President Obama: “I’m Not Driven By Some Ideological Agenda”…

Obama meet the pressWASHINGTON DC – President Obama turned up on NBC’s “Meet the Press” for the first time since the passage of ObamaCare, and gave exactly the performance that every veteran Obama-watcher would have expected: a bitter, intransigent partisan claiming to be the only non-partisan, non-ideological participant in the “fiscal cliff” drama. “I’m not driven by some ideological agenda – I’m a pretty practical guy,” he explicitly stated, offering his past four years in office as evidence.

It’s too bad “Meet the Press” doesn’t have a laugh track.

Obama’s interviewer, David Gregory, was willing to flagrantly violate D.C. gun laws to beat up on NRA executive Wayne LaPierre, but when President Obama takes the stage to drop insane howlers like that, America’s top outlaw journalist just sits quietly and nods.

In truth, nothing about Obama’s record in office, re-election campaign, or fiscal cliff policy has been even slightly non-partisan or non-ideological. This kind of posturing gives partisanship and ideology a bad name – voters do band together into parties and vote for candidates based upon their campaign promises, after all. Whether or not either position is correct, a Republican’s ideological commitment to low taxes is no more illegitimate than Barack Obama’s stern ideological commitment to raising them.  (read more)

This is simple. It is time to cut off his credit card. Shut him down hard. Let them whine and squirm. Let the media have its field day. It is open season on Conservatives anyway no matter what. The only way to stop them is to cut the money off. That is it. Two years is a long time to the next election.

    • Sharon says:

I agree with your suggestion. Who’s going to cut off the credit card? What he’s doing is ok with the republican led House, as evidenced by the fact that they have not stopped him by cutting off the money.

You are right “Meet the depressed” needs a laugh trac. How is it possible that ever word and phrase this guy uses, in truth, is the opposite! We are screwed!

Until then this makes for good comedy

    I really hate his BS.
He has no clue what it means to compromise.
    He wants A, B, C, and D.
    Republicans want 1, 2, 3, and 4.
His idea of compromise is to demand that he get all 4 of his things, and if Republicans insist that he give up on any of those or on getting even one of their 4, they are blocking any “compromise” from happening.
Just look at his idea of “compromising” on spending cuts. Republicans want REAL cuts, but what he will give them are pseudo-cuts by decreasing the planned increases and calling THAT a “cut”. Using that crazy logic, I can save millions (heck, billions) of dollars every month on my household budget by simply not spending as much as I would like to. Heck, just last week I saved a quarter of a million dollars by NOT buying that house I liked. If I just don’t buy 3 more, I’ve saved a million, right?
The Republicans want a Snickers and he’s handing them a turd, saying that they should be happy because it’s got peanuts in it.

What’s funny is that Bohner and the rest of the RINOs would be HAPPY to get peanuts… He’s offering 100% Bovine Excrement straight from Chicago’s Union Stockyards.

The Big Lie, as conceived by Hitler, presumed that the lie is so blatant, so over-reaching and so bold that no reasonable, sentient human would believe you would say this thing, unless it were absolutely true.

Obama lies like Hitler on steroids.

We need some followup on this story that seems to be breaking news being ignored by mainstream media

    • jordan2222 says:

      Consider the source.

      • waltherppk says:

Yeah it seams like a reach for not so “new” breaking news based on what is old news being given a good spin and a new toss. There is some discussion about it at the Free Republic blog

Actually I think the birther labor pains would have been better focused on the Soetoro adoption/citizenship change/legal name change aspect and the absence of naturalization process for the returning adoptee to wit one Barry Soetoro having exclusive indonesian citizenship, and who would graduate high school as Barry Soetoro before in some future time resuming use of the birth name in preference to the adopted name. Changes of name and citizenship require legal records of such changes and if legal process is not followed and records available then the status of the person is in limbo. Actual heritage by blood to the alleged “baby daddy” could be established by DNA matching to other still living relatives claiming kinship as blood relations, in order to confirm ancestry or a fraudulent birth certificate showing a “marriage of convenience” to conceal the identity of the actual natural father. It would seem that as a matter of anyone getting a security clearance of the highest sort that such questions would necessarily have been resolved. So where is the paperwork and FBI file confirming the background check thoroughness as would be required for issuance of a security clearance to a person having an uncertain heritage, citizenship and legal name status, as would satisfactorily resolve such issues WRT to having a security clearance required by military and other security related agencies ? Going after the security clearance aspect should have been the emphasis all along and still should be the emphasis, because that angle has “teeth” like no other aspect of the issue presents as a concern.

      • waltherppk says:

Harping on the “security clearance” aspect has always seemed to be more promising to me than focusing on the “ballot qualification” aspect for a political candidate. The obtaining of a security clearance has far more stringent protocols and less encumberance by “privacy concerns” or any other impediments to performing a thorough background check which wouldn’t miss a thing. If the “birthers” ever wanted to mine for gold then the FBI and intelligence agency “security clearance” aspect is the mother lode. For a POTUS having such a dubious background in which subversives and communists are plainly involved, the “security clearance” aspect should be made a CENTER STAGE issue which must be FULLY RESOLVED and PUBLICLY RESOLVED.

      • waltherppk says:

Plainly it is HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS that there has not been a very public emphasis by Congressional DEMAND for the publication of SECURITY CLEARANCE confirmation reporting regarding the current POTUS, especially in light of the actions of this man which have raised SERIOUS security related AND constitutional oath ISSUES which bear investigation with due concern for the SECURITY CLEARANCE of the man whose actions are a security risk and have already caused loss of life of subordinates without any satisfactory explanation for example Fast and Furious and Benghazi, and now the constitutional crisis looming regarding the second amendment. These are not trivial issues for which the POTUS has some explaining to do and must do with explanations which withstand scrutiny.

      • waltherppk says:

There is also the issue regarding the deaths of seal team 6 and the failure to protect the doctor in Pakistan who was crucial in spotting the target for that operation which took out Bin Laden. That entire scenario stinks of a double cross, just like Benghazi and just like Fast and Furious, and now just like the second amendment issue. There is a definite pattern being revealed by these things which shows lives being spent as the currency of political schemes which make subordinates into expendable pawns.
