Sarah Palin Shames Hillary Clinton Into Press Conference To Explain Email Issues…

In less than an hour Sarah Palin achieved something the rest of the punditry and media class were unable to do.

palin hillary

Pay attention to the time.

At 3:42pm Eastern time Sarah Palin tweeted her shot at Hillary Clinton:

Those who follow political discourse could immediately hear the sound of the speed dial clamoring amid Media Matters and Team Hillary.

And within an hour the following report from CNN via MediaIte:

And The Hill

“Hillary Clinton will likely hold a press conference over the next few days to address the controversy over her use of private email accounts while secretary of State, according to reports.

Bloomberg cited a “source close to Clinton” who said she will speak to reporters to push back at criticism over her use of private accounts for official business”….

The Bloomberg report was sent out at 4:21pm

[…] Two sources close to Clinton said Monday that the former secretary of state will likely hold a press conference in an effort to push back on a week of speculation about why she used the private account instead of one hosted by the State Department. It would also present an opportunity for Clinton to defend her family foundation’s acceptance of contributions from foreign donors during and after her time at State.

A press conference addressing perceived secrecy and potential ethical lapses isn’t what Clinton wants to be doing in mid-March, and she and some of her close advisers had hoped to put off answering questions about her e-mail account until she formally launches her campaign, almost certainly in April.

But their desire to ride out the storm was overtaken by a sense that their initial attempt to let some air out of the controversy—via a tweet conveying Clinton’s request for the State Department to release her e-mails—hadn’t done enough to ease the tension. (link)

Well played Mrs. Palin, well played.  Even after all these years, you are still living rent free in their heads.

She’s like one of those old, dried up apple-head dolls, only not a doll, but a harpie and what’s in that head is worse than rotten–it’s an aggressive, anti-American, anti-freedom, lawless virus. And that stone-age necklace just contributes to the “old and wore out as dirt” impression.

    • Seriously, what do her looks have to do with anything? I wish people would stop using this tactic against women in politics. While men do occasionally get insulted on their looks (Obamas’s ears for example), for the most part women are vilified for their looks so much more than men.

Surely there are more than enough bad choices, policies, actions, lies by Clinton that her looks are irrelevant.

Her jewelry has nothing to do with the evidence of lawlessness and fecklessness. People of good character can wear any kind of jewelry they want as far as I’m concerned. People of bad character can dress with great expense and it won’t help. Can we please not waste energy on her personal appearance. It isn’t relevant. If she was a size 8 and had delicate features she would be just as dangerous.

I often wonder what she needed during her formative years that may have been lacking. From what I understand she comes from a somewhat conservative and traditional family and yet she has, for all practical appearances, repudiated that upbringing.

Is it true that the 6 billion dollar budget accounting shortfall (embezzlement) for the State Department during the tenure of Hillary Clinton has now been accounted for as a series of “Jamaican Lottery Scam” winnings to third world countries agreeing to in return in part some of their “winnings” as a finders fee / “donation” made to the Clinton charitable foundation?

The Prius charging stations for the embassy in Vienna cost more than a security detail for Benghazi would have. As does the State Department indigenous art program and probably Hillary’s liquor bill.

I am certain they announced this only after ensuring they could place an interview with a sympathetic reporter that won’t ask any tough questions or challenge anything she says. Oprah, perhaps? Or MHP?

How nice Hilary deigns to answer some questions in person. Of course, the QUESTIONS will likely be as carefully scripted as her answers.
Megan Kelly said tonight that Hilary is already blaming the controversy on a right wing conspiracy—the same way she did over the reporting of her husband’s affairs. Deja vu.

Clinton trying to get Ted Kennedy’s endorsement for Hillary, and they had Clinton talking to Ted Kennedy. They quote Clinton as saying: (paraphrasing) “You know, Ted, a few years ago this guy would be getting us coffee.”

In the New Yorker, Ryan Lizza reports that the late Tim Russert told him of a similar comment by Clinton. According to Ryan Lizza, via Tim Russert, Clinton said to Ted Kennedy: “You know, Ted, a few years ago this guy would have been carrying our bags.” And Clinton’s impression of Obama hasn’t improved since 2008. Last year he told a bunch of friends, and this is in Ed Klein’s book, The Amateur, Clinton told a bunch of friends: (summary via Clinton impression) You know this guy, Obama, he doesn’t even know how to be president. He doesn’t know how the world works. How could he? He’s been too busy fetching my coffee, carrying my bags.

I cannot help but try to use some hypothetical math on this Hilliary email thing…..Now she says there were some 50,000 pages of emails in her four years as SOS….and if an email consists of say one paragraph of say 30 words each, then that is 1.5 MILLION words produced in Emails by Hilliary in her communications….now at 30 words a minute typing speed, quite fast for a cell phone, that is 500,000 minutes of typing, or almost 10,000 hours of typing over 4 years, or 2500 hours per year, which is typing solid for 8 hours each day for 300 days, which is most every day for the entire year excluding her vacation and a few weekends. Somehow, I do not believe that this has any credibility, and Harf says it would take millions of dollars to review these emails, and somehow I understand the electronic data of the emails was not turned over, just the printed pages…..I think this is a pile of steaming Clinton horse hocky.
