Wanted Poster - Zimmerman 2When we revealed the Miami-Dade School Police Department cover-up, we were contacted by a well known writer who wanted to commend the Treehouse community for our dogged pursuit of truth. Additionally, they were astounded at the information revealed within the six sworn affidavits – and asked for a phone call.

Reluctantly, after much back and forth, we decided to go ahead and make the call. In essence the writer wanted to reconcile how they had never seen any of this information in the Main-Stream press – they considered it explosive, and couldn’t fathom why the Miami Herald had never followed up on their FOIA request about the burglary.

As a consequence of this phone call I was begged to contact the Main-Stream media and provide the information – Not to do so was framed as not doing everything possible to help the Truth, and as a consequence George Zimmerman.   Zimmerguilt eventually dictated my acquiescence.

I was told the best outlets to publish a story about the material was going to be either the Miami Herald, or the Orlando Sentinel. Both of whom had a vested reader interest in the story; Both of whom “should” be interested in follow-up.

Immediately I knew the Miami Herald was out of the question. All of the writers associated with the Miami Herald, and especially those attached to the Trayvon Martin case were insufferably biased. Writers like Frances Robles, and Joy-Ann Reid;  The latter whose husband runs a video production company, which sells product to NBC, and the Obama Campaign, was obviously out of the question. (There’s more, but I’ll stop there)

So that left the Orlando Sentinel. OK, worth a shot – I guess.

It was that April, 2013, conversation which revealed something I already knew, but was still astounded to hear expressed.

I was told – in no uncertain terms: The Orlando Sentinel has a vested financial interest in the Trial taking place. Investments have been made, arrangements have been budgeted for, hundreds of man hours were already in place, vacations coordinated around the trial, rental contracts signed, equipment and logistical support already in place and the return on their investment was not only expected, it was needed/demanded.

The editorial board had already established their publication protocols, meaning what they would and would not write about. Now think about that for a second? The trial has not even started, yet the editors who control the end product have already determined “what’ aspects they will allow to be written about, and how they will allow those articles to be written.

Weiner StutzmanThe primary journalists were frequently called into the editorial boardroom and told exactly what “angles” they will be permitted to follow or write about.

The journalists were told what aspects of Trayvon Martin they could say, and what they could not say. The journalist were given the same, albeit far less restrictive, instructions on George Zimmerman.

Nothing about Trayvon’s behavior would be allowed in publication. Nothing about Trayvon’s criminal history would be permitted in publication, and, in essence, nothing negative about the Martin family was allowed. The journalist(s) got the message loud and clear. Trayvon Articles must be positively framed, and Zimmerman articles had greater latitude for negative commentary and broadcast.

Obviously that sat heavy on the jaw – to hear it so openly stated, and so matter-of-factly admitted to. It reminded me of many conversations with life long progressives who have been indoctrinated to be so disconnected from their moral compass they just can’t see the embedded mental outcomes from their dispatch. This, to me, is what frames the vast majority of liberal hypocrisy – They just don’t see it.

Similar disconnection to the Police Chief, Frank Fowler, in Syracuse New York who, when talking about the 15 and 17 year olds who killed a guy while punching him and kicking him until his one of his eyes actually popped out of it’s socket, said:

“A man lost his life because a group of young people decided to play this very dangerous game,” Fowler said.

Humor in NatureNo. A Man didn’t lose his life over a game – as if the “kids” were playing chicken, planking on a railroad crossing, or spinning a bottle rocket.   A man lost his life because two black thugs wanted to go beat a white guy to death to prove they are thug worthy. That’s not a game jackass !

So when a “investigative type” journalist says: The editorial board has determined we have a financially vested interest in the case coming to trial and they don’t want us writing anything which might affect that, nor will they provide any spending allowance for expenses toward an end that is counter intuitive to our outlet’s goal – It kind of hits you in the face with the same level of absurdity as the “Knock Out Game” excuse/accidental murder. *FACEPALM*

Suffice to say – the call was a waste of effort sans finding out just how biased the known biases really are. So as you read this article, keep all of that in mind – It changes the perspective and the absorption.

SANFORD — With the George Zimmerman murder trial just one week away, a village of satellite TV trucks is about to pop up outside the Seminole County criminal courthouse.

For months, courthouse personnel and others have been getting ready for what’s expected to be one of the most-watched trials of the year and the biggest in Seminole County history.

Mostly, they’ve tried to figure out how to prepare for the crush of people expected to descend on the 215,000-square-foot building once Zimmerman’s second-degree-murder trial begins June 10.

They’ve hashed out who gets a seat in the courtroom, despite its limited space, and who does not.

They’ve put together detailed — and secret — plans on how to ensure the safety of Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin’s family, witnesses, the judge and jurors.

They’ve implemented a set of rules to manage protesters and spectators — they’ll be confined to a specific part of the lawn — and enlisted a group of local black pastors to watch the proceedings and try to keep everyone calm.

They’ve also agonized over anticipated traffic jams on U.S. Highway 17-92, the road that fronts the courthouse, as well as what to do with all the cars sure to fill the courthouse parking lot.

And they’ve strategized over how to make sure there’s enough electricity, Wi-Fi and radio-frequency capacity for the multitudes about to descend on the $45 million building.

“It’s a big deal,” said Steve Hyvonen, news director at WKMG-Channel 6, who plans to have 15 staffers at the trial every day. “It’s a very big deal.”

And it’s a challenge for the 9-year-old building, built by county officials who had no idea of the demands that would be placed on it because of a confrontation one rainy evening between Zimmerman, a Neighborhood Watch volunteer with a gun, and Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old high-school junior.

Courtroom – The courtroom seats have been carefully parceled out. Thirty-one will go to journalists. Six are being set aside for Trayvon’s family and six for Zimmerman’s.

Twenty-four will go to members of the public through a daily lottery. Four have been set aside for black local ministers, part of a much larger group of Sanford-area religious leaders who’ve been working with the U.S. Department of Justice since Trayvon’s shooting to minimize racial tensions.

The Rev. Valerie J. Houston, pastor at Sanford’s Allen Chapel AME Church, said they’ll watch the proceedings, communicate with their congregations and go outside and talk to protesters if there’s a need for crowd control. (read more)
