BASH AWAY – White House Gives “Green Light” To Red State Democrat Senators To Openly Bash Obamacare – However, Permission Includes Deal To “Back Off” Any Legislative Change….

The “Vulnerables” (pictured below) have been given the green light to yell, scream, ridicule, gnash teeth, disparage and belittle President Obama, HHS, The White House and Obamacare.   Free reign on the optics, BUT ONLY THE OPTICS.

They are free to do/say anything to save themselves in order to make “appearances” better for them in the face of their constituents.  However, they are not allowed to structurally do anything which might change the law itself.

WASHINGTON DC – Democratic senators facing voters next year are willing to give the White House time to resolve the glaring problems with Obamacare.

Very little time.

Red State Democrats - The Vulnerables

At the pleading of senior White House officials, Senate Democrats are holding off on demands to delay major aspects of the health care law until the Obama administration has the opportunity to fix the website problems that are thwarting enrollment in the program.

Democratic senators facing reelection have a green light to bash the White House and call for certain legislative fixes. But they’ve been urged by senior administration officials not to insist on delaying the controversial law’s core: The mandate for individuals to purchase insurance coverage or face penalties.

Their requests are being heeded — for now.

Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), who attended a tense two-hour meeting with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday over the issue, stressed that senators should give the administration just “a little bit” of breathing room.  (read more)

They will be toast in 2014, nothing is gonna help those misguided idjiots get out of the jam because they all supported law to begin with.
    Carma is a biyoch.

    • Stormy says:

I wish I was convinced that the United States would still be allowing citizens to vote in 2014…

We are only one executive action away from martial law.

      • drkate says:

More like guaranteed voter fraud. All of these dems–except Baucus who is not running again–will be ‘voted’ back in by election vote fraud.

More and more lies forced down the American people’s throat, just so the liberal constituents will vote to keep these senators in office. We need major pushback exposing the lenghts Obama is willing to and is going to to get people signed on to Obamacare. Obama realizes now that the table has turned and people want this aboloshed. His pride indeed is preceeding his evenutual fall.

    Let us see:
The Republicans said that “Obama care” would not work, and that 1) It would cost more, for almost all of us, 2) It would impose un-necessary costs to all of us, 3) Obama PROMISED we could keep our current low-cost insurance (he lied), and 4) But we can not change the law, to restore a person’s right to insurance, because Obama says so. I think (hope) these people are “toast”. ALL the Republicans voted against this travesty of law. Obama screwed 2,000,000 people out of their insurance, with no place to go.

    • justfactsplz says:

Don’t forget the republicans who voted for cloture.

    • myopiafree says:

There will be NO RELIEF, for the 2,000,000 screwed out of the excellent insurance. The people have NO sympathy or pity on anyone. I doubt that I would EVER vote for a Democrat – ever again.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has no plans to put legislation on the floor to delay any of the Obamacare deadlines, putting him in line with the White House. But it’s unclear how long Reid can hold off if the administration continues to stumble and pressure grows within his ranks to act in order to protect his fragile Senate majority.

One senior Senate Democratic aide predicted that no action on the law would be taken before the end of the year but added that all bets are off if the problems extend into 2014.

“If we can’t pivot off this by the new year, then we’re in trouble,” the senior aide acknowledged.
“Pivot off”?? How about granting the 2,000,000 the relief they need – for a change?

    • It will be much more than 2 Million when its all said and done. We’re going to see many, many people who have insurance through their employers getting cancellations notices next year, also. The Administration keeps going on and on about how it’s ONLY people in the individual insurance market, 5% of the population (as if that makes it okay) who are losing coverage, blah, blah, blah knowing full well that millions more will lose coverage when the business mandates kick in next year. They delayed them for a year for a REASON and that reason is the upcoming mid-terms. They did not want the fallout of millions more losing insurance heading into critical mid-terms where they may lose the Senate.

