Actually, it’s a triple whammy: 1) legal requirement to get health care 2) reduced hours so they can’t pay for it and 3) being fined by the IRS for not having it.
It’s a rerun of the old debtors’ prisons and the Israelites in Egypt building bricks: require that you pay a bill; reduce your pay and you have no money to pay the bill; then you are penalized for not paying the bill; and you will be repeatedly penalized every year going forward until you pay the bill–which you can’t pay because you can’t get a job that pays enough to pay the bill.
Ah, yes. The wonders of obamacare–the bill that had to be passed so that we might learn what’s in it.
But of course, it all ends with the intended consequence: everyone terminally indebted to and under the control of the statists.
There is a sense in which even obamacare is, after all is said and done, a shiney thing–just to keep everybody hopping while the fences are built.
And it will get worse. Just like Obama. For example he has found possibly the only way to make the State Dept. worse than under Hitlery….Rice.
It seems nothing has changed.
