Memorial Day Weekend starts off like last year, same/same…

Myrtle Beach police have one person in custody after a reported shooting at the Compass Cove Myrtle Beach Resort at 2311 S. Ocean Boulevard, according to Lt. Joey Crosby, with Myrtle Beach police.
Crosby said one person was shot in a motel room and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators are still on scene. (link)

South Carolina – One person has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a shooting Saturday night at Compass Cove, 2311 S. Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, police said.

The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the ninth floor of the hotel, Capt. David Knipes with Myrtle Beach Police said. Investigators were still at the hotel about midnight, Lt. Joey Crosby with Myrtle Beach Police said.
Police took a man into custody shortly after the shooting for questioning, Knipes said. “There was a subject that was located in the crowd that we have taken to our annex for questioning at this point,” Knipes said.
Police did not release any other details about the incident. Witnesses reported about five gunshots from the parking garage of Compass Cove. James Tyson of North Carolina was sitting across the street on his motorcycle when he heard the shots.
