patriotIt is odd how people can understand the media fraudulently influencing public opinion regarding racial stories (Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, McKinney Pool Party, Eric Sheppard Jr, et al), yet become willfully blind when those same MSM methods are deployed within current political stories.

If you were to look back through the entire library of The Conservative Treehouse you might note the origin of our association is researching raw information and raw data to understand what the media is not revealing. Then we converse about it.

Finding the truth beyond the headlines is actually the origin of our Tree House association.  Accepting what results from the discovery is why this is The Last Refuge.

Regardless of whether large numbers of people are reading or participating our conversation continues, because understanding the truth behind events is not something to fear.  Regardless of how uncomfortable discovered truth becomes, it is actually quite empowering to accept it.

The days when people needed to passively accept narratives sold by the media is gone. The time when information is exclusively delivered by those who hold a vested interest is long past.  The advent of the internet (as a communication tool) has made almost immediate information available, often from the source of the story itself.

With the ability of any individual to engage in their own research and learning – those who hold a vested interest to keep control over various aspects have less control of the data.  As a consequence they also lose control over public perceptions of their endeavors – good and bad.

From this perspective it is entirely possible to see how powerful media interests are subject to diminishment. As a consequence those same power-interests adapted additional methods of information control – control over the information platform.

Matt Drudge recently discussed this new yet looming reality with Alex Jones. Information agents beyond the Main Stream Media, like Twitter, FaceBook, and social media platforms have developed their own filters to control content much like the editorial board of the New York Times.

Political interests who also rely on control understood the value in synergy/alignment with platform control agents. Hence you see the President of the U.S. in communication with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg.

This modern agenda driven association -within social media- was most recently evident in the fall of 2009 as the political apparatus within the U.S. body politic worked to engage the Facebook data platform during the “Arab spring”.

As a direct consequence those who understand the editorial filtration advocate for staying away from host platforms under the control of those who have a vested interest in the content.  Hence, Matt Drudge saying he will not participate on their platforms because the information activity is not raw, pure or without agenda.

Many CTH readers may note how brutally, and very intentionally, flawed the chosen MSM narrative to the Trayvon Martin shooting was. The same thing occurred again within the Mike Brown shooting; the MSM with a specific narrative to sell, regardless of factual evidence.

However, this pattern of narrative control continues in all things well beyond racial angles to crime and sociology.  Indeed, many other issues are far more consequential, and as such subject to even more control efforts by those who retain a vested interest.

The Conservative Treehouse was formed specifically as a refuge away from these manipulated narratives. Here the real issues, the raw data behind the headlines, could be discovered and discussed without concern for discomfort.

Unfortunately there are those adversely impacted by such sunlight.  Raw information results in a loss of their grip on power and as a consequence diminishes their control. However, if you were to look historically you’ll find that none of the resulting issues are unpredictable.

Back in the fall of 2013 it was the acceptance of political reality that led us to discuss how Mitch McConnell would never reverse any of the White House policies even if the Republicans gained control of the Senate.

It was accepting a political reality two years ago that brought us to share if we didn’t stop going where we’re going we were going to end up getting where we are.

Thirteen months later the Republicans did get control of the Senate; and as predicted none of the White House policies were substantially challenged.

Understanding how U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue, interacted with republican leadership in the course of those 13 months allowed anyone to accept the outcome as predictable.  Perhaps it was too painful to accept, but it did not change the reality.

And now here we are.

So too is the reality of the 2016 presidential primary race and the inherent actions by those with a vested interest.  The actions taken by many of the interests are not unpredictable, many of them are transparent in the extreme….

….However, seeing the transparency does require the observer to carry a willingness to accept a natural discomfort – and not deploy defensive avoidance.

Not this time.
