Yet today President Obama presents his administration as concerned about the fiscal state of the union, and declares “we are not a deadbeat nation”.
The last federal budget was signed into law Sept of 2007 by President Bush. Since then not a single day of President Obama’s term(s) in office have any accompanying budget.
The fiscal year 2013 budget proposal from the President was so absurd that not a single Democrat in either the House or Senate voted for it. In actuality that proposal received ZERO votes in either chamber from either party. Zero.
The Senate has refused to even PRESENT a budget proposal in the past 3 years.
Even when Democrats controlled The House of Representatives, and held a filibuster proof majority in the Senate, and President Obama was in the White House, for the years 2009 and 2010, they did not present -nor pass or legislate- a budget.
Not one.
The only federal budgets to pass congress in the last FIVE years were passed by House Republicans for fiscal years 2012 and 2013, “The Ryan Plans” as they were called. Yet Harry Reid failed to allow them to come to a vote in the Senate, choosing instead to operate the federal budget with a series of continuing resolutions to kick the can……
The budgetary can has been kicked, and kicked, and kicked again, down the road, by the Democrats, for almost five continuous years.
….. and President Obama states: “we are not a deadbeat nation”.

What did this clown do in Southside Chicago for all those years? Three card monte and shell-pea games on the street? How many real presidents have ever gone for the length of time he has without a budget? This guy’s a walking black-guy-with-money joke but for real – and we get to eat the problems 3-card Barry’s cooking up.
What should be done is to refuse to increase the debt limit and force default, in plain fact to shut down the government ….and keep it shut down as long as necessary since it is no longer functioning as a legitimate and lawful government. Force any continuing resolution measures into budget reconciliation process and stonewall Obama until legal process requirements for lawful government operations are restored, which will require a budget to be presented and approved. No more games. What will Obama do then ….abolish Congress ?
I agree…and I work for a Federal agency. His comments concerning the debt limit are completely untrue. Essentially what he is doing is mixing true debt spending (i.e. payment of interest, social security, etc) with “normal” operating expenses of the federal government. Reductions, real reductions, are needed in all areas of federal spending…but he is dead set against that. His arrogant tone makes me sick…I just don’t understand why someone in Congress can’t speak out on this. This man will drive us into the ground!!
I hope your last phrase “….abolish Congress?” wasn’t intended as a rhetorical bit. I have no doubt he would abolish Congress in a moment, and will…when the time is “right.”
