We Will Not Be Disobeyed – Biden Gets Testy During Town Hall When Pushed On Gun Control’s Failures: “Is This Parents Magazine? I Have Parents Magazine. I’ve Never Heard Anybody In Parents Magazine Ask These Kinds Of Questions”…

How dare the bitterclingers present a counter argument to the regime !!

WASHINGTON - Vice President Joe Biden was caught off guard Tuesday by questions he was asked during a Facebook Town Hall with Parents Magazine.

One questioner equated gun control to drug control — if criminalizing drugs didn’t get them off the streets, why will criminalizing guns? — and a second asked if limiting assault weapons and high-capacity magazines would limit people’s ability to protect themselves.

“Is this Parents Magazine? I have Parents Magazine. I’ve never heard anybody in Parents Magazine ask these kinds of questions,” Biden said.

On the question about drug control, he tried to tamp down the notion that the administration wants to criminalize guns (“There is no ban on guns, no one’s banning a gun.”) and he took issue with the comparison to illegal drugs.

“Are you suggesting we have no, we just legalize all drugs? Is that what you’re suggesting? That would go real well in Parents Magazine,” Biden said. “Let’s talk about being able to — no matter what your age — go out and be able to purchase cocaine. What do you think about that idea?”

“Look, these comparisons are not appropriate, quite frankly, but secondly the idea [that] you should have no law unless the law you have prevents all violations of that law, that is not the way society works.”  (read more)

The right to life is inalienable so by simple logic the right to defend that life, by whatever means possible, is by extension also inalienable(hence the 2nd Amendment). The VERY minimum for self-defense, in my view, would be weapons equal to those utilized by the police. As for drug usage, and I will probably get push-back for this view, I pose a simple question—As a free-willed, consenting adult, who owns your body? Should I or society care/contribute emotionally or financially for what one does voluntarily to themselves? Doesn’t the concept of liberty include the ability/right to make bad choices and be solely responsible for those choices? As I see it, Biden and progressives as a whole want desperately to strip citizens of their inalienable rights, their ability for self-determination, make us all as dependent children/household pets. Who owns your body, your future?

In the video, the Don Quixote of VPs, asks for the question to be read but then doesn’t wait to hear the question and then asks her name and gives a ridiculous answer. In addition, he’s suggesting discharging firearms in the air outside your house. Why not just get a large noise maker?

    My anti virus (Kaperski) denied access to that link;

    malicious link

However, I posted a link to the magazine’s facebook page while this was going on yesterday. (in the OT) Made note of one *female’s* question…

Will banning our weapons complete obama’s dictatorship?

And that was one of the nicer questions. I was amazed that it was the females hammering him the hardest.

It’s a scary thought that this man could be president one day.

Biden proved he knows squat about shooting any kind of weapon. He tells a woman that a shotgun is easier to aim and shoot than an AR-15 and to walk out on the balcony with a double barrel and fire two rounds in the air. Not every woman can shoot a shotgun without being knocked on their rears, AR-15 on the other hand doesn’t kick like a mule and what a dumb idiot if you fire two rounds out of your double barrel now you have an empty gun.

Prog logic it’s a woman’s choice when it comes to killing a baby but they’re too stupid to choose their method of self defense and as the Colorado dem said too stupid to even know if they’re being raped and can’t be trusted with a gun because they might pop someone.

    • stringplayer55 says:

Those were my immediate thoughts as well. Biden first assumes that a woman is able to handle the kick of a shotgun. Many could, but a very large proportion of women would not be able to handle that kick and might actually injure themselves in attempting to use a shotgun.

Now, assuming that the woman that Biden is counseling can withstand the kick, Biden’s sage counsel (snigger) would have that woman advertise she has a double barrel shotgun and she just discharged both barrels. Now that she is defenseless, anything could be done to her.

Way to go Joe! Or maybe we should refer to you as Stumpy. As many times as you’ve stuck your foot in your mouth, you must have chewed it down good by now.

Parents of Newtown shooting victim address gun control in Flagler.

