We are self-identified as The Last Refuge for a very specific reason.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.”

[…]  When Congress refuses to act, and as a result, hurts our economy and puts our people at risk, then I have an obligation as President to do what I can without them. (Applause.)

I’ve got an obligation to act on behalf of the American people. And I’m not going to stand by while a minority in the Senate puts party ideology ahead of the people that we were elected to serve. (Applause.)

Not with so much at stake, not at this make-or-break moment for middle-class Americans. We’re not going to let that happen.

President Barack Obama (2012)

In other words, Obama spits on separate-but-equal branches of government. He urinates on the Constitution. And he is quickly, inexorably, transforming this nation into a Banana Republic.   So, Democrats and those of like-minded association:

Do you recognize the serious price you are going to pay for your failure to stand up for American laws, traditions and ethics ?   You will live, eventually, to regret tolerating lawless, anti-American behavior that undermines the foundations of this Republic.

President Obama’s behavior — and its subsequent approval by Congressional leaders like the deplorable Harry Reid and the despicable Nancy Pelosi — represent a slap in the face of every Marine, Soldier, Sailor and Airman, who take an oath to uphold the Constitution — and then put their lives on the line to follow through with their sworn oath.

We carry a greater understanding than most; Realizing something self-evident, liberal promises are merely full of feel-goodiness, and utterly empty platitudes, designed entirely to tug on emotions and embrace victimhood and entitlement mentality.

They are used solely to encourage people to never think on their own. And it can be dangerously tempting.   They sound nice in unexamined theory. Everyone likes free candy! So, it’s easy for some to believe that one should have A Right to everything one simply wants.

Occupy Wall Street Protester – New York City 2011

President Obama and the liberal congress are showing Americans these twisted theories in practice, and the truth is being revealed, albeit unintentionally.   However, obviously given the recent election results, few are yet fully comprehending the totality of the scheme.

The reality is that throwing (other people’s) money around, the feel good-y meaningless rhetoric and naive utopian ideas never work in practice. In fact, they do the opposite. They are actually detrimental in practice. Worse, they aren’t even meant to work; they are only meant to gain and keep Power.

They are meant to keep the citizenry dependent and sheeplike. The Left would like nothing more than to change “We, the People” to “We, The Sheeple.”

It might be impossible to wake up everyone, but more and more people are waking up each day.   And as each unintended consequence becomes visible they will come to understand that there is only one thing which everyone does have a true Right to, which doesn’t require a monetary “stimulus package”, yet is also oh-so-invaluable, nor does it have a need for “reform.”

Freedom.

Now in the interim period between “cause and effect”, which is right where we currently stand, there are divergent approaches.    Bill Whittle has one, and Ann Barnhardt has another.     Another track similar to Barnhardt is within the construct of Robert Oculus.

You will note that all three points of similar diversion contain a dispatch of modern resistance.    Whittle advocates for a separate and exclusive parallel society.   Ann Barhardt advocates for extreme lawlessness and publicly, angrily, Going Gault.   Robert Oculus just cuts out the infection, abandons the limb and focuses on the remaining healthy bit.

The problem with all 3 approaches is reflected in the picture that leads this post.   “Isolation”.     How many conservative patriots can actually live, function, and survive beyond those walls?   Are we just willing to write them off?  Are You?

Is she not yet still worth fighting for?

We think so.

And while we’re fighting, we are not going to tell the cannon holders what Trees we are hiding in, or what our entry point is into the collective society behind the wall.  What separates the American Patriot apart from any other person in the world is an American would rather die on his feet, than live on his knees.  That means something to us, and perhaps to you also.

Knowledge is power – A single sniper, perfectly willing to die for principle, well skilled, well-trained and severely disciplined, can keep an entire selfish battalion in fear while halting their advance.

Want proof?

Example:   The entire monolithic collective governmental legal apparatus is united against George Zimmerman – Yet an insignificant Treehouse can hold back the opposition.

The Treehouse is truly going to be a REFUGE in the days ahead.  And as that becomes increasingly important, we will guard the DNA of it even more fiercely.   This is a place where like-minded folks gather to restore their strength and build themselves up for the ongoing battle, whatever form it takes, and we will protect it.
