New Hampshire Straw Poll – Candidate Donald Trump 39%, Ben Carson 19%…

The Rockingham County Republican Committee conducted a straw poll of 585 visitors to their booth at the Deerfield Fair this past weekend:

Despite multiple polling results reflecting a similar outcome the GOPe continue to advance a more favorable narrative toward Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina.  Understanding the objectives of the RNC/GOPe “Splitter Strategy“, the approach makes sense.

Karl RoveThe RNC/GOPe will never give up on the original objective, elect Jeb Bush.  In order to clear the field, the first priority is to remove the threat of Donald Trump.  Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina are the tools they are using to try and deliver this outcome.

If/when this approach succeeds, it then becomes a simple matter to seed the media machine with opposition research that will remove Rubio and Fiorina from consideration.  The planned natural attrition then brings Jeb back into the race.

This is a similar process, carried out by the same people, which aided Mitt Romney to this outcome in 2012.   Unfortunately for the RNC/GOPe, in this election cycle, the vast majority of the electorate is well aware of the formula.

I think Jeb will be dropping the Rubio opposition research sooner rather than later.

Speaking of Rubio here’s a lovely tweet (sarcasm) from one of his loyal bots:

Dr. Carson is speaking the direct truth about islam, jihad and sharia beyond what any other presidential candidate has ever even approached in the fourteen years since 9/11.

Hopefully Carson’s courage and outspoken intellectual clarity on this existential issue will force Trump to grow from his Garland reaction mistake of advocating Americans constrain themselves from free speech in compliance with sharia law.

The Garland thing annoyed me big time. But you have to understand it from the President’s point of view. Advocating being respectful of all religions is a very good thing to do politically. Even though we all know how we feel about it personally.

She made a statement about a political organization masquerading as a religion………..with a cartoon contest. Trump has his opinion on such matters but for many of us his opinion is not ours. True respect is earned, in this instance thru non-violent co-existence.. Islam has earned ‘respect’ thru fear, just like gangs .

Trump’s response to her actions was that he thought Pamela Geller was taunting Muslim people – which she was. She was making a point about first amendment rights but the way she went about it was looking for an extreme reaction. January 2015, 12 people killed in Paris over the same themed cartoons? So let’s do that too??? People were endangered not only right there but in the town. I lost respect for her and her group. She said they were protesting media censorship but it wasn’t a media hornet’s nest she shoved a stick into.

Shari’a law is not wanted in this country but I didn’t see Shari’a law components drawn in these “cartoons”. Maybe some pictures of women being stoned and people’s hands cut off might have made a better impact.

BTW, I missed Ben Carson’s courageous intellectually clear answers/statements regarding this Pam Geller event. Could you find a source to share them? Not that you shared a source for your Trump insinuations … people might make up their own minds instead of paying attention to your words then, I suppose.

Actually, have you seen the winning cartoon? I think you’d like it. The winner was Bosch Fawstin (whose earlier work Pigman was featured at Breitbart). The cartoon showed an angry but rather handsome Mohammed declaring, “You can’t draw me!”. The artist’s hand, holding a pen, was visible in the picture, accompanied by a speech balloon coming in from off the screen saying, “That’s why I have to draw you.”

Carson’s comments about islam were on the campaign trail last month, not in response to the Garland event earlier this summer.

Here is the interview with the print media where Carson raises the taqiyya islamic deception issue as a follow up to his prior TV statement opposing the concept of a muslim US President:

                  http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/254330-carson-doubles-down-on-no-muslims-in-the-white-house

Here is Geller’s insight as to how groundbreakingly important these remarks are coming from a presidential candidate:

                  http://pamelageller.com/2015/09/ben-carson-fires-back-schools-media-on-islam-sharia-and-taqiya.html/

Here’s the world’s most articulate honest expert on islam, Robert Spencer, gives detailed technical insight on the issue:

                  http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/09/washington-posts-fact-checker-quotes-dishonest-islamic-apologists-taqiyya-to-prove-ben-carson-wrong-about-taqiyya

The agent of islam who is our current US President said “The future can not belong to those who slander the prophet of islam.” By saying that he was expressing a tenet of islamic law which forbids criticism of islam or muhammad even if true. That’s sharia. You can see how much more likely it is that the cult will grow and take hold here if people don’t speak the truth about it. Sharia also forbids drawing or creating an image of muhammad. The Garland event was an exercise of 1st Amendment rights intentionally violating sharia because Americans have been lulled into sharia compliance out of a desire to avoid precipitating violent reaction as you describe. That’s suicidal for our culture because, as Robert Spencer must often repeat, giving in to violent intimidation only engenders more violent intimidation.