” After introducing himself and his wife, Barden asked for the subject of gun control to be taken more seriously. “We just need a new conversation about gun laws,” he said. He called the issue “deeply personal” for him and his wife. Barden explained his own point of view. He doesn’t want Washington, D.C., to take away a person’s right to bear arms. What he wants above all else, he said, is more discussion and debate – and from that maybe a law or two that could help prevent another mass shooting. He also asked residents to listen to “those of us who have lost the most.” He then pointedly asked DeSantis how he planned to address the gun issue.”

I did not attend this meeting, but read about it in the paper this morning. We are a small city in northeast Florida, yet these parents decided to travel over an hour to attend this meeting (they say they were in Florida visiting relatives).

As a side note, our school adminstration just voted to add police officers in every elementary school in the district until the end of the year. This action expanded the longstanding existing policy of officers in high schools and middle schools.

  9. Chip Bennett says:

Laws against illicit drugs do not keep those drugs off the street, or away from children.
Laws controlling prescription drugs do not keep those drugs off the street, or away from children.
Laws controlling OTC drugs to not keep those drugs from being abused, or away from children.

Laws against automatic/military weapons actually have worked pretty effectively since the 1930s.
Laws prohibiting scary-looking guns do not keep those scary-looking guns off the street, or away from children (or out of Diane Feinstein presser backdrops).
Laws restricting magazine capacity do not keep restricted magazines off the street, or away from children (or out of David Gregory’s hands).

Nope; no analogy there at all…

This guy sounds like HE is ON drugs. Should be put out of his (and our) misery.

im tired if them pissing on my leg and telling me its raining. “no one wants to take your guns” they say, and yet http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2013/02/missouri-lawmakers-propose-confiscatory-gun-bill-for-assault-weapons-2565862.html

on the flip side though, http://www.kmov.com/news/local/Mo-House-bill-makes-proposing-gun-control-illegal-191847081.html
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com/AP) — A Missouri lawmaker has introduced a bill that would make it illegal for anyone to introduce legislation that restricts gun ownership.
Representative Mike Leara from south St. Louis County is leading the charge in the capitol against the bill democrats introduced last week call for confiscating assault rifles.
“It’s a little bit of push back we see people filing bills trying to confiscate our personal property,” said Leara, “And it was time to push back and say enough is enough.”
Rep. Leara introduced House Bill No. 633 Monday which would charge any member of the assembly with a Class D felony if they proposed any ban on firearms.
That would include Creve Couer Democrat Jill Schupp who is co sponsoring an assault weapons ban.
“We don’t want any more children or family members, neighbors, friends, dying from gun violence,” said Schupp, “You know if I was intimidated by that then this might not be a good place for me to be.”
The proposed law Schupp sponsored, HB 545, is modeled after the ban passed in New York state and would require all assault weapon owners to remove their guns from the state or turn them in to police in 90 days.
Other Democratic lawmakers don’t seem fazed by the bill.
Senator Maria Chappelle Nadal has a bill forcing parents who own guns to lock them up and keep them from children.
“I’m not under the illusion this bill will become law, but it was sending a statement that we’ve had enough,” said Leara, “There are people here who believe in second amendment rights.”

  12. Tracker 3 says:

What an ignorant elitist! He was appaled by the folks in a parent magazine session actually defying the lecture and not willing to give in to the administration’s propaganda.
Biden is incredulous with his statement saying that no one is trying to take your guns. He is completely out of tune.

Keep the pressure on him at any of his speaking engagements. He will get frustrated and eventually gaffe out his, and the administrations intentions.

    • boricuafudd says:

He was angry they let someone who did not read the script ask questions, making him improvise. Neither Obama or Biden are great at Improv, and it shows.

    • stringplayer55 says:

Of course he was incredulous. The media has been a total lapdog to this administration. How dare anyone in the media ask a question that goes counter to the agenda of the POTUS and his lackeys? Wouldn’t you be incredulous, too, given the climate the media reception this administration has had?
