All they had to do – was to send a person to KNOCK ON THE DOOR – WITH A SEARCH WARRENT! What would have happened? It is completely possible that the person would have been shown the LEGAL ARMS!! But we will never know – because the bone-head ATF choose to “shoot their way in…” Up to that point – the people in that compound – BROKE NO LAW.

Waco and Ruby Ridge were early shots in the government’s war on it’s own people. What happened at Waco was nothing short of mass murder. At the very least, it was a hostage situation where the government went in and caused the death of the 26 innocent children.

Along those lines, we shouldn’t cheer so much when our gov tortures people. The next time it could internal enemies of the state.

It is useful to post a link to the one and only SCOTUS case that addressed what types of arms are protected by the Second Amendment.

    http://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/historics/USSC_CR_0307_0174_ZS.html

The court upheld the conviction of Miller on charges of possessing an unregistered, sawed off shotgun on the very narrow grounds that the defendant (who wasn’t present) had presented no evidence that such a weapon was commonly used by the military.

BTW, the ATF claimed that their agents were ambushed with a fusillade of full auto AK-47s and .50 BMGs.
The FBI publication Law Enforcement Killed and Assaulted 1993 reveals that all four agents died from singular gun shot wounds to the head rather than multiple wounds that one would expect from an unaimed ambush. Two agents were shot with .223, one with .308, and a fourth was shot with an indeterminately identified round that was either .308 or 7.62×39.

Hi Knuclke – I perhaps do not “like” the “Branch people” – but I have no RIGHT to persecute them for their beliefs – on their own property – when they never broke ANY LAW. The claim was that Kresh had FULLY AUTOMATIC AK-47’S. The FBI and ATF, had RECORDING EQUIPMENT. All the had to do was to get ONE RECORDING OF “burrrrpppp” of fully-automatic fire. THEN – they could have KNOCKED ON THE DOOR with a SEARCH WARRENT – and found that supposed AUTOMATIC WEAPON. This raid was totally incompetent – and illegal. The ATF wanted to “strut its stuff” to prove to Clinton what a wonderful job it was doing “finding” illegal gun ownership.

    Some Clinton quotes.
“The Constitution is a radical document… it is the job of the government to rein in people’s rights.”
President William Jefferson Clinton on MTV – 1992

“We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans …”
President William Jefferson Clinton USA Today March 11, 1993

“If the personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution inhibit the government’s ability to govern the people, we should look to limit those guarantees.”
William Jefferson Clinton, August 12, 1993

“We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society.”
    Hillary Clinton, First Lady 1993

“Society’s needs come before the individual’s needs.”
Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) German Nazi Dictator
When Hillary and Hitler sound alike, it gets pretty scary, don’t you think? The common good comes before the private good.
    Nazi slogan

How long would slavery have lasted if all the slaves had owned AR-15’s?