Making The Sign of The Cross is a capital offense in Saudi Arabia. That’s sharia, too. Forsaking the Divinity of the Redeemer Jesus is a basic sharia requirement.

Trump is a businessman. Business men who are successful on his level are aggressive, shrewd, deceptive and cunning and do it all day long and don’t bat an eye or lose a wink of sleep.

It’s all LEGAL. Trump isn’t a politician he doesn’t live or die by making people feel good or being nice.

He lives or dies by working the system to make a buck. Times 10 Billion. And, just like ALL OTHER BUSINESS MEN who are successful at his level.

He is succeeding at politics right now because a) he is apparently good at what he does, whatever it is – and b) the people see how well it goes when you put a bunch of politicians and lawyers in charge.

    http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/ne…/posts?page=22

“From time to time, someone invents an excellent wheel. Once invented, it’s hard to better the product, and so instead of a ’wheel’ invented by me, I offer one by a Freeper named M1911A1.

With all credit for writing this going to M1911A1, here is your answer:

At this point, I’d hardly care if in 2014 Trump had come out in support of almost any liberal cause.

The republic is dying. The libs are killing it, but guess who helps them? That’s right, the “conservatives” of the GOP!

You want to despise Trump for a former stance on abortion, when, as a private citizen, he could do little about it except write checks to politicians. I’m wagering it wasn’t a hot button donor issue for a guy focused on his empire.

Well how ‘bout that “conservative” Mitch McConnell, a man who could actually do something about it…it’s his job to do something about it, he was given power to do something about it. He did something today, he declared it was “futility” to defund Planned Parenthood, and this is only the latest in a long, long, and shameful list of outrages that have been either condoned or conducted by him and the other GOPe oligarchs.

You may dislike Trump, but remember that Mitch hates you if you are conservative, as do his masters, the big donors to Super Pacs. They only care about staying in power and growing government, and they trot out a conservative dog and pony show every once in a while to keep us yokels in line.

They have been busy changing the rules to make sure they are there forever, and if they lose to a Democrat, it’s no big deal, because they ultimately don’t differ all that much on the big issues.

Trump may strike you as too liberal, a braggart, a phony, or refreshing. It doesn’t matter. Supporting anybody else at this point is asking for the entrenched uniparty to keep abusing you. Trump is the only way out of this abusive relationship that is going to put your freedom in the grave.

After he upsets that applecart, we can start looking for someone better, but if we say no thanks to Trump the GOPe will figure out ways to make sure that no more challenges like his are ever mounted.

There are no guarantees that Trump is the real deal, or that even if he is that he can fix the crooked system, but if he doesn’t get that chance it is guaranteed that the crooked system will fix it so us annoying voters are even more irrelevant than we are now.

Trump has awoken them to the fact that even us dullards will only take so much, and once Trump exposes them, if they defeat Trump they won’t even have to put on the dog and pony show anymore.”

It mandates murder or enslavement of all who refuse to join the cult of islam which requires renouncement of the Divinity of Jesus. Then he raised the mandatory islamic practice called taquiyya which requires muslims to lie and deceive in order to impose sharia law.

TonyFromBrooklyn, I respect your obvious anger on the issue, but please allow me to offer a few points:

Fox News and the RNC are definitely “anti-Trump”; that’s obvious. They’re despicable, yes. They’re diabolical, scheming jerks who have forgotten the meaning of the phrase, “…consent of the governed.”

