Some of them realized that police corruption meant that he would certainly be freed to do the same thing again. So they killed him. They did exactly the right thing. Why? Because the desperate need for justice does not evaporate when the state no longer even pretends to address it. In doing so, they saved innocent lives. In Africa, where a state of open war exists between Christians and Muslims, such a decision is easy to justify. Here in the West, it is much more difficult to decide at what point our government is no longer on our side. It is getting perilously close, and that is what I find increasingly disturbing. We are now in real, palpable danger of the state of Israel evaporating due to the efforts of our own government. When that happens, I think the line has been crossed. Just my opinion.

I never said anything about judgment. We are all required by God to fight for what is good. Nowhere in the Old Testament does God ask the Israelis to sacrifice themselves to their enemies who want to wipe them out. Nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus tell us to “forget about all that.” He only tells us that we should love our enemies, even as we fight them.

Actually that is the next logical conclusion. What makes a baby after delivery any more a person or viable than before it travels thru the birth canal?
Yep. I read a story on The Stir about a woman who hid her pregnancy and then drowned her twins in the toilet immediately after birth. Oh, the outrage in the comments! How horrible this woman was, how she should burn in hell, blah blah blah, largely by the same loo-loo feminists who get all fired up about women’s “reproductive rights” and “choice” in other stories. My comment was along the lines of: “Looks to me like she saved herself some money. Why pay someone else to murder your children when you can do it your ownself?”. That’s the reality that they refuse to admit. And don’t ever let anyome give me the “viability” argument. You take a full term healthy baby and isolate it and see how long it can survive without it’s mother. They need care from the moment they are conceived and for many years after.
Yeah, it takes a really brave feminist to take the life of a helpless infant.

I was watching a livestream of the MT gubernatorial debate from Great Falls on my laptop and the race was on TV – it was kinda hard to tell which had the bigger wreck. There are a couple of real whackos and they were out in all their glory tonight. The libertarian candidate makes Ron Paul look like a real mainstream, thoughtful, moderate, class act.
Debate’s over and the race is back on… MIght as well see hoe it all ends.
