We were going to write last week about the Gabby Giffords opportunistic visit to Sandy Hook parents in Newtown, CT.   We chose not to, because of the grandma principle behind saying nothing when ya ain’t got nothing good to say; and she is cognitively disabled.  However…..

Gabrielle Giffords is merely a useful tool in the scheme to disarm gun owners.   The “crisis” not to be wasted is obviously the Newtown shooting;  And the group or individual to be “alinskyed” ie isolated, ridiculed and marginalized, is the NRA.

Most gun owners are not NRA members, and many gun owners do not like the previous positions of the NRA on other political issues.   But the Alinsky Team of Fabian Socialists need a specific target – that’s where the NRA comes in.   The NRA is specifically and optically being intentionally built into the narrative of ‘all gun owners’.  It’s how this crew works.

WASHINGTON DC – Former U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords D-Ariz. launched a new policy group this morning dubbed Americans for Responsible Solutions. The organization calls for government action to stop gun violence.

That sounds pretty standard, but in this morning’s USA Today op-ed, Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly specifically criticize the National Rifle Association – signalling that she will directly challenge the group’s influence.

(snip) Psy-Ops 101 What better attack dog, than a disabled congresswoman.  The opposition will be more worried about her feelings and their perception of being heartless, than your right to own a legal firearm…. /SD

Calling the organization an “ideological fringe,” Giffords calls out the NRA leadership’s “defiant and unsympathetic response” to the school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

“Rather than working to find the balance between our rights and the regulation of a dangerous product, these groups have cast simple protections for our communities as existential threats to individual liberties. Rather than conducting a dialogue, they threaten those who divert from their orthodoxy with political extinction,” she writes.  (more)