Additionally, I keep hearing these talking heads and politicians saying how much better the insurance on the exchange will be and how much less expensive the policies are. I don’t hear any of them saying how much higher the deductibles are nor do I hear anyone bringing that up. It’s simple economics – you can’t offer unlimited anything for less money. Period. You just can’t. The business will cave in on itself quickly. I keep wondering which people these talking heads are referring to who are losing their insurance and will find it cheaper on the exchange. Most of the people who are already buying insurance on the individual market will not qualify for subsidies. These are not the people who are barely scraping by. Private insurance is very expensive compared to employer provided insurance which requires a contribution by the employee. It isn’t too bad if you’re young and single and in good health, but it gets very expensive as you reach your mid-30’s and up. If these people DO qualify for some subsidy (it certainly won’t be the max) and can get a “better” (that’s questionable, also) policy for the same or less because of the subsidies, we’re talking about the second lowest silver plan and those have very high deductibles. Ergo, in the end, it’s not cheaper. If people cannot afford the full price of the policy they also can’t afford the $550.00 per month (divided over 12 months) deductible. That’s only common sense. If they cannot afford the deductible, then the insurance policy is useless and not worth the paper it is printed on.

And there you have the reasons for the stockpiling of ammunition by various federal agencies and the beefing up in domestic “enforcement” agencies. They have planned for the eventual pitchforks when the numbers grow to one third of the US population having cancelled policies and forced participation. My heart aches for my country.

      • yankeeintx says:

They have mentioned that the uninsured were using emergency rooms they couldn’t afford, so we were absorbing the costs. What is going to happen when someone gets their “free” mammogram, and there is a shady spot? How are they going to be able to afford their deductible for treatment/biopsy? They are just shifting the debt from emergency rooms to the Dr’s offices. How are hospitals and doctors going to handle patients that can’t afford their deductibles? People are being mislead, thinking they are buying health care, when they are only buying health insurance.
Things are going to get much worse. As you mentioned, just wait until the employer mandate kicks in. Everything about this law is a nightmare.

Given that virtually nobody has signed up for Zero Care (other than Medicaid) and millions have lost their insurance, me thinks the backlash is only just beginning.

Sounds a little like the RINO battle cry: Roar like a lion, vote like a Dem sheep.

  6. In other words, they will act like RINOs.

  7. czarowniczy says:

Al Franken – is there anything else to say about Democratic senators? A miserable grade-C ‘comic’ turned bad-joke senator. What possessed Minnestota to vote him in? Was it a particuilarly cold voting day and a ‘simple’ majority got brain freeze? You can still see the leash and collar marks on Franken’s neck.

  8. AdukeLAXobserver says:

Legislation from rats that doesn’t fix anything in 3,2,1…

  9. Talk about “sunshine law”, this headline practically defines it by example. For all the good it will do… meaning NOT, because it’s all just part of the game.

  10. myopiafree says:

Virtually every statement by Obama – was a “hidden” lie, designed to push very-expensive “insurance” on people who did not want to LOSE the insurance they choose. Even the “projection” that this would “cost less” and “costs will come down” – was a lie, including “affordable”. Virtually all the 12,000,000 are going to see their costs increase by 30 to 100 percent. But Obama keeps on repeating the false-belief, that you just have to “log on”, and you will “… get better insurance at a much lower cost”. The lies of the “super sales man” continue.

These Senators, will no have to “explain away” Obama’s lies, to a very angry 12,000,000 – in each state.

’m gonna tell you guys….i was born in the former USSR, by the Grace of God was able to do almost all of my growing up here in the USA (mostly in central VA with summers in DC), but i strongly believe that my birth heritage is burned into my genes…..and as I just told a deluded jokester on TWT I can smell propaganda and Komitet-apparatchik maneuvering from a mile away. This STINKS SO BAD i can’t even say, but had the feeling days ago that the emperor was maneuvering just this way. Either that or plotting his next Alinsky tactic. Either way it’s just plain scary because it just may work.

This is my favorite quote this week, one of my “heroes of yesterday” that i so wish we could clone by the millions today…..

“After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and FASHIONED HIM AT WILL, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.”
    Alexis de Toqueville

“We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.”
    Ayn Rand.

  12. myopiafree says:

The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.
    Alexis de Tocqueville
I believe we have reached this, “tipping point”, where huge moneys will be spent, to satisfy a small vocal minority. When repeated lies will be the basis for new, and repressive laws. Obama is the man who is doing it.
