KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - An elderly couple is recovering Tuesday after they were brutally beaten inside their south Kansas City home. The woman, 84, was also raped, according to a police report.
Tony L. Putman, 18, of Kansas City was charged with six felonies Tuesday afternoon. The charges include one count of rape and two counts of robbery.
The couple’s ordeal began about 1:30 p.m. Monday when a man broke into their home near 73rd Street and Campbell Avenue. Entry was gained through a basement window, which was broken.
The 93-year-old man was home alone when the suspect began to ransack the house and attacked him, police said.
Putman hit the man in the face and bound him with belts, according to court documents. In the meantime, the man’s 84-year-old wife came home. She had been at the bank where she had gotten $400.
Police said the woman came into the house and heard her husband moaning.
“She went upstairs to check on him and she met his attacker,” according to court documents. “He bound her hands and demanded money. She gave him $5.”
After forcing the woman upstairs, the man took $400 from her she had just received from the bank. He then raped her, according to court documents. Putman allegedly also stole jewelry from the home.
After the 93-year-old man broke free, he discovered his wife crumpled in a heap on the floor.
“You see all that stuff in the news and then the next thing you know it happens to your family,” said Chris Garcia, who is married to the couple’s daughter. “It’s just a horrible thing that someone would do something like that to two elderly people.”
After receiving a description of the stolen vehicle, police kept an eye out for it. Just before 3 p.m., police became involved in a short chase with the driver. Three people inside the car were taken into custody but ultimately not charged.
“I did it all,” Putman allegedly told police when he was taken into custody. “They had nothing to do with anything.”
Putman cut his arm while breaking in and blood evidence was obtained at the scene, according to court documents. (read more)

The rape of an elderly women seems gratuitously perverted until you consider that it is about asserting dominance, more over the man than the woman.
A large fraction of Black males have overwhelming hatred and resentment towards White people. Electing President Obama has done nothing to promote racial reconciliation. Al it has done is embolden the thugs because Obama and Holder have shown that they have their back.

Oh yes, and you’re exactly right about rape. It is an act of dominance and power over the victim, the ultimate humiliation and indignity. And yes, its dominance over the male, by doing this to his female.
People who do such things are savages, and I fear the matrix that this creature came out of. How many have been bred in that matrix, and to empower them by crying racism will not stop their victimization of the innocent. We are literally being terrorized by those who are forged in the crucible of vengeful thug cultures.

Sadly these kinds of crimes are not uncommon, the lure of attacking a helpless elderly resident is frequently irresistible to an urban thug on the prowl, and the crimes largely go unreported by the victims and ignored by the press unless they can report it without getting race into the mix. Our worst days used to be the days the social security checks were delivered – they were stolen from mailboxes, they were stolen from recipients who were on their way to cash them and most often they were stolen at check cashing services by the thugs who hung around outside like vultures. We’d increase our patrols, as much as we could, to cover the worst areas but The Usual Suspects outnumbered us. Victim fear plays a large part in it – they are told by the thugs that if they report it they’ll come back and kill them all. A few regular kill-everyone-in-the-house home invasions drives home the point. We regularly ran into elderly retiree, living in what were once family innercity areas, who hadn’t been outside of their homes for weeks at a time and never went outside after dusk. And there are still people who wonder why we retired and left the city for a rural area…
