We’ve often talked about the marked similarity between these trying times and the similarities to the time just prior to the awakening in Poland which spurred the Solidarity Movement.
Indeed, in Poland then, just like in the U.S. now, the media was selling one central planning script yet a divergent reality existed in the street – amid the people.
It took the people of Poland to actually walk into the street and recognize they had been fooled. They thought for years their individual desires for freedom and smaller government put them in the minority.  Individually they each believed their government was operating with the consent of the governed.  However, they were wrong.
Once the ordinary citizen made the decision to take to the street they recognized their views and perspectives were actually held in the majority. The media was merely selling a guise on behalf of the centralized governing body.
If you looked at U.S. headlines today you would think the Tea Party was dead. It’s not, quite the contrary it is actually consistent.
If you looked at U.S. media opinion of Ted Cruz, you would think the entire nation thought of him as a whacko bird. They don’t, the majority actually recognize what value is within the message carried by Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
If you look at the U.S. media opinion of the fiscal issues facing our nation you would think the majority just doesn’t care how much we spend. Again, wrong; the vast majority understand we are on a path of unsustainable fiscal recklessness.
If you watch the punditry talk about Obamacare, and the Health Care issues, you would think the majority of Americans want Obamacare to be the governing legislation behind their healthcare decisions. They don’t, the vast majority of Americans want this Un-Affordable Care Act deconstructed.
A parallel universe indeed.
Meanwhile, in a recent similarity, the people of Egypt took to the street and shook off the confining reins of their oppressive minority ruling, and Obama supported, Muslim Brotherhood government.
President Obama, on our behalf, now naively engages Iran, which will most certainly lead to their acquisition of a nuclear weapon;  and having lost Eastern Libya to al-Qaeda, seemingly now defers to Russia over Syrian WMD lest he once again screw up  international affairs with the same balance tipping construct of incompetence.
Meanwhile the infamous terror group al-Qaeda is rising all over the Middle East and Northern Africa.   Al-Shabaab has a training facility in Mexico and has crossed the Southern U.S. border.    Homegrown Islamic terrorist incidents are on the rise, and every media avoidance effort is being undertaken to insure it’s not widely known.

Gas is at $3.50+ a gallon yet coal energy resources are off limits, and illegal due to the new mandates by the EPA;  Drilling leases are few and far between, the Keystone Pipeline project is shelved and energy prices are necessarily skyrocketing.
Food and Energy inflation is extreme yet not measured under current inflationary measures; while employee wages are stagnant and Obamacare forces tens of thousands of Full-Time workers into Part-Time status.
The national labor workforce participation rate is at historic all time lows, and yet federal deficit spending continues to skyrocket with over $17,000,000,000,000 in deficit debt and counting.  [That’s about $75,000 in debt per person]
Meanwhile not a single day of President Obama’s administration has been with a federal budget.   [The last federal budget was passed in the fall of 2007 and signed into law by President George W. Bush in September of 2007]   For 4 consecutive years the Democrat controlled Senate had never even proposed a budget; and proposed one this year so absurd in construct it barely passed it’s own measure.
The IRS is targeting people based on political affiliation.   The National Security Agency (NSA) is spying on your e-mail.   The Federal Dept of Justice has admitted to lying to FISA courts for illegal warrants on your phone records.   And yet the primary concern of the DOJ is to advocate for restrictions to your own gun ownership rights.
Four Americans were killed in Benghazi during an event that no-one truly has ever explained.  The Dept of Defense was never engaged in trying to rescue them.   The people in the State Dept who were in charge of all the Benghazi aspects are back doing exactly what they were doing before the attack took place.   Nothing to see here… move along…. move along.
Don’t worry, the media says none of this is the President’s fault – it’s those pesky Republicans.
…And if you’re not too sure if a two year Senator with no executive experience prior to running for the White House is actually up to the job of managing the worlds largest superpower and economy, all you have to do is ask him.
Five years of abject failure in his wake and he’ll tell you how great he is.