The RNC seeks totalitarian rule over the party. Listen to their Talking Heads: To them, we–a large bloc of their own voter base–are “vulgarians” to be swatted aside, and Trump is a “bloviating ignoramus” (per George Will, who purports to be a learned, erudite ‘deep thinker’). Too bad for Will; his vitriol has exposed him as “nothing but a party hack”.

For its part, Fox News has exposed itself as The Mouthpiece of the RNC. Henceforth, everything they say must be filtered through that prism–they have damaged their own credibility until such time as their leadership steps down in shame, and they renounce their one-sided activism. On that score there can be no doubt.

If you’ve spent any time on this website, you know that Sundance has gone to great lengths to describe the RNC’s election strategy, which is to split the vote among many “also-ran” candidates. The goal is to install Jeb Bush as the eventual nominee (knowing that Bush is so UN-popular that he can’t pull it off on his own without sleight-of-hand).

The RNC created this strategy BEFORE Donald Trump joined the fray. If not for Trump, the RNC and Karl Rove would be well on their way to installing Bush–it would have worked like a charm.

But instead, Trump is in the process of beating the RNC at their own rigged game. The honchos of the GOPe must be pulling their hair out. They have committed all its forces and is throwing the “everything including the kitchen sink” at Trump. But still Trump gains.

As for Carson & Cruz: There have been many visible “signals” that Trump, Carson, and Cruz share an un-publicized bond of sorts. Trump overtly said he would “definitely” consider Carson for a spot in the Trump administration–and rightly so. I’ll leave it to Trump to determine where Carson would fit in best–as VP? We could do much worse than that. Or, if Trump has someone else in mind to share the masthead, can you imagine a better candidate for Secretary of Health and Human Resources? Or, failing that, Surgeon General?

Similarly, Cruz could be the VP choice, or head up the Justice Dept, or fit in as Attorney General. Cruz would also make a great Justice on the Supreme Court–but I see a “Borking” in the making if he is nominated. But as time and events flow in this election cycle, it doesn’t look like Cruz has a realistic shot of gaining enough traction as a presidential candidate. He’s young; there will be other elections.

Carson and Cruz are each good in their own way, but in my view, each are limited by experience and other factors. Trump has his own rough spots to be sure–but the poll numbers bear out that none of them are “show stoppers”. Large swaths of voters know and accept Trump for who and what he is. (That’s just got to be driving the GOPe nuts.)

In the end analysis, on this particular battlefield, at this particular time in history, there is only one candidate that offers pretty much the total package–the brains, the guts, and the executive/leadership experience to stand up to the UniParty and bring them down. And that man is Donald Trump.

As for your final point: The real National Socialist Party of Germany was completely evil. They were genocidal murderers on a massive, mind-boggling scale. As for me, I will reserve use of that term to other genocidal/maniacal regimes bent on murder and world domination on a similar scale.

      • i think US foreign policy of the past 2 decades pretty much sums up the definition of genocidal murder. and our abortion mills and big pharma too. besides the obvious ISIS and N.Korea and other Middle Eastern regimes, i don’t think we need to look much further for a perfect example murder of innocents on a mind-boggling scale.
this is why i like Trump, he doesn’t use murder and war as an “economic policy.” and until USA repents of our murderous ways we won’t get America back on course. WE NEED DONALD TRUMP IN SO MANY WAYS! and stopping our war mongering and world policing is imperative.

Carson went rogue with his muslim comments. To the MSM that’s like waving garlic in a vampires face. So, they’ve moved on to ‘America’s Greatest Liar’ contestant, Ms. Fibalotta. They’ve also got Rubio on ice just in case this one doesn’t work out either.

Jeb! is hiding in the closet and he’s absolutely not coming out until this whole thing is over and he’s elected President of Mexico.

      That’s what I heard.

    Hi All..

I had to take a few days off just to DETOX from all this MSM crap about Trump trending downward. My blood pressure was rising too much so I told the Mrs. that I was turning off the TV and laying off the laptop. HA!

I tweeted Trump and his team and told him to knock off the discussing the narrative about “what would it take for you to drop out”. I wish he would have smacked Snagglelopopus and Chuckie Todd with a LOSER tag for implying such.

