Congressional Probe Launched Into White House and State Dept. Interference With Israeli Election…

At the end of January the first reports surfaced of a coordinated effort between the White House and State Department to use the construct of OFA (Organizing For America), the activist group who spearheaded the voter activity for President Obama, to assist an Israeli opposition group known as V15.

V15 is described as a “grassroots” movement intended to remove Benjamin Netanyahu from office.   The national field director from President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, Jeremy Birdwent to Israel to assist V15 in the mirror image campaign strategy and message of OFA

MIDEAST-ISRAEL-US-NETANYAHU-OBAMAJohn Kerry and Isaac Herzog

OFA was/is the Astroturf political movement funded by Large Democrat Donors and Left-Wing Organizations which helped elect President Barack Obama.

The U.S. State Department gave money to V15 for use in Israel.  V15 is supporting Netanyahu’s opponent, Isaac Herzog.   V15 is saying they are not using the money from the State Dept, delivered via OneVoice, to eliminate Netanyahu, but rather just to help their GOTV organizational efforts.

However, simultaneous to Jeremy Bird joining the V15 movement, Joe Biden and John Kerry met with Isaac Herzog in Germany.  It is brutally obvious Joe Biden and John Kerry, along with the White House and State Department, are trying to remove Benjamin Netanyahu.   Now a congressional probe has been launched.

(Via Fox) A powerful U.S. Senate investigatory committee has launched a bipartisan probe into an American nonprofit’s funding of efforts to oust Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the Obama administration’s State Department gave the nonprofit taxpayer-funded grants, a source with knowledge of the panel’s activities told FoxNews.com.

The fact that both Democrat and Republican sides of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations have signed off on the probe could be seen as a rebuke to President Obama, who has had a well-documented adversarial relationship with the Israeli leader.

The development comes as Netanyahu told Israel’s Channel Two television station this week that there were “governments” that wanted to help with the “Just Not Bibi” campaigning – Bibi being the Israeli leader’s nickname.

It also follows a FoxNews.com report on claims the Obama administration has been meddling in the Israeli election on behalf of groups hostile to Netanyahu. A spokesperson for Sen. Rob Portman, (R-Ohio), the chair of the committee, refused comment, and aides to ranking Democrat Sen. Claire McCaskill, of Missouri, did not immediately return calls.  (read more)

well, IIRC, he says he “trusts” him to make “a good deal.”
which, of course, sounds idiotic as compared to Netanyahu’s assessments of the “deal”.
even if (G-d Forbid) Likud should lose the majority of seats, I think Netanyahu could still remain PM.
Its a completely different process from what we have here.
a lot of negotiations between various parties, to form a new gov’t, and if a coalition (that word again !) can be formed between right wing parties, Netanyahu could remain PM, regardless of the majority of seats won in Knesset (by Zionist Union/Herzog).
someone plse correct me if I’m wrong w/ that.
but what the Chicago syndicate et al are doing there is a violation of (their precious self-righteous) protocol, at the very least….but its no surprise.
      its all getting Prophetic, imo.
the degree of constant intrigue and deceit running rampant.
Israel does have a history of socialist influence.
Godspeed to Bibi Netanyahu and his supporters.

With Iran hellbent on acquiring nukes to wipe them off the planet, no way will they vote for Obama’s surrogate. No Way!!!!

It seems impossible, and I devoutly hope you’re right. There always has been a strong socialist movement in Israel, but I hope the Israeli people are smart enough to recognize what Obama is and to see through and reject his diabolical plots against them. If not, they’ll pay with their lives, and so will we.

You said ….” This isn’t simply politics in Israel, it’s their very survival”…

Yes, and that “survival” is, in actuality, what Obama is trying to remove.

Remember, every single person in the Obama administration believes in the principle that Israel is an “occupying force”. The political ideologues, and the academic ideologues who indoctrinated the politicos, want the Jews removed because they view the U.S. support for Israel as the bane of all U.S. foreign policy.

President Obama wants to assist elevation of a regime in Israel which will ultimately bring about their own demise. This is fundamentally part of his strategy.

Liberals in a large and very specific sense HATE Israel. They want the Jewish people who willingly enter the cattle cars to be back in charge of the electorate Jews again so the herding can begin anew.

I hope it is starting to become abundantly clear that we, as a nation, shouldn’t be interfering with the politics of other nations to this or nearly any other degree. The arguments will be made, predictably, that this is no different than the stuff done in administrations prior.

To establish and to maintain a more clear, obvious, delineated and universal moral principle for the US to follow, noninterventionalism is just a better policy. There can’t and shouldn’t be any “it’s okay for us but not them because we’re right and they are wrong.” That’s far too obvious and too problematic.

In prior commentaries, I have been anti-Israel. After learning more, my views on that have shifted considerably. However, I still believe we should not directly interfere with politics of other countries. Is Israel a nation we can trust with nuclear weapons? Yes. We know this because they have them and will not use them and have demonstrated the characteristics of first-world civilized maturity of leadership to warrant that trust — the Islamic nations, not so much.

I see the present interference as an attempt to destabilize a stabilizing force in the middle east and this further destabilization is a threat to the entire civilized world. It can’t stand.

State does things on its own that even sitting presidents don’t know about until they get an ‘Oh Sh*t’ memo, and then State sends over a salve specialist who explains away the incident complete with ways the sitting POTUS can make lemonade out of it. Main problem is we need experts and patriots in State and what we got is a lot of elitist university lemon squeezers. I don’t get invited to too many State functions.
