Obama/Bloomberg To Use Thad Cochran Re-election Leverage To Push Their Gun Control Efforts?…

thad cochran - chris mcdanielMISSISSIPPI – President Obama has not taken long to signal just how Thad Cochran will repay the debt for the quarter million dollar campaign donation from anti-gun Michael Bloomberg. A renewed push for gun control is on the horizon, and Obama is expecting great things from Bloomberg and his new anti-gun group. Now that he has a senior statesman in his hip pocket they expect to have greater success in their effort to push measures like background checks.

Obama’s attempts at gun control were defeated in 2013,

“Since legislation has been controversial for some time, I thought that this was going to be a breakthrough moment, [the Sandy Hook Shooting]” Obama said. “It was probably the most disappointing moment I had in dealing with Congress.”

Bloomberg is not stupid nor do I expect he is willing to waste his money. The donation to Cochran did not come because Bloomberg thought Cochran was a great guy.

The Michael Bloomberg-financed Every Town for Gun Safety has a stated goal of being able to financially challenge the NRA. Thad Cochran will be expected to assist in their objective, we just don’t know how. But it’s safe to say it will not be by standing strong for the Second Amendment.  (read more)

While I now understand what a snake Thad is, I am befuddled how anything out of Mississippi could ever be pro gun control. It would be like Texas instituting magazine size limits. I’ll wait and see what gives, I’m sure it will sicken me when it happens.

They’re not. (Or at least not generally so). But, as the dirty ads in this runoff proved, a great number of them certainly “pro-EBT” and/or see themselves as highly dependent on federal expenditures, which makes them a wonderful base to exploit. By the time they realize what they’ve done, their (OUR) 2A rights will only be a memory. THAT is the problem that arises from voting on a single issue, such as Thad’s alleged reputation as a “provider” of (what they see as) tasty federal “bacon”..

The Bill of rights does not grant anything, it just recognizes pre-existing, inalienable rights. Any infringement upon any of the Bill of Rights means that it was just a “List of suggestions”.
Like “right red returning” and F=MA, all else derives. To violate these pre-existing rights is to seek out the consequences of the Law of Unintended Consequences. Not sure how that will work out, but it is not likely to be pleasant. I would hope that sense prevails and we do not go down that path as a nation.

Perhaps I should have added phrases such as: “for all intents and purposes” and “(u)nalienable rights as enumerated in the Bill of Rights, and specifically in the 2nd Amendment”

If these cretins are allowed to persist, they will most certainly manufacture regulations or statutes that conflict with intent of the Bill of Rights. For example, we’ve already seen arguments that claim the “Right to keep and bear arms” does not specify where those arms may be kept, or borne, leaving these ParseTongued liars with the opportunity to falsely claim that the ,intent of the 2nd Amendment has been met if citizens are allowed to keep and bare arms, but only in their own homes or on their own property.

Ditto for their attempts to “reinterpret” or “redefine” the meanings of words like “assault rifle” or “high capacity magazines” to the point where they will have the ability to specify the caliber, firing rate and magazine capacity of whatever weapons they deem the average citizen is entitled to possess. Eventually the following warning could be packed with every “acceptable firearm”:

“Congratulations, Comrade! Your recent purchase of the federally approved, single shot, single magazine capacity, .00017 caliber snub-nosed derringer satisfies your 2nd Amendment right to ‘Keep and Bear Arms’. But, please remember to refrain from modifying the pump-action gas propellant system, or from disabling the mandatory device that limits your direction of fire to anything other than directly overhead, or you might exceed the maximum allowable range of 2 linear feet from your initial GPS location”

But, hey, our (u)nalienable rights remain intact, right?

Interesting thing about that taste federal bacon. I read a news story that stated the Mississippi receives the greatest return of federal money than any other state, but (Get This) they are the POOREST state.

So those Mississippi voters just voted to stay last. Go figure.

It’s no surprise that Cochran would be expected to work for gun control in Mississippi. Bloomberg also donated a considerable amount of money to fight the Colorado Recall Elections that were centered around gun control. This one man is trying to buy the 2nd Amendment rights of the entire country, one state at a time.

What’s his ultimate goal? A disarmed America for “General BetrayUs” to crush under his globalist boot?
