OCALA, Fla., September 19, 2013 — The Conservative Tree House, a political blog which detailedly reported on the Trayvon Martin shooting’s aftermath, is now due to receive documents specified in a Freedom of Information Act Request.
These documents pertain to how the office of Florida State Attorney Angela Corey and her team handled the prosecution of George Zimmerman. Last week, The Jacksonville Times-Union revealed that Corey is under state investigation for allegedly illegal actions in firing her office’s information technology director, Ben Kruidbos. Under FL Statute Chapter 119 Records Request [TCTH is] seeking the business office records from the 4th District SAO for a period of time from July 1st, 2012, to November 30th 2012. Specifically:
– All travel and expenses incurred during the time period outlined which flow through the SAO business office in regard to all ongoing criminal investigation; Office staff, witness, and other.
– Those would include, individual documents pertaining to ALL:
- *Travel and travel expense reimbursement
- *Hotel accommodations and/or lodging
- *Meal vouchers and/or reimbursement requests
- *Airline travel purchase records (with flight schedules)
- *Car rental purchase records (detail)
- *Mileage and Toll reimbursements
To include each specific instance, not summaries, which would document/identify specific individual(s) who made the purchase request(s), specific individual(s) who approved the purchase request(s), and ultimately disposition documentation showing what specific activity took place around the individual instances of each expense incurred surrounding all ongoing criminal prosecutions and investigations which were associated with the Jacksonville SAO. [Again during the 7/1/12 to 11/30/12 timeframe].
The 4th District SAO has finalized completion of the request, all records have been compiled, and they have sent the final invoice for payment prior to delivery. We are working now to identify the logistics of the request fulfillment, identifying size (number of pages or boxes which might affect reception decision) and we anticipate reception within the next week.
