All this time I thought that the purpose of a “political correspondent” was to ask piercing and insightful questions in order to arrive at the truth but, with the delivery of a 5 year old who still believes in Santa Claus, Candy Crowley “tees up” meatball after meatball for this guy to knock out of the park. If she were a pitcher in any league that kept stats, she would have an ERA approaching infinity.

I have always abhorred the term ‘shyster lawyer’. However, this is the sleaziest, doubling talking, back-biting one I have seen in many years. If I ever need to lie my way through life, he’d be my best bet!

  3. TrickleUpPolitics says:

As a former prosecutor, it makes me sick when I see another lawyer misrepresenting the law to others. He knows damned well that the purpose of the 5th Amendment is to shield one from criminal prosecution, NOT to shield one from being bullied or vilified (as he put it). But I have to admire one thing, if you want Americans to give the guy a pass, get a liar who looks and sounds like an old Santa Claus.

what do I think about this? I think Candy needs despirately to take all her future meals at a Michelle Obama inspired public school cafeteria, and that Lois’s Lawyer would have done much better for Him to take the 5th and let Lois just go out and tell the truth to Issa.

also,,,,I love to listen to lawyers, judges, and politicians talk about and explain IT issues as though they had a CLUE about what they are bloviating about….would be like me explaining just how the process of removing a malignant brain tumor works best without anesthesia. .

According to body language experts, licking you lips during questioning indicates that the speaker is lying or dislikes the question. This guy does it the whole interview.

how ‘candy’ ?? crawling still has this job is a study in self loathing ..

What I have not seen or read yet is any bad publicity raining down on the private electronic archive company that provided backup for the IRS. Start hammering that firm and they will either have to admit tgheir system is crap, or deny the data is lost.

Sonasoft’s services were terminated. It would be interesting to see what they have to say about the IRS’s IT department, but I feel fairly certain any IRS records that Sonasoft kept were turned over to the IRS when the contract ended. Hence, no way to determine if any of Lerner’s E-mails were ever retained by Sonasoft.

      • twolaine says:

Sonasoft only had a contract w/the IRS Genl Counsel’s office, about 3k people total.
The timing of the cancellation of the contract is still questionable.
And, there very well could have been emails from and to Lois in their backups.

        • LetJusticePrevail" says:

It’s my guess that Lerner’s e-mail account wasn’t included in those 3k, but I could be wrong about that. Odd, that no one thought to ask this question when the Committee discussed Sonasoft with the IRS official as he was grilled, eh?

But, it IS distinctly possible that she had e-mails to/from other people among the 3k that would have shed some light for this committee. But, I still suggest that Sonasoft would not have been allowed to retain any of the IRS e-mails once their contract was terminated. And this could be exactly WHY their contract was terminated.

Now, here’s a question for Sonasoft: Once IRS e-mails were in your possession, did people at the IRS still have access to them? IE Could they search and read through the e-mails without your knowledge. OR would it have been necessary for IRS people to contact you and obtain your assistance in browsing through the e-mails you stored for them? What was the protocol? Did you receive any requests for access to IRS emails from the time period in question? If so, from whom? IRS, FBI, DoJ? Who?

          • twolaine says:

They actually did ask the question over and over, several times, several people. Got the same canned explanation, every time, and kept asking. One back-up contract, for one department only. The IRS Counsel’s office, about 3k total. The owner of the company and anyone who spoke on their behalf has said the same thing, over and over.

We KNOW she communicated with the IRS Counsel. Where are those back-ups?

            Doesn’t matter.
IRS is NOW ON DEADLINE!!! 🙂

  10. twolaine says:

    She’s being bullied and vilified?
What about the groups she targeted, bullied & vilified?
I have NO Sympathy for either of them.
    She’s a crook, he’s a crook, and their arguments are a Crock!
Is anyone else getting the feeling that they purposely held this info till right before the elections, exactly so they could all try and spin it as a ridiculous “election ploy”?

  11. twolaine says:

Why didn’t she ask him what Lois’ msn.com home email address was, and why she was using one at work for business (Lois Home), breaking & obstructing FOIA, as well as not following the IRS Guidelines for disposal and tracking of assets, etc…

Why didn’t she ask for Lois’ BB phone number, carrier, & BB ID. That would help us with the investigation!
