El RushboRush Limbaugh had an interesting segment on his radio show yesterday.  Mr. Limbaugh is beginning to connect the dots to the origin of the GOPe road map, constructed between October ’13 and April ’14, which we tried to bring attention to prior to the mid-term 2014 primary races.

Limbaugh’s overall analysis is solid, except he’s missing some of the substantive dot connections which stem around what he calls “a seminal event“, Cantor’s defeat.

[…] I think there was a seminal event in the House of Representatives that happened in 201[4] that blew up a lot of plans, and that was Eric Cantor losing.  That shocked everybody, as you recall.  Cantor was a member of the Republican leadership, and Cantor was moving the donor class agenda.  Cantor losing was a huge blow to the leadership’s ties to the donor class.  And as you and I well know, the donor class runs the Republican Party today, not the voters.

The overall substance of what Limbaugh is saying is correct. However, he’s missing some critical aspects and misidentifying “the donor class“.

It is not the “donor class” per se’ as a random group of rich contributors running the Republican party today, it’s specifically Tom Donohue and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – or, put another way, Wall Street interests.

We can prove it:

tom donohueBoehner - Cantor- McCarthy - House-GOP-leaders-

Mr. Tom Donohue, working with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, is the origin of the 2013 construct which created the primary apparatus of 2014 and ultimately led to the creation of the 2016 GOPe road map for Jeb Bush.

It was Donohue and his CoC who met privately with McConnell, Cornyn, Boehner and Cantor between October 2013 and April 2014 to construct the 2014, 2015 legislative priorities of the republican party in congress.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce 2014/15 goals:

      • The full implementation of ObamaCare without adjustment. (link)
      • Comprehensive Immigration Reform – to include Amnesty for illegal aliens. (link)
      • Support for full delivery of Federal Common CORE education standards.  (link)
      • Support for the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal (TPP which led to TPA)

You’ll note all of these legislative priorities are also supported by Paul Ryan; and it was Ryan who pushed the TPA through in the House of Representatives.

Yes, it was specifically, the loss of Eric Cantor in June ’14 which sent a thunder-shock through the GOPe apparatus, and ultimately led to the vitriolic panic evidenced in the Mississippi Senate race (Thad Cochran VS Chris McDaniel).

[…] NRSC Executive Director Rob Collins said in a statement that the committee will “continue to fully support Thad Cochran.” And the heavy-spending U.S. Chamber of Commerce signaled a similar commitment; one of its top political officials, Rob Engstrom, tweeted that the business lobby will “stand by Senator Cochran.” (link)

However, the decision of the party apparatus to work against the best interests of conservative principles was made much earlier than Cantor’s loss.  Cantor’s loss was partially a consequence of those earlier decisions.  Remember:

APRIL 2014 – Dear Majority Leader Cantor:

Conservative leaders were stunned to learn that you will be headlining a conference in Florida this weekend that is, purely and simply, a direct attack on Tea Party conservatives. Worse still, this event is sponsored in part by ultra-liberal financier/activist George Soros and organized labor – both of which have openly, repeatedly – and often viciously – waged war on conservatives and Republicans for years.

What has possessed you to headline this event? Do you think so little of conservatives that you would directly insult them by attending?

Since Mitt Romney’s defeat in the 2012 presidential election a substantial rift has opened between the GOP’s congressional leadership and rank-and-file Republicans, grassroots conservatives and Tea Party supporters – the very activists who provided the energy, enthusiasm and mobilization that fueled the historic Republican victory in 2010 and gave you and your colleagues the House majority you hold today. You would not be Majority Leader today but for Tea Party conservatives. And you’re headlining an event sponsored by a leftist organization committed to its destruction.  (more)

Remember too, Cantor’s wife worked for Tom Donohue and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Going back to the 2013 time-frame again – Again, focus on the tentacles of Tom Donohue and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce upon Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and Cornyn:

[…]  Sixteen months ago, mustering support from tea party activists and Christian conservatives, the attorney general of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli’s,  backers forced a convention, instead of a primary.   This worked around the establishment control and wrestled the nomination away from establishment favorite Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling.

Bolling was the chosen “next-in-line” favorite guy of every Republican party insider.  Upon losing the nomination, Bolling did what all establishment Republicans do when they are defeated, Bolling refused to endorse Cuccinelli.   Joining him were numerous establishment Republican mayors and numerous former Republican legislators.

The GOP establishment machine decided to do what they do best, burn down the house rather than give up the keys upon ideological eviction.

According to the Washington Post reviewFour years ago, McDonnell’s largest single donor other than Republican Party organizations was the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which spent $973,000 on his campaign. This year, the chamber gave Cuccinelli nothing.    (link)

You see, the construct of the larger GOPe plan goes back much further than the loss of Eric Cantor’s seat to David Brat.  Cantor was an outcome of the deception which was pre-planned much much earlier than his June ’14 loss.

So yes, Rush Limbaugh is correct when he says the decision to use Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House was a pre-determined decision much earlier than evidenced.   But what Limbaugh is missing is the origin of when exactly the fork in the road was created.

The decision point, the moment when the GOPe made the decision to use any and all means necessary to defeat their own base, revolves around the moment the legislative priorities of Tom Donohue took precedent, period.

When reading Limbaugh’s diatribe, you must replace “Donor Class” with “The U.S. Chamber of Commerce”, then things will begin to make sense.

Paul Ryan is as much a part of the legislative team who are working to fulfill those CoC objectives as Cantor and Boehner.

That’s why, when Kevin McCarthy withdrew his name on the day of the election, Speaker Boehner immediately cancelled the vote despite there being two other names available for immediate consideration.  The Speaker vote had to be cancelled because the GOPe needed the name of a GOPe participant for consideration who is part of the Donohue plan.

That’s why we are getting Paul Ryan.

Just a Reminder, this is an insurgency. – The modern enemy of Wall Street is Main Street vulgarians. The enemy of the RNC/GOPe is not Democrats, it’s Grassroots Conservatives, more vulgarians.

The Republican Party, and the Republican media apparatus, view us as their enemy. We are the enemy they need to protect themselves from:

In 2014, the RNC approved selection rules that govern how each state’s delegates are portioned out from the primaries. Under one of the changes, states holding their primaries between March 1 and March 14 will have their delegates doled out proportionately with election results, a change that will likely stymie a movement candidate.

States that have primaries on or after March 15 will be winner-take-all states.

That’s important because another RNC rule change requires that a candidate must win a majority of delegates in eight or more states before his or her name may be presented for nomination at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

With 18 GOP presidential candidates, for now, it will be that much harder for any candidate to win a majority in any state, let alone eight. (Article July 2015)

GOP-versus-Tea-PartyNow, ask yourself, why would the RNC want to “stymie a movement candidate“? Who exactly does that benefit? Obviously, the “non-movement” candidate, ie “the turtle“.

Isn’t the entire reason for campaigning in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina etc. to make a movement/momentum?

In addition Rule #40 changed in 2014 from previously five needed state wins, to a newer threshold of eight (8):

Officially, it’s Rule 40 in the RNC handbook and it states that any candidate for president “shall demonstrate the support of a majority of the delegates from each of eight (8) or more states” before their name is presented for nomination at the national convention. (article March 2014)

Again, ask yourself who does this benefit? A candidate can win seven states outright, and still not have their name presented for nomination?

These rules were made/affirmed in 2014 – Who or what exactly was the GOP concerned about blocking in 2016 that would necessitate such rules? When combined with other rule changes you can clearly identify a consolidation of power within the RNC apparatus intentionally constructed to stop the candidate of the GRASSROOTS from achieving victory.

It’s all part of their GOPe Roadmap.
