Anthony Gonzalez (OH-16) was one of the ten House republicans (pictured above) who voted to impeach President Trump. As President Trump announced his support for Gonzalez’s challenger, Max Miller, former House Speaker John Boehner went to Ohio to support Gonzalez. Apparently the support of Paul Ryan and John Boehner was not enough to help. Max Miller was in position to primary Gonzalez.
Tonight, Gonzalez conceded his seat:
The Uniparty trash must be removed. The terms democrat or republican just don’t matter any more as the DC swamp is filled with a single party that has a single goal. It is time to destroy them before they destroy us!
Pat Buchanan pointed that out when he said, back in the 90s, that the two parties are simply two wings on the same bird of prey. Alas, it has been that way all of my adult life.
“…my desire to build a fuller family life is at the heart of my decision…” ? oh please, spare us this line of BS…if he thought he could win re-election, he would be on a stump right now.
Donald Trump gave the Republican party a giant wave of popular support they had not seen since Reagan, the best economy the U.S. has ever seen, southern border under control, better international trade agreements, record-setting vote totals as a Republican Pres. candidate in 2016 / 2020 and no new wars.
Gonzalez proved himself to be another GOPe/RINO with the rest of that 10 person cabal and all of them need to go. They are corrupt, don’t care about 75 million Trump voters and will happily sell their seat to the highest bidder.
I had high hopes for Gonzalez. What a disappointment he turned out to be.
Anthony was my rep in NE Ohio. What a terrible disappointment! His grandfather escaped Cuba, and it seemed Anthony wanted to embrace Democratic Cuban dictates for America. I hope Max Miller is a Patriot.
He could have shortened his statement by telling the truth, “I screwed up bigly.”
The absolute BEST part of this news in Ohio is that it will send the Gov Mike DeRINO camp into a private panic.
DeRINO and BALDzalez run in the same Ohio RINO camp. So does Jane Timken and John Kasich and Rob Portman.
They’re all funded by the Ohio Chinese Chamber of Commerce which is now run by RINO former Congressman Szechuan Steve Stivers. They’re also funded by the Ohio Beijing Business Roundtable which is run by Peking Pat Tiberi, another former RINO Congressman.
And Les Wexner funds them, too.
They’re gonna be panicking with this news.
I guess they’ll have to tell JD Vance, Jonah Schulz and Joe Blystone to ramp up the vote splitting efforts.
Good let them. They helped destroy my home of Youngstown..or I should say their predecessors did. They just continue the BS.
My dad is retired now but he ground his knuckles and lungs away to nothingness welding and working steel for over 30 years. He was a good union man. Despite his lot in life not improving too much even though they all worked hard. Can’t push back too hard because the industry is razor-thin anymore. Meanwhile, his union boss has a few million-dollar homes, as do the boss’s kids. Meanwhile the sons and daughters of the workers they supposedly support struggle to pay for college or even get out.
I share that because those same darn unions have pressured or manipulated the workers to vote for the elitist dipshits that keep them down. It’s crazy….I hope now that my dad is retired he can see that these fools you mention are also the enemy.
Hey, my mom was born and raised in the Struthers Youngstown area some 100 yrs ago. That area, she used to claim, was absolutely the heart of the nation. Her and my dad moved out west in the 50s. That area of Ohio was deep and rich in family value for us.
There are very few decent Republicans here in Ohio. Most are pretty much worthless, starting at the top with Dewine, Husted and downward (except for those like Nino Vitale). Even locally they have turned into career politicians that just feed from the public trough and think words are accomplishments. The stench and corruption of the Ohio GOP is well past ripe and time to be flushed.