Sundance has reported how many polls within the past five days are reporting strong upward movement in the high 20’s to mid 30’s support for the Donald. I keep going to Real Clear Politics and note that they don’t report these poll numbers but they report on the bogus IBD poll. They are so biased and tweeted Dan over at the Trump team and suggested he should get on their case.

With this TPP trade deal coming to the forefront, it would behoove Trump to jump on this narrative and nail the “Rube” for his support of this deal. Expose the corruption of Congress and the Big money boys. This deal hurts Middle America, the Unions and small business. Trump wins when he talks about “negotiating GOOD deals”, so he needs to expose the fraud and injustice of this deal.

Finally, I loved the “Little Rube” Instagram showing how Donald as a grown up is needed to handle the problems and “little Rube” should go “have some cookies and milk and get ready for nappy time”. Classic Trump!

Rick – I honestly believe Trump and his closest staff read tweets and emails to gauge sentiment and make adjustments to talking points. I’ll bet they follow this site too. You’re right about Trump feeding Todd and Boy-George an angle about polls that they and their fellow knee-pad wearers are twisting into a narrative about “falling polls”. But on the other hand, Trump may have tossed them that bone knowing full well what would happen. Their narrative is the short-term downside. The longer term upside is potentially two-fold.

One – Trump doesn’t fall in the polls, he rises steadily and emphatically.
Two – There goes the credibility of Todd and Boy-George, and their ilk.

Viola – a new fact to throw back at them and the GOPe. And the throw back can be done in an effective, memorable mocking manner.

also other news online that show Trump is right: http://www.rt.com and http://www.EUtimes.net (EU right wing news covers USA). both are touting some good things about Trump and show us his foreign policy is spot on.

Okay, this may sound a bit off the cuff, but consider the words that Mr. Trump used, in essence, he said If I drop too far in the pols, then I would go back to my business. I thought about this and immediately I was inspired to fight even stronger than before to make sure he did not drop in the pols so that he would be the nominee and then president.

      Just my thoughts.

I have a little bit of a different take on the point of Trump leaving the race if his poll numbers drop. I think that he was taking a swipe at the cellar dwellers who know that they don’t have a chance, but who doggedly stay in the race doing the job that they were assigned by the GOP-e/RNC. Trump clearly stated that he is not a masochist and wouldn’t waste his time and effort for nothing.

And he gets the added benefit of being able to turn this around on the MSM and point out that those questions should be asked of the single-digit pollees, not the frontrunner.

both are such neocons and clueless. that may have worked last election but not going to this time. each one is locked into their clueless foreign policy and being on FOX will just make that solidify so there will be no backing out of it when USA media catches up to the facts, which is slowly but surely now coming out. i say keep on letting these two hang themselves.

I believe this is an outlier poll. 377 respondents, with a 5 pt margin of error, not exactly a Pew or Zogby poll. Though, it does kind of prove the race is tightening, no doubt about that.

      • Sundance said this IBD poll is an AGENDA POLL and I believe him. Sundance has been right so far! Let’s not worry about it. It’s not even included in the national average for the criteria they use for debates so that tells us it is not a credible poll, even IF they are including it on REAL POLITICS. the debate folks don’t use IBD in their averages so we shouldn’t either.

The problem with lying to the American people with blatantly dishonest polling is that at some point you will be obliged to show a poll (maybe even by Fox) showing Trump on 25% (or better) and having to explain how he surged by 8 points.

In the case of Melly kegyn I suspect this is the last GOP poll she will ever use.

I think they are trying their best to find polls that lower Trump’s number because he said if his numbers tanked he would quit. That is their focus to highlight his “falling” numbers so his support goes down. He meant if his numbers were consistently at 1%… They are so obvious in their attacks. And push that poll over and over again, for all it’s worth.

(Even though 3 or 4 other polls have come out since to prove this poll is an outlier.)

IBD = hedge fund guys = guys who are not very happy that Trump called them out = not very likely to vote for Trump now, since they have been called out = a teeny, tiny minority of the voting base = not a very reliable poll. And therefore, PERFECT or Megyn’s needs.
