Friday Open Thread – November 30th

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

    HEY, everyone! T-G-I-F !!
Borrowed this from one of my Facebook friends:

You may have heard that Hostess Bakery plants shut down due to a workers’ strike. But you may not have heard how It was split up.

The State Department hired all the Twinkies, the Secret Service hired all the HoHos, the Generals are sleeping with the Cupcakes and the voters sent all the Ding Dongs to Congress.

No discussions about Palestine being recognized? Ugh. I’m beyond disgusted.

McConnell ‘Burst Into Laughter’ as Geithner Outlined Obama’s Plan

Geithner suggested $1.6 trillion in tax increases, McConnell says, but showed “minimal or no interest” in spending cuts. When congressional leaders went to the White House three days after the election, Obama talked of possible curbs on the explosive growth of food stamps and Social Security disability payments. But since Geithner didn’t mention them, those reductions appear to be off the table now, McConnell says.

TheBlaze |Ironically, the shooting occurred at the Brian Terry station near Naco, AZ. Terry is the agent shot and killed in Dec. 2010 by someone wielding a gun from the Fast and Furious gunwalking operation.

Barack Hussein Obama will not have any comment until he returns from his Hawaiian vacation next year.

“Benghazi Narrative Reads Like TWA 800′s”

Make this onee a must-read. A whole buncha deja-vu will slap ya’s right between yer eyeballs.

    • texan59 says:

This has been repeated a million times and I do not think any of the asshats in Congress care. Each and every one of them knows exactly how many votes they need to stay in power and that is their first and foremost worry. We are screwed.

  6. stellap says:

An important Supreme Court ruling is coming up – Don’t look now, but it has to do with the environment:

On December 3, the U.S. Supreme Court will consider who is best suited to set national environmental policy – the experienced scientists and regulators at the Environmental Protection Agency or activist trial lawyers.

After reading the article, it makes mores sense. Reading just the quote seems to be quite the problem. Mornin’ all. :D

      • stellap says:

Mornin’ Tex! Haven’t finished the first cup of coffee, and it’s almost time to leave for work. Salt mines and all. This time next year I won’t be working on Fridays (or Mondays). Can’t wait.

        • texan59 says:

Sorry for the omission. Credit where credit is due. My most sincere apologies. I do so hope you’ll be working those other days, for the chirrens and all. ;)

  7. WeeWeed says:

LOL!!! Seein’ this on the highway’d make me spew the coffee!! :D

Yes, “Lord Leveson” we feel ya pain across the pond too.

But here it’s the media being complicit with the ever growing number of scheme teams.

Pass the money buckets and gimme an amen!

  9. texan59 says:

I posted this late last night under the heading – Well Duh! Even some d’s are beginning to understand the problem. I don’t know if I agree that his job is the 2nd hardest in the Country, but he does realize that he has a problem.

The guy who thought Guam might tip over wants to restrict freedom of speech. I think it should be tried on him first, and see how that goes.

“We need a constitutional amendment to allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations,” said Johnson.

  12. Auntie Lib says:

Mornin’ Treepers! Noticed my senior senator, Max Baucus, dancing to the right on the Bloomberg Channel this morning. The guy talks about spending cuts like he has a clue. Trust me – he wouldn’t know a spending cut if one hit him in the head, but he has an election in 2014 – so time to woo the idiots back home with the politically expedient sound bites. Gag.

    • stellap says:

We’re going to have to do some more education on baseline budgeting, Auntie Lib. There are those who don’t know what that means.

      • Auntie Lib says:

Any of you recognize the name, “Jim Messina”? He got his start with Max in the 1996 election. Proof positive the guy can get anybody elected – Baucus, Obama – anybody! Max is dumber than a box of hair and everybody in the state knows it – yet Jim knows how to pull the strings, levers, whatever. It’s enough to make you crazy!!!

  13. ctdar says:

Meanwhile Obama continues to laugh at all especially media since they were a top reason for his reelection; their reputations are tied to him forever

    Mornin all!!!

  14. cajunkelly says:

I didn’t realize this jackass is the same person that did the “art” depicting traydmark as a little bitty boy pointing a bag of skittles at GZ depicted as a cop, wearing a KKK hood and pointing a gun at poor little traydmark.

    Now it all makes sense.

He keeps saying “my art isn’t for sale, I don’t do this for money” then Glenn backed him into a corner and made him admit he *does* sell it, in the form of posters and t-shirts…just not the originals.

WTH is it with filthy progs and parsing words? They’re slimey.

Should be no surprise when THAT party consists of people who couldn’t handle the real world:

Tough shit to them. I probably make less than they get from handouts, and I’ve been able to handle myself for half a year now with practically no problems, and with what minor issues do occur, I place the fault on myself for not being as fiscally sane as I SHOULD be. Take some damn responsibility, you slugs!

I heard this young lady in an odd environment and became an instant fan – she has an older soul. Or something! :D I likes her!

    • texan59 says:

Do you think she smokes those long, skinny French cigs to get that voice. With a little scotch on the side? Would like to see her in a smoke-filled bar with about 30 people.

      • WeeWeed says:

Brit – had some kinda throat surgery last year or so – very young. I’m with ya – small environment, and I’m there!! :D

  21. texan59 says:

This one’s a strange duck. She has one of those distinctive voices too.

  22. texan59 says:
