Turkey, once a key ally of Israel before Erdogan took office, is calling on Syria to attack Israel as retaliation for the Israeli pre-emptive bombing of chemical weapons depots in Syria. ….. You know that neighborhood jackwagon who is always looking to instigate trouble,…. well, that’s Turkey now in Obama’s term(s)….
TURKEY – Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu slammed Israel’s alleged strike in Syria, urging Damascus to retaliate, the Hurriyet news agency reported.
“Why didn’t (Bashar) Assad even throw a pebble when Israeli jets were flying over his palace and playing with the dignity of his country?” Davutoglu told reporters Saturday on his way to an international conference on Syria in Munich, which Defense Minister Ehud Barak is also expected to attend.
“Why didn’t the Syrian Army, which has been attacking its own innocent people for 22 months now from the air with jets and by land with tanks and artillery fire, respond to Israel’s operation? Why can’t Assad, who gave order to fire SCUD missiles at Aleppo, do anything against Israel?” Davutoglu added.
The foreign minister suggested there might exist a collaborative conspiracy between Israel and Assad’s regime. “Is there a secret agreement between Assad and Israel? The Assad regime only abuses. Why don’t you use the same power that you use against defenseless women against Israel, which you have seen as an enemy since its foundation,” he said.
The Turkish Minister insisted that Turkey will not stand by as Israel attacks a Muslim country. (link)

Chaos.
This is not going to end well.
For Turkey or Syria.
Hopefully.
Fantasy land is the USA, Russia and China join forces temporarily and crush them.

“The very fact that in World War II we chose to fight with one form of Totalitarianism against the other two forms, though all were intrinsically wicked, proves not only the basic sympathy between Western materialism and communism but also the grave mistake of trying to drive the Devil out with Beelzebub” – Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
Bishop Fulton Sheen discussed the alliance of America with the Soviet Union, because of the desire to be victorious over Nazism and Fascism, and the subsequent national blindness of such an alliance. You cannot beat Satan with Beelzebub. Bishop Sheen was censored from saying that line during World War II.

“Our Russian Oracle”

The Russians also do more. They make the future, directly, instead of merely reacting to events. Back in the 1980s, for example, you might ask whether Europe was going to use Russian natural gas or continue to build nuclear power plants. The answer appeared by way of a nuclear reactor accident at a place called Chernobyl. Europe’s future dependence on Russian natural gas was thereby sealed. To take another, more recent, example: a KGB analyst in Moscow has predicted civil war in the United States. According to Russia’s Igor Panarin, America’s breakup will occur sometime around 2010 or 2011. In this instance, the Chernobyl component has yet to be detonated.

When a civilization is far along the path of unraveling, the barbarians sense the Empire’s growing weakness. They gather at the frontiers. They push, threaten and fuss. Earlier this week the president of Russia, having invaded and looted a small country, warned that Russia would crush anyone who got in its way. Menacing language was used with regard to Poland and Ukraine. In response to this NATO was split. Some member states were unwilling to hold Russia accountable because Russia supplies them with natural gas and oil.
It’s funny how things play out. The price of oil should start rising again. There is a leaky pipeline in the North Sea, and the world’s second-largest pipeline has been damaged in Georgia. Funny thing, too, and most will think it a coincidence; but a Ukrainian patriot recently explained to me that energy prices bottomed out just before the Chernobyl reactor blew up in April 1986, releasing a radioactive cloud that blew across Europe. People who’ve experienced such an event aren’t eager to build nuclear power plants. What better advertisement could there have been for Russian natural gas? And now Europe depends on Russian gas.

Lech Kaczynski fought for Poland Energy Independence!
Excerpt
Except this blunder, which was of course blown by his opponents, Lech Kaczyński was known because of:
1. Communism oppositionist – he was event interned by communistic government as “anti-socialist element” (1981)
2. He strongly supported the construction of Museum of the Warsaw Uprising. It can be said, that without him, this museum would not be constructed.
3. He supported construction of museum of the Polish Jews in Warsaw. He was over religious divisions – he was the first Polish president, who visited Jewish Synagogue after II World War (Kaczyński was Catholic)
4.When other countries abandon Georgie after Russian attack (because of the fear of Russia) – Lech Kaczyński was one of the few presidents which declared the support for Georgia.
5. Lech Kaczyński fought for Poland energy independence.

“The Velvet Surrender”
By Gregory Feifer and Brian Whitmore – September 17, 2010
Excerpt
Unlike the recent U.S.-Russian spy scandal, this is serious business. Russia has the largest energy reserves in the world and, after Vladimir Putin was elected in 2000, Moscow began an aggressive push into European oil and gas markets. Putin started seizing back the energy assets that the government had privatized in the 1990s, and, before long, some of the most powerful Russian energy players were practically indistinguishable from the state. Putin saw the means to pursue his long-cherished goal of restoring Russia to the ranks of the great powers, which he had outlined in his doctoral thesis. The logic was simple: The more countries depended on Russia for their energy needs, the more leverage Russia would have over them. Moscow initially set its sights close to home, on the Eastern and Central European countries it had once controlled, and where it could still draw on a network of useful connections.

Sorry, I think we should just outright say that anyone that attacks Israel will be met with unbelievable force from the USA. How hard is that and how hard is that for us to follow through with? Currently there is no one on Earth that can defeat us. After 4 more years Obama may weaken us, but nether Russia nor China would dare take us on.
Since Skeeter obama is the CIC at the moment, he does not care for Israel and he favors Islamic forces (and in fact has plainly said that if things took a turn politically, he would stand with Islam)…he is not in favor of Israel’s survival, he is incompetent both as a political and military leader, he is not to be trusted either militarily or politically–all of these things being the case (and him being the leader we are stuck with) how could he possibly “lead us” into a successful confrontation?
Rumsfeld made the comment back in the 90s that “you have to go to war with the forces you have” (or words to that effect). Unfortunately, it would appear that whatever war we might be forced to undertake within the next 48 months will have to be undertaken with the potus we have. God help us.
With him as POTUS and Hagel as SecDef, how many things could possibly go wrong? Hundreds? Dozens at the least?
When you say “no one on Earth…can defeat us…” I’m not sure what you mean? Leadership DOES matter. The lack of leadership cost 4 men their lives in Benghazi. The lack of leadership (or betrayal) has cost how many SEALS their lives? Who on earth is it that could offset his incompetency or disloyalty? Is there something afoot in the military that would suggest they can offset what he does? Compensate for HIM?? I don’t think so.
What I meant, other than “Bravado” was I don’t think someone as weak as a leader like Obama will be able to destroy the USA. When I said “No one on Earth can defeat us” I did mean militarily. Both the Russians and Chinese recognize that. I have ample faith that the people will rise up and demand action long before Obama can disarm the USA is all. I pray I am right.
I hope you are, too, of course, but we don’t have any basis, I don’t think, for assuming that the people have any leverage for “rising up and demanding action.” Unfortunately, the majority of our Congress (the one governing body with the authority to do something directly/immediately about stopping him) seems to be ok with what he’s doing.
Reality at the moment does not favor either the US military or normal Americans.
Does. CIC. Stand for chicken in charge
“How hard is that and how hard is that for us to follow through with?”
Dunno, but it might be time to bring the NATO nukes home.

I bought a T and a hoodie for my daughter supporting the IDF and Mossad.
She is definitely the coolest Kick Ar$e kid in the class. (also the only Black Belt in her 5th grade).
I have absolutely no idea why people support the terrorists rather than the Israelis. I’m Lutheran BTW.
Thumbs up You have taught your daughter to respect and defend herself . also she is well informed
That is a great idea. Where did you purchase? (if you don’t mind my asking)
May be a fine point here, this is Davutoglu and not Erdogan talking, technically it’s not ‘official’ and may just be a throw-out to let Israel know that turkey’s nervous about fallout from Israeli attacks. If Erdogan were saying this I’d be feeling differently. Turkey’s as worried about the NBC stocks in Syria as Israel is, remember Turkey has a secular government as the more fundamentalist neighbors aren’t to happy about that. Throw in Turkey looking more towards Europa than its neighbors as partners, and being seen as a base (small pun there) for European NATO expansion into the Mideast – you can see the Turks are as worried about those weapons being used on them as the Israelis are. I’m seeing the Turks having to throw up a bit of a plausible deniability screen to make it seem to the radicals around and radical members of its own society that it’s appalled. Go back forty years and see if Turkey’s ever joined the other Muslim nations in attacking Israel – and it ain’t likely it ever will. If Israel didn’t attack the Syrian site then most likely Turkey would have to and that would ratchet up the stakes even more. There’s a big gap between what Turkey says and what Turkey will do – it’s international diplomacy.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan slammed Israel on Sunday over its alleged airstrike in Syria.
“Anything could happen in the region,” Erdogan said. “Those who treated the Israeli government like a spoiled child should know that history will not forgive Israel’s state structure.”
The alleged Israeli strike, he said, “is unacceptable to us … It is against every international law.”

Nope, I’m not worried. Turkey playing to its neighbors. Turkey’s biggest wish is to be admitted to the EU, it’s primary interests in its own neighborhood revolve around not getting into pee-pee contests with them. It’s main enemy is Iran, I wouldn’t sweat what Turkey says, only what it does. It will not attack Israel, plain and simple. The Turkish ,military controls Turkey and its not about to go and screw everything up by doing something stupid to a nation much of the EU has deep dealings with. The Turkish diplomatic team is just going through the motions.
