Once again, same storyline, same type of crime, and the same insufferable avoidance by the media to discuss not only the race of the perps, but also their intents and motivations. Wash-Rinse-Repeat…. blah, blah, blah…..
It was another “Thrill Killing” – but the media just cannot grasp the intentional motive.
Six black teens all under the age of 17 shoot and kill a 34-year-old white male driving down the street in a suburban neighborhood of no particular consequence, for no apparent reason. (….stop me when you get to the point where you’ve heard this before….)
The black shooter thugs? One was 13, two were 14, two were 15 and one was 16-years old.
Here are the reports which outline the crime, discuss the random brutality, and in the most insufferable way – ponder what possibly could be going wrong.
Scott Herald (doofus prog-writer) – […] The motive? Authorities have described it as a carjacking turned lethal. As he stopped at the intersection of Keller Avenue and Hansom Drive shortly before noon on April 2, Boyer was shot at point-blank range.
Background of kids – On some level, whoever raised those kids failed. Even if the others were only along for the ride, they didn’t know the value of human life, the very stuff Boyer dedicated his career to saving.
Oakland police Chief Howard Jordan talked about the phenomenon of ever-younger shooters, saying he was “very concerned” about an unacceptable trend.
But it isn’t just the age of the kids that chills us. It is the randomness of the crime. How did one of them execute a man who — in different circumstances — would readily try to save their lives? (continue reading the ridiculous avoidance and obfuscation)
Here’s another report from CBS San Francisco, just so you can see them pretzel contort themselves into various shapes as they discuss the motive of the crime, without discussing the motive of the crime:
[…] Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’Malley said in a statement, “This senseless murder has shocked the community of Oakland as well as all of us who work in the criminal justice system.”
She said, “Mr. Boyer, a paramedic, dedicated his life to helping others. His brazen daytime killing at the hands of a 16-year-old armed with a gun is a tragedy on many levels. My office will ensure that justice is served.”
Oakland police said one of the suspects was arrested Monday night and investigators, after working through the night, developed information that led to the arrest of four other suspects, including Burton, on Tuesday. They said the sixth suspect, a 13-year-old boy, was arrested Wednesday.
In announcing the arrests of the first five suspects, Oakland Police Chief Howard Jordan said Tuesday that the crime is part of what he described as “a disturbing trend in this city” in which juveniles as young as 13 have been involved in violent crimes. (link to the CBS avoiders)
