Thursday Open Thread – December 18th

Tomb of the Unknown ChristmasOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

When Obama died, George Washington met him at the Pearly Gates. He slapped him across the face and yelled, “How dare you try to destroy the Nation I helped conceive?”
Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose and shouted, “You wanted to end our liberties but you failed.”
James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said, “This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense!”
Thomas Jefferson was next, beat Obama with a long cane and snarled, “It was evil men like you who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence.”
The beatings and thrashings continued as James Monroe and 66 other early Americans unleashed their anger on the radical, socialist, leader.
As Obama lay bleeding and in pain, Allah appeared. Obama wept and said, “This is not what you promised me.”
Allah replied, “I told you there would be 72 VIRGINIANS waiting for you in Heaven. What did you think I said? You really need to listen when someone is trying to tell you something!”

    Sherif David Clarke continues to fight the good fight ;

December 15, 2014 – Sheriff Clarke released a public service announcement in support of law enforcement officers. To listen, CLICK HERE. Text below.

Our law enforcement officers are under attack and need your help. This is Sheriff David Clarke. Opportunistic politicians in high profile positions are bending over backwards trying to score some cheap political points. Aided by cop-hating anarchists, they are slandering your communities’ finest. Are we perfect? Far from it; but our communities would collapse into chaos without us. Most people get that. The next time you see an officer, stop them and thank them for their service. They need that…Can I count on you?

We did that in NYC recently when we were surrounded by the PantsUp March. We made a point of walking up to all the cops escorting the march and telling them, “We’re so sorry you have to deal with this. Thank you for your service. We support you”.

This professional agitator class is a hyper minority within a minority. Our silence lets them continue to advance the meme that their beliefs are universal and widely accepted. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Putin is saying that within two years that Obama will be able to finish off the US Dollar. That way Russia will be in the Catbird Seat. I can’t disagree. Obama is completely flexible. His Cuba move is predictible too. His last mission is to destroy the Dollar. So far his is well along that path.

      Don’t give anybody any ideas.

In my opinion it isn’t about personality. The truth can speak for itself. What would be the reason to make it about one person? For notoriety or personal aggrandizement?

Sundance isn’t Charles C. Johnson – or Sabo, for that matter.

Do you mean that you are shocked that Sabo revealed his face?

If so, the answer is “no” – I am not surprised much less shocked that Sabo revealed his face.

Sabo is a very talented guy who uses that talent to bait the Hollywood and political ‘dogs’, but it has been pretty clear (via his FB posts etc) that he really enjoys the accolades from his followers. He would naturally seek out the spotlight, eventually – he’s that kind of guy. He loves the praise, but can’t tolerate criticism, either. Just my opinion.

OK, may I reiterate what I said the other day (off topic in another thread)–namely that George Zimmerman was referred to in two MSM reports as a “security guard”. PS Natalie Jackson has blocked me from her Twitter accounrt. Anybody else??

    • Sharon says:

Back in the day, we were so over-run by GZ-minutiae in all threads that the subject was permanently banned from the open thread as well. Personally I have absolutely no curiosity about who is talking about George Zimmerman or to NatJack or what they are saying.

Treepers – I think the Darren Wilson v Mike Brown case might need more attention.

Once again – the media are trying to rewrite history.

This time – they are now trying to frame Witness #40 – the racist witness who made up being there that day – as Darren Wilson’s Key & Star witness. She has also since been identified as a white woman with mental health issues.

This is despite the fact that – the public have already been informed that her story was dismissed by the Grand Jury & the fact that the physical evidence still pointed to Wilson’s story having been accurate.

I’ve been following this. It’s annoying! Of course, they disregard all of the witnesses (Black) that corroborate DW’s story. They don’t understand that the way you determine who is telling the truth is to let them tell their story. Overlay their testimony with physical evidence and look for the holes. Thats why it’s easy to see who is credible and who isn’t.

This is the best summation of Witness #40’s role in this case. Of course, it couldn’t have been written without the fine folks here…

    One more.

Think on this one, regarding the comment sections of websites such as this.

    • taqiyyologist says:

Is it possible that some of our commentators here are bots? It is.

Can they show empathy? Nope. That’s the Turing test-breaker.

    • taqiyyologist says:

“Today, bots account for 56 percent of all of website visits, says Marc Gaffan, CEO of Incapsula, a company that sells online security services. Incapsula recently an an analysis of 20,000 websites to get a snapshot of part of the web, and on smaller websites, it found that bot traffic can run as high as 80 percent.”

Man, oh man. Then you add Anonymous into the mix.

I remember seeing the nascent, near embryonic Anon trolling Christian chat rooms on Yahoo Chat. They would go in and (laughing with their friends) act like poor lost souls in need of prayer, and completely take over the chat for hours, while the gullible, trusting Christian dupes in the room (Christian Chat 23, for instance) would totally empathize with these trolls, who were just doing it for kicks, and to derail actual Christian discussion.

These people did some bad, bad crap back in the day. They would call an old guy’s hotel room, and torture him to the point where he was convinced he had to tunnel through the wall using a broken chair leg. Just for laughs. They called it Social Engineering, and turned the “prank call” into a Lulz-inducing artform, just to be evil and laugh about how evil they were being. Anon has some phreaky origins.

It’s good to see them championing (no recent-news pun intended) something good and constructive lately. Because back in they day it was nothing good.

But what about the apparent prepper mentality of U.S. government officials now awaiting bids on a solicitation they recently made for “emergency preparedness” survival kits for banks?

Thank you so much, Col. Unfortunately, IMPD found Steven in his apartment about 30 minutes ago. Apparently, he committed suicide. Unfortunately, our daughter was the one who called the police and had to tell his parents the sad news. They are very close friends who moved out of state but Steven stayed here. He was supposed to spend Thanksgiving with us but begged off due to work. He quit his job 2 weeks ago & stopped answering his phone a couple days ago.

While we’re devastated by his choice for both him & his parents, we do understand that a highly functioning autistic person might feel hopeless in today’s society. Please keep Steven and his family in your prayers. Please God be with us at this time.
