The progs are proclaiming the gift of Dear Leader responding appropriately to the continuing disaster of Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy. Indeed, yes, it appears that President Obama has actually engaged himself in a Regional Weather Disaster and a Regional emergency response.
Yeah, he’s doing his job. But, *ahem* I hate to be all captain obvious but that is HIS job. The number one job of ANY President is the safety and security of it’s citizenry. So, yeah, he deserves the recognition that he is actually doing his job.
Sad, however, that we have lowered the bar of expectation to such a level we now congratulate the leadership of our nation for doing ‘what they are expected to do’, No? Have “we” lowered the expectation, or did an inept Presidency lower the expectation? (from GWP)
- It took Barack Obama 7 days to visit Joplin, Missouri after a tornado wiped out half of the town and killed 120 people.
- It took Barack Obama fourteen days to visit the gulf coast after the BP oil spill.
- Obama declined to visit Tennessee after the historic 2010 1000 year floods.
- ….. and Obama ignored the Texas wildfires when over 400 homes were lost.
So, again, yeah it’s nice to see President Obama actually doing what President Obama is actually and specifically supposed to do. But why now? And what’s different?
Nice to see President Obama actually engaged in assisting the Governors of the affected states. Thank you.
It’s YOUR JOB
Meanwhile it still does not mean there is a role for the President in deciding what food can be in my fridge, or what lightbulbs I choose to use, or what my kids eat for lunch, or how much I choose to give to charity, or what healthcare I decide to use, or not use, or how much water I want in my toilet.
Yes, there is a role for government. And Yes, it is nice to see government protecting it’s citizens from things outside of their control. BUT STAY THE HECK OUT OF MY OWN PERSONAL DECISIONS unrelated to, and unconditional upon, the affect to anyone other than ME and MY FAMILY.
THAT, among a host of other nonsense, danger, shortsightedness, unintended consequences and insufferable ideology, is why Prog Obama sucks today, last week, last month and last year.
*carry on*
