Just like clockwork, (and right on schedule!), social media was exploited to leverage the cash shakedown which is the raison d’être of the Crump con. As in the Martin case, multiple and conflicting fundraising accounts have been quickly set up, all allegedly for the “benefit” of the Brown family:
As in the Martin case – Crump seeks to retain all control of any cash that flows from this “event”. The information posted on the GoFundMe site set up by someone claiming to be a member of Crump’s law firm staff states, “These funds will assist his family with costs that they will acquire…” (such as, paying us and our entourage!)
The site claims to have raised (as of the writing of this post), $72, 163 by 3,125 donors in 4 days. A quick survey shows that the math doesn’t add up, but it is important to show wide-spread support for the “cause” of “seeking justice” for Mike Brown. However, much to the anger of the “Just-Us” crowd, this doesn’t even come close to the amounts that were raised, literally, overnight, by the Support Zimmerman sites. Similar funding sites to support the family of Officer Wilson have also been set up, but the true purposes behind the GoFundMe sites are as disparate as the versions of the actual events that have been disseminated by the Crump and the PD.
The same template Crump & Co used in the Martin shakedown is being played out exactly in the Brown “cause” – right down to the same pathetic grammar and spelling errors employed by Crump’s woefully English language challenged entourage.
The sad tale begins thusly:
“Michael Brown was an 18 year old that was killed by a Ferguson Police Officer on Saturday, August 9th. His family is now seeking justice for Michael’s death. Their pursuit for justice will be lengthy and hard but with the support of the community they will get justice. If you are willing to support Michael’s family please donate to Michael Brown’s Memorial Fund. These funds will assist his family with costs that they will acquire as they seek justice on Michael’s behalf. All funds will be given to the Michael Brown family. We appreciate your support.
4. How the funds will be spent? The funds collected here will be used by the Brown family to cover funeral and burial expenses, travel and living expenses of the parents as they seek justice for their son, Michael Brown, Jr.
Looks like Crump & Co are heading out for another worldwide trashcan tour!

Strangely, the exact same thing happened in the Martin case after Crump & Co arrived and took control of the cash flow and cash management. Nobody needs to be horning in on the butter for the Crumpster’s bread. Hmmm…
