Maryland Governor Larry Hogan Will Not Cover For Failure of Liberal Baltimore Mayor – Two Video Pressers…

As Baltimore Burns the media begins the blame game. Last night pressing the Maryland Governor on why it took so long for the Maryland National Guard to be activated Governor Larry Hogan cuts right to the chase: “Within 30 seconds of receiving the call, I activated the National Guard”.

The delay stems from Baltimore Mayor Rawlings-Blake refusing to ask for assistance, and refusing to return phone calls from the Governors office. Start watching the video at 09:00 to see delivery:

Governor Hogan is a Republican, Mayor Rawlings is a far-left liberal Democrat.

After Governor Hogan arrived in Baltimore, CNN pundit Don Lemon tried to pin the blame on him in an effort to protect the more liberal Mayor Rawlings from her own ineptitude. Again Governor Hogan was having none of it.

The liberal bias dripping from Don Lemon is ridiculous.

FOX just reported that gang leaders have been invited to a meeting in City Hall to help keep the ferals in line. Why has it become acceptable for cities to employ CRIMINALS to assist with problems in black communities?

    15 buildings burned.

    Over 140 cars burned.

15 officers (I think that number is low) hurt.

    Over 200 arrests.

She looks wasted dazed and confused. She should be in jail for willful negligence to protect the public from crime and destruction. She is all that’s wrong with this country. Coddling criminals and supporting the instigators like Nation of Islam and black panthers Malik Shabzz and all the so called reverends and imams in that city. She is beyond her pay grade now.

Another (black?) man shot by LE, this time in Detroit. The article implies the victim(?!) is black, but doesn’t outright say it.
    Look out, Detroit.
This thing is spreading further as the days tick by…

    Point 6 talking points:

“Children are being born into abject poverty”

“We need to give those kids opportunities”

    “Pipelines from schools to prisons”

“If we really wanted to solve the problem blah blah CVS blah spine snapped blahbitty blah”

No Mr. President, if we really want to solve the problem, then we need to be proactive (not reactive) and roll the situation back to your first talking point… stop the cycle of children being born into abject poverty. Because it’s not a school to prison pipeline, it’s a womb to prison pipeline.

      #1 problem: deadbeat parents.

I always think about the people who come to the US from countries with very serious political and economic problems. They come here with almost nothing, and yet within a generation they are thriving and their kids are attending college. We all know that doesn’t happen by sitting on a stoop waiting for your EBT card to reload.

It’s not poverty, but morality and poor parenting/role models, dysfunctional homes and bad values that are the cause of the violence and crime problem starting when black children are young.

Addicted, sin-sick, entitlement and criminal minded parents can’t/won’t work – and – they aren’t good candidates for employment. They can’t be good role models for their children.
Many of the teachers are not good role models either.

as I posted before : “I am for doing good to the poor, but…I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed…that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

Hows that Hope and Change working. Black presidient, attorney general, police chief, majority black police deptartment, and entire city government of Baltimore. Where’s the excuse why they are treated so bad! The city and country are run by blacks and it is still everyones fault, but theres? Are the police supposed to only arrest whites and blacks get a free pass. If the black person while being arrested fight the police supposed do they just let them go. Don’t commit crimes and the police will leave you a lone. Why don’t the citizens stop these teenagers. The police were told to stand down by the Mayor! Where are these parents, they are liable for the damage. I hope Baltimore gets zero federal help in re-building they need to learn a lesson. That mayor gave a green light to destroy the city so those residents can pay for it since their elective official supports it!

Amwick….Fox was interviewing the Rev. Hickman who was the builder of that senior citizen center which burned to the ground. It had been his dream to accomplish since 2004. They interviewed him and several other blacks who live in the area. All of them seemed so upset over what was happening to their area of Baltimore. One lady was crying because she worked at the CVS that was burned and she, of course, no longer has a job. She was appealing to the protestors to stop the violence and stop tearing up their town and so were the others who were being interviewed. Those interviews brought tears to my eyes. I feel so bad for the good blacks of Baltimore and don’t believe they have contributed to this problem. Anyway, there is a human side to this story that I had not encountered until today. Gives me a whole different perspective.

I feel for the good blacks of Baltimore and luckily they were BOTH in a telephone booth and out of harm’s way.

        • pspsst says:

I believe up around 85 to 89 % of voting black americans willingly voted for Barack Obama the second time around knowing full well he was a fraud destroying the same America they lived in, and not enough was done by the others to dissuade voter fraud. I can’t cry tears for them now. Black americans never thought they would see destruction to their own habitats because Obama is half their kind. Unfortunately for them, Barack self-identifies with muslims, trying to straighten his hair to look middle eastern rather than black for example. He cares a lot about his adopted muslim brothers but little about his black brothers.

