trees.

Other times, He is giving them instructions about what He wants them to do in SPECIFIC situations. Since G-d never apologizes or explains, we don’t always know why he is so mad at the people he is asking the Israelites to punish, but it is a specific situation.

So, don’t feel that you have to apologize for the OT.

I understand that some parts are “warnings”, and there may be some logic in some of them. But that’s not what I’m talking about. There are some parts in there, some of the things God commands his followers to do to others, as well as some things that God supposedly did himself… mmm, mmm, mmm. I don’t think I should get into my opinion of.

HOWEVER, I very much doubt those same people would then turn around and approve of sadistic, inhuman slime like ISIS. Actually, the ISIS things really couldn’t care less about the innocent people who were killed during the Iraq war… in fact, I think they’re overjoyed. ANY death, destruction, suffering is cool as far as they’re concerned.

More civilians were killed by terrorists in Iraq the year we pulled out than during the war. Look at the graphic on this page, we left in 2011 (stopped fighting way before that):
          https://www.iraqbodycount.org/

It is an Islamic lie that we have anything to do with the animals over there. They were doing it before, they did it during, and they are free to do it all day long now.

          It just isn’t true.

            For those who won’t look:
            Iraq body count
Saturday 14 November: 119 killed, or in mass graves.

Sinjar: 100 bodies found in two mass graves in areas liberated from the IS.
            Baghdad: 6 by IEDs, gunfire.
            Wajihiya: 5 by IEDs.
            Tarmiya: 1 by gunfire.
            Muqdadiya: 1 body.
            Al-Zour: 1 by gunfire.
            Madain: 1 by AED.
            Mahmudiya: 1 by IED.
            Mansuriya: 1 body.
            Najaf: 1 body.
            Latifiya: 1 by gunfire.

            Friday 13 November: 51 killed.

Baghdad: 32 by suicide bomber, IEDs and gunfire; 2 bodies.
            Sinjar: 10 executed.
            Baaj: 4 executed.
            Yusufiya: 2 by IED.
            Hibhib: 1 lawyer by gunfire.

They are killing hundreds of thousands of their own people because of their “religion”. I now relieve all Americans of their American Guilt.

We went over there because of the genocide and terrorism and because we were INVITED (Kuwait, remember?).

This is the most widely believed liberal lie, the War-For-Oil nutbags have it wrong. “In 2000, nearly 55 percent of U.S. gross oil imports came from four countries: 15 percent from Canada, 14 percent each from Saudi Arabia and Venezuela, and 12 percent from Mexico.”

We get most of our oil (we also export) from Canada: http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/pet_move_impcus_a2_nus_ep00_im0_mbbl_a.htm

Drive me nuts how many people will spout stuff (not you, jello, in general) without ANY concept of truth or reality.

Oh I know, I agree… hopefully my comment didn’t imply otherwise. These parts of the world NEED a few Saddams, a few Khaddafis and the like. They’re not nice guys, and some innocent people DO die under their reigns… but far, far, FAR fewer than when they’re removed from power, and replaced by a vacuum. On an anger/hatred scale, for the people who have lost loved ones to the war and the ensuing years, I suspect the US would rank FAR lower on that scale than ISIS.

Sorry, didn’t intend that to be directed anywhere near you. 🙂

You’d be surprised how many people, conservatives included, think we killed a bunch of civilians or that we went over there for oil. It’s my political pet peeve. I was just using your post to springboard and get the numbers out there. Numbers don’t lie. I do it IRL, too. I shut people down with a quickness when they start that War-For-Oil ignorance. Same with the US-caused-ISIS-BS. It’s stupidity.

It has ALWAYS been about the Sunni vs, Shia and it still is. They only throw the Christians in there to be @$$holes and give liberals a thrill.

Here’s my thoughts, why can’t western country just take over Iraqi or Syria and manage it for 20-30 years to stabilize it, just like what Britain did with Hong Kong. Another Option is with all the Syrian refugees they can hold a vote to legally invade Syria and take it over to stabilize it. Call it a Civil War with the refugees approval vote.

Polish Minister threw out a idea about using able syrian refugees men to form an army to liberate Syria. That’s all good but do you trust the syrian with weapons fighting along side our troops? A couple of wackos with AK’s can really screw things up.

Drastic time call for drastic measure and it’s certainly better than turning Europe into Muslim country. Middle eastern people will breed like the plague and will eventually vote Europeans out.

We as a free nation would not do such a thing cause it’s not political correct but if it’s an effective plan I bet Trump would do it.

Of course hindsight is 20 20 but I showed this pic to a liberal friend and all I said was I would bet they wish they had Trumo as their leader and this would not have happened, now voting Trump.

As sickening as this photo is, every American needs to see it…and absorb it. But like the video of the Twin Towers coming down, the mainstream media will censor it and others…telling us it won’t allow us to “heal.”

In reality, it should be shown and published in every medium, with the caption added…

My only comments on this crazy stuff any more is there already here and a lot of our cities will become places like Beirut, and will have to be on edge everywhere we go just like the citizens of Israel. It’s what Obama has wanted all along and he is getting his wish, and I have nothing in common with the other half of this country which is being run by bat sh*t crazy liberals. The refugees now being allowed in is nothing more then a Trojan horse, to work with those already here to bring as much death and destruction to this once great country. And all I see people caring about today after what they saw yesterday is a bunch of idiots who want to walk around with candles and talk about their feelings and how bad they feel. Such sadness and shame we have allowed this to happen.

Governor Bentley says Alabama will refuse Syrian refugees

“After full consideration of this weekend’s attacks of terror on innocent citizens in Paris, I will oppose any attempt to relocate Syrian refugees to Alabama through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. As your Governor, I will not stand complicit to a policy that places the citizens of Alabama in harm’s way.”

One down, forty-nine to go. Or is it 56?

Of course, Bentley is a Republican
