      Easy. Russkies are unbeatable.

if you sum up the figures on the screen, the final result is going to be 146%. That is the support level of Putin (as all of the parties are pro-Putin one way or another). 146%, mr. Mage.

As many as they can fit into the pre-paid voter fraud express with a 3-piece box of chicken

But then they wouldn’t exactly boast about it on CNN or anything similar (FotA/Basic cable)….Which is exactly what Rossiya-24 is (in Soviet Russia, that is).

Russia’s Rostovskaya oblast’ is about the same size, both in terms of area and population, as the US state of Louisiana. The “146%” meme is really old news, so, let’s go back in time a bit and pretend the equivalent of Russia-24 News which would be something like pre-2006 CNN Sunday Night. So…. just imagine… @6:00PM on a Sunday, CNN went live nationwide to report progress of some important federal-level vote and said 146% of Louisiana’s voters voted in support of the dear leader’s party/decision/candidate. Thank G-d this is not (yet?) America. It’s a long way to Tipperary, though.

I can remember after Katrina where various government/private groups paid to have New Orleans voters bussed back from Texas, Georgia, wherever to vote and then back again. Local government crowed about the great turnout – with a straight face too – and even though the building the voter records were in was flooded managed to salvage the registrations and approve every one. DA lot like the old CCCP but with the difference that out food’s much more edible and the Russians probably speak better English.

I copy you…. but then you see — there’s the difference. In United Soviet Socialist States of America, one willing to fraudulently influence elections has to do much of energy spending, if you will — pay money or goodies of some kind to fraud voters, hire buses, drive people around and so on. In Soviet Korea or Putinist Russia, none of that is required. A few strokes on the keyboard is really all there is. The process is supposed to be automated. The election statistics are what a special government agency says they are, and some times, when they do “corrections” of real-time arriving data — things like the above happen. Prior to 146%, there were 104% turnouts (probably old-school carousel with buses driving “voters” around), but then 2011 (I believe it was) Russian parliament elections set the record as above. Vorsprung durch Technik is not only a German Capitalist thing (and an Audi car-making motto) , it is a commie/KGB thing as well.

JBTW, the incident, in the very best of the Soviet traditions, was declared to be a provocation by American spies:

Thank G-d we are not anywhere nearby. But then go figure how far away it really is.