          • Dixie says:

True that. Unfortunately their penchant towards defending anybody of their color regardless of what they do, will never be changed. In other words, they can’t see the character. They only see the color. You can’t fix stupid. But that doesn’t change what I felt or what those people felt at that one moment in time.

Where did all this dust in my office come from? It’s really hard to see at the moment.

This woman, this is why criminal behavior must not be coddled or ignored. Lives are at stake and the left is “giving them space”?!?

Now, she needs to blame the black rioters and not blame the police or the “system” or slavery or whatever. Every black mature adult interviewed by Fox last night justified the rioting. It was extremely disappointing. And Obama did it today, can’t get worse than that.

…the one guy they interviewed who had been throwing stuff at the police officers all night was shocked that the police started firing bean bag rounds to get them to stop

He exemplified the problem the mayor created with her ‘room to destroy’ presser… these folks thought they had explicit permission to do whatever they wanted to (even to the point of injuring police officers) without fear of repercussions or consequences.

Mark my words, those people who have been arrested will use the mayor’s comments in their defense at trial.

      • pspsst says:

She needs to blame Barack Obama, Valerie Jarret and Eric Holder. The rioters are just idiots being used like the low IQ they are. Blame the leaders first, not the followers. The index forefinger should point DIRECTLY AT OBAMA. He blames poverty, lol. Was poverty missing in the years before he came to power? What causes poverty, Mr. Smarty Pants Commander in Chief??? Lack of economy and jobs. What did you promise, Barack? Jobs. Don’t let Barack point away from himself and his leadership. Bring it back to him. Don’t let him distract from it. Make it stick this time, ya’ll !!

  13. lovely says:

    Well there you go!

There are a few of us here who have suggested that a Mayor Richard J. Daley approach to the rioters, (Shoot to kill those who will attack police officers and/or innocent civilians) have just picked the wrong Daley.

It seems the new thought proclaimed in the MSM and espoused by POTUS is that the approach of Mayor Richard M Daley would solve the problems of violent black youths. Come in and bulldoze some land (see Meigs Field ) build a park, problem solved.

    No parks no peace.

  14. lovely says:

Anyone else notice Obama said “Burned *a building down’?*

Nope buildings, plural as in 14 buildings.

Obama must not have watched TMZ before he prepared his “6” talking points 😦

  15. punkinseed says:

If I lived in Baltimore I’d start demanding the mayor’s resignation. She clearly puts her political BS ahead of anyone or anything. On top of that, she’s stupid and you can’t fix stupid. What if this was an ISIS attack on the city? She can’t cope with this, let alone something bigger.

  16. stringplayer55 says:

The liberal pattern of passing the blame and excusing the thugs for their actions was established long ago. It is captured perfectly in the song “Gee Officer Krupke” from West Side Story. You would think we would have learned a thing or two since then, but it seems that the excuse justifications are more entrenched than ever.

It is interactive and just wow, in a bad way…

Even that goofball, Shep Smith, was questioning where the governor was while the mayor did nothing. He did the right thing and stayed out until his help was requested. God forbid some thieving rioter get hit by a cop or national reserve trooper.

  20. Jett Black says:

The similarity to Ray Nagin’s and Kathleen Blanco’s responses to Hurricane Katrina and their (both Demonrats) utter failures to take appropriate action and to request resources offered by the Bush administration sends chills up my spine. Demonrats and media did the same thing there, too–blamed Bush and barely even questioned Nagin or Blanco. Locally we knew the story then and I hope B’more is not completely duped and deluded, so they’ll hold the mayor and those in goobermint who allowed this situation to develop and spin out of control accountable.

Gee, I’m confused…did the Maryland Governor declare a state of emergency? I think he needs to repeat that one more time.

  22. Millwright says:

Jett Black hit it smack on ! The similarities to Big Easy’s executive’s actions during Katrina are eerie ! Governor Hogan – like GWB – had his ducks lined up early on waiting for the mayor to “throw the switch”, empowering him. Earlier reports had his office repeatedly calling the mayor and getting no response. I’d opine Madam Mayor (a Democrat) didn’t want the Governor ( a Republican) to pull her chestnuts out of the fire. IOW, it seems politics takes precedence over public safety in Baltimore these days.

Can we give the Africans back to the muslim slavers who sold them to us? It’s just not working out. Just like the African tribes who begged the muslims to please take their criminals off their hands, can we not now beg the muslims to please take them back. The muslims are still in the business. I’ve heard China is buying. As rich as we were, we need to downsize. Africans are just too expensive.
