Bumped and sticky as the election results come in.
However, some alarming news first – This is pathetic. CNN is reporting that establishment Republicans have been pushing Democrats to vote for Cochran today in order to defeat the Tea Party….
…. And sure enough, CNN’s Dana Bash interviewed several Democrats who have voted today for Thad Cochran:

Update #3 With 90% of votes in the Dem participation looks to be an issue:

With 20% of precincts reporting It looks like the Establishment GOP has been successful in using Democrats to retain their grasp on power.   Some minority area polling locations reflecting large turnout with 90% support for McConnell’s chosen Decepticon Thad Cochran.

(MISSISSIPPI Via Politico) A specter is haunting Tuesday’s Senate primary in Mississippi and many other midterm races around the country: BRAC.
The intraparty showdown between the Magnolia State’s long-serving Republican Sen. Thad Cochran and his tea party challenger, Chris McDaniel, not only pits the old guard against the new and the Republican establishment against the tea party. It has also become the latest test zone for the politics of the base realignment and closure process.
Cochran is betting BRAC can help turn his stature in the Senate as a longtime appropriator into an advantage.  (read more)
