About Patriot Dreamer

“When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion – when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing – when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors – when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you – when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice – you may know that your society is doomed.” ~Ayn Rand *************************************************** In the battle between good intentions vs. unintended consequences….UC always win. ~Sharon

    Does it matter? They do…
From the dead migratory birds to the low frequency noise pollution to the fact that many of the areas would be better served with hi-efficiency solar arrays (part of the ‘hi-efficiency design is keeping the government experts’ ^&%$#*^ fingers out). You look at the initial cost of one wind turbine versus the cost of 4-junction solar cells were the turbine money to be pumped into their bulk manufacture and how these solar arrays could be built into houses…
Maybe if we could find a way to burn government bureaucrats instead of coal – it would be a win-win and they do seem to be a renewable (unfortunately) resource.

    Are windmills supposed to suck?

No, they are supposed to grind grain into four.

Wind powered low lift water pumps have their applications too.

Wind powered generators, not so practical.
