That reminds me of a beagle mix dog my husband came home from work with one day. The first time we left it alone in the house it ate big holes in my custom made draperies. The next time we left he shut it up in the garage. When we came home it had eaten a huge hole in the garage door leading to the inside of the house. That dog went right back where he came from needless to say. I love dogs and he was the only one I gave up on.

Kind of ironic, that is one of my son’s favorite photos and today is his day.
    Happy Birthday B!!!

Some think pictures like this are staged. They are probably not. When I’ve come home to sights like this my first thought is not to grab a camera.

Reminds me of a weenie dog ex SIL had. First he chewed the window ledge (full length window) off in the living room…brand new house BTW. Then he chewed the skirt off a newly reupholstered cricket rocker.
So they decided to keep him in the utility room (laundry room to some) when they weren’t home. He chewed the door facing off the door going outside. So they installed a doggie door. Then made the mistake of latching the doggie door one day when they left.
Came home to a gaping hole where the doggie door used to be.
That dog wasn’t right in more ways than just chewing. He was a pee-er…no I don’t mean not housebroken. He peed when excited.
Nephew discovered he could pick him up and *aim him*.

when our dog was baby puppy, I vacuumed in nearby room and realized I was too close to his kennel after seeing that he peed himself (was housebroken). I had to reintroduce vacuum to him later on and now he chases me around when I vacuum trying to get his nemesis. ;)

A couple of years ago I had to “re home” a weenie dog…..after he chewed the electrical cord off the 4th lamp into a dozen pieces….all of them while they were plugged in! I think the little bugger was addicted to the electrical jolt.

Came home one day and found the live end of the wire (still plugged in to the outlet) lying on a sock he’d dragged out of the clothes basket, on the carpet by my bed.

    That was it…had to go!

    Freakin pyromaniac dog! :(

My dog has been confined to the kitchen when I’m not home for most of her life. When she was a puppy, she was sometimes crated part of the time. While still teething, she ate the plaster off the corners in two places, and chewed the edge of one of my kitchen cabinet doors. She outgrew that phase, fortunately.

This post and comments had me laughing until my sides hurt! Especially the “spider” one. Thanks all, for a great start to the day (well, it’s still before noon here, and time for a second cup of coffee).
