Well I don’t see how Crump could be exempt from making an appearance. He’s an officer of the Court, the main subject of the motion, and the State has no business acting as Crump’s attorney. He had better well be there cause HE was the one ordered by the Court in connection with the 10 days to turn over the tape and various other things. Defense must be allowed to have the tape in it’s entirety. Will we see an appearance by attorney for DD? Crump does not represent DD … does he?, so perhaps we will see someone new come in huh? Just thinkin.
Also, in the Casey Anthony case we were able to see the video depositions of both Cindy and George Anthony. Would love to be able to watch the depositions of any and all people deposed by O’Mara/West. More eyes and ears to digest the testimony given. Do you think they will video tape the deps? and do you think we will be able to view the deps?
I want to correct myself. The video deps of Cindy and George I believe were posted in connection with the Gonzales case. But regardless ….
ottawa925: yes, the Cindy and George deposition debacle was videotaped by Morgan & Morgan for the civil case. If you recall, Cynthia brought her own video camera as well, with a tripod, and set it up facing the Morgan team. lol. The depos taken by the state of the Anthony parents were transcribed and ultimately released through discovery. There were a veritable encycLIEpedia of information.
but could we see these deps in this case .. the Trayvon/GZ case. I particularly would like to see the dep of Crump, as I think we all would. Wait … it hit me (takes awhile sometimes) ….”civil case”. So it’s allowed in a civil case, but not in a state’s case?
I would think with the sunshine laws we would eventually see everything, but we’ve seen very little with this case so far, and I’m not sure why.
If I am not mistaken, I was told that the reason we were able to see the depo’s in CA case, were that Morgan and Morgan released them to be shown, that they were for the civil trial.
If they’re physically present in the courtroom that day, they risk being ordered to turn over their passports on the spot.
