jessica chambers 8PANOLA CO, MS (WMC) – DNA evidence could be the key to solving the murder case of a 19-year-old Panola County teenager. Jessica Chamber was discovered Saturday night next to her burning car, burned all over her body.
Her father, Ben Chambers, said “It’s real frustrating. It’s so hard the unknown is what’s so hard. Everybody is working so hard.”
Jessica Chambers was last seen on store surveillance video when she went to a convenience store near her Courtland home. The clerk, Ali Fadhel, said he was surprised she bought so much gas and joked with her. He said Chambers usually purchased $3 or $4.
“Like, wow, why you spending $14 in gas,'” said Fadhel.
He says Chambers told him she was going somewhere, but that he did not know where she was going. Fadhel also says Jessica never mentioned any problems to him and he says she probably would have.
Her father believes suspects in the case should have evidence on them. Chambered noted, “Jessica was a fighter. Whoever it was they’re going to have some marks. Jessica is the kind of girl, she ain’t going to lay down and let somebody do that to her.” (video with store clerk and father at link)
