The way the propaganda on this has been running, it smells like a plan to bury the Benghazi story with Petraeus, and leave the public with a string of question marks and a lot of theories. Dead men tell no tales. So I figure somebody needs to keep him alive at least until after the congressional hearings, or it will very suspicious….even with his wife being so upset and stuff……a lot of stuff I’m not buying at all BTW.
I agree it is a HUGE distraction from more important issues, and it is being contrived, but…… the important stuff was looking like being buried anyway.. and this “scandal” drags Benghazi with it.

I haven’t read anything about pics Petraeus sent–I read that an FBI agent, a friend of the second woman, sent shirtless photos of himself (to whom, I don’t know.)
That is what I heard also……nothing about Petraeus. The agent supposedly sent the shirtless pics to Kelley (the gal who received the ‘unsettling emails’ and friend of his) and has since been prohibited from any role in the investigation.
Actually, given the kookoo, rushing, salacious, media —the pics could simply have been of this FBI agent on a beach hence no shirt.
It is Gen John Allen, and he sent “inappropriate” emails to Kelly.

Wow. That was fast. Remarkably different than getting to Benghazi… Documents and journals and such in the ashes of the consulate.
I read today they cleared out everything from the CIA annex within 2 days. They moved a Libyan family in quickly to prevent looting and attacks. Reporters saw NO damage there. Hmm.

If Obama thinks this is going to make me forget about Benghazi, or gaze in awe at how “efficient” he is when investigating Americans, he’s got another thing coming. On the other hand, I’m not from the wrong side of the aisle.
I note that this comes after the revelation of Broadwell saying that two Libyans were taken captive at the annex and the attack could have been to get the kidnapped people back.
Heh, If it was over kidnapped people they surely would want to come up with a video to blame and fast!
I think Gen Petreus might be running an op against Obama here. Assume for a moment that he actively opposed Obama on Benghazi. Furthermore; assume that Petreus assumed that Romney would win the election. If Romney won, then Petreus could simply inform the new POTUS as well as Congress. When it became apparent that Obama would win (through fraud? Petreus knew the fraud was imminent and has evidence?) Petreus had big problems. Big risk of turning up dead. By fabricating evidence of an affair then having Broadwell go full fucktard by “”threatening” Ms Kelly to get FBI attention, (are Ms Petreus and Ms Kelly as well as Broadwell in on the scam), then making a public confession, Petreaus brings the simulated affair to the front pages. His risk of turning up dead at Fort Marcy Park diminish immensely because everyone will ask questions. He just might live long enough to give interesting testimony to Congress and public.
Heads up…. I think Jill Kelly may be attached to Gen John Allen in a, shall we say, personal way.

Are all of the Generals and the women that our Generals allegedly shagging such imbeciles that they would send numerous indiscrete and harassing emails to each other to provoke the attention of the FBI? I don’t think so. Something far more complicated and sinister/hopeful is going on here. My guess is that we have a military in insurrection against a POTUS that was reelected through fraud. Admiral cammanding the Med CBG recalled in disgrace then General cammanding African theatre relieved. All of the sex stuff is just a smoke screen for something else. Perhaps all of the sexy Emails are a ruse to conceal coded messages? Will our military stage a coup? Whose side do we want to be on? If Obama is the type of POTUS that Democracy brings then I am willing to try dictatorship.

My first thought when the base story broke, what a nice gift from Obama on Veterans day.
Infidelity is much more common than most suspect, and most of it goes no place and is never heard about. Bill Clinton as governor had a pair of highway patrol guys that directed a steady flow of attractive young ladies to meet him.
I don’t think its fair either to assume someone like Patraeus was faced with a remotely normal level of temptation. It doesn’t sound like an office fling of opportunity either, these two like each other a lot, and that can turn into something not easily managed before the risk is apparent.

This is exactly right! Victims: George Bush, Mitt Romney, Petraeus, Herman Cain, Donald Trump (like him or not). I imagine Mitt Romney is not interested in being president now knowing what he’s up against with the media and hateful tactics against him and his family. He has a large extended family and grandchildren to think about. Add to it, once he won the primaries, Republicans at large were still criticizing him and saying he was not their first choice. How’s that for supporting a leader? You don’t see that with Democrats.
If we don’t stand behind the chosen leader and boisterously attack the other side, we lose. Senate 2014 is at risk if election fraud is happening. At that point, Obama has full control for two years. Allen West is in the fight of his life for his Congressional seat. Black, women, gay and ethnic minority representation in GOP party is being fraudulently targetted. It’s not different from KKK politics of the DNC.
