Morning Consult has updated their latest national polling results utilizing 1,543 registered voters Sept 24th – Sept 27th.  Consult has, over time, shown to be one of the few consistently accurate polling organizations when compared to regional and state level polls of similar scope.  MC also, over time, has reflected the overall social media sentiment with accuracy.
The latest poll shows Donald Trump maintaining 30% electorate support with Ben Carson coming in second at 15%.  If this were Jeb Bush maintaining 30% (over two months) the GOPe would be demanding that all other candidates coalesce and give Jeb their immediate loyal support.  Alas, because this is not “their guy” the establishment continue to fight to tear Trump down:

The overall plan to elevate GOPe Carly Fiorina and GOPe Marco Rubio continues via extraordinary efforts in the media to push the establishment players to the top of the field.  However, while some of the electorate have been swayed by the propaganda, there’s good news – The polled support showing visible traction is not enough to accomplish the task.

Given the scope of the GOPe efforts to push Fiorina and Rubio, via 24/7 advocacy on MSM and particularly Fox News, the polling overall shows the electorate is aware of the scheme and manipulation.  Everyone knows, from the experience in 2012, that right behind the Fiorina/Rubio plow is the real candidate they are working for, Jeb Bush.
Ben Carson remains the favorite of the religious voter, the evangelical base, who vote almost exclusively based on social issues and social concerns; whereas Trump is pulling in the moderate and independent leaning voter.  This is a critical difference because it shows how Trump can easily win the general election with a much more broad base of support.

This broad base of support is also the threat which the Wall Street team, funding the GOPe efforts, consider the greatest risk to their retention of power.
The overall objectives of “Operation Hummingbird” appear to have ‘moderate’ success.  With Fiorina and Rubio having some gains in the polls, it saves Jeb from an all out abandonment by Wall Street.  In return this is saving Hillary from a similar fate.
Wall Street is precariously hanging on to the hope that Trump can be destroyed by the GOPe apparatus.  Some damage has indeed been done, but not enough to stop the overall plan – Donald Trump is proving to be much more difficult to remove than any prior candidate Karl Rove has destroyed.
With Trump holding tough, and the assault continuing, Joe Biden’s entry remains in a holding pattern.  CNN has stated Biden can enter their Democrat debate on October 13th with merely a public announcement/indication of his intention to run for office.  This affords the GOPe with additional time to prop up Jeb and continue the fight against Trump.
The Opposition Research available on both Carly Fiorina (more here) and Marco Rubio is so devastating, it will be no problem for Team Rove to use their traditional maneuvers to take out either in favor of Bush when/if the time comes.
A person closely watching the race will take note that Team Rove/GOPe have done nothing to attack Ben Carson.  Transparently this ‘hands-off’ approach is an effort to utilize Carson as a tool to weaken the primary opponent Donald Trump.
